Well, don't count on the camps to happen as they advertise. My son's camp that was to start on Jan 2 was cancelled 10 minutes before they closed the office on New Year's Eve. So we get to start 2023 with no child care or activities for him. They gave me no notice that this was going to happen. In fact they confirmed just an hour earlier. I booked this camp weeks ago and never heard that they might cancel at the absolute late possible minute. What a way to run a business for kids. read more

Excellent all around. Incredibly recommended. Used B2R for my daughter's 8th birthday party. We are a very musical family and this concept fit the bill perfectly. Let's get a few things out in the open right away: - You do not need to be a musician to enjoy this place. - You don't need to be a kid to have a birthday party here (adult party here would be awesome) - You do not need any instruments - This place's core business is lessons. I've only been here for a party, but I'm coming back for the lessons - They teach music as a 'team sport', everyone gets to be in a band as they learn. Smart. The owners are incredibly nice and everyone has a great attitude. The equipment provided works just fine for fun recording sessions. The booth is appointed well. The space is large with multiple rooms for concurrent lessons, breakouts, jam rooms ... whatever. The party itself was a blast. The kids were given a crash course in learning very basic instrumental parts for a pre-selected song (which the birthday guest selects). No musical education is required. Sounds crazy, but you don't need to be a musician to have fun here and be a part of a recording session. After the separate tracks were laid down (vocals, guitar, bass, drums, keys); the party moved to cake eating mode. During this time, the producer mixed down and mastered the track, burned to CD's, and handed each attendee a copy. It was quite an experience for the kids to listen to their professional recording in the car on the drive home. The quality of the mixdown and mastering is absolutely acceptable given the talent level of the performers and the fact it went down while people were, literally, eating cake. I liked this party for many reasons: 1) it's unique 2) it's affordable, relative to your other typical options 3) there's a learning component involved. 4) facilities were very nice 5) I brought the snacks, drinks, cake, etc. I like this better as you can control the items and budget for this aspect of the party. 6) the owners and staff are ridiculous friendly 7) the CD giveaway at the end was really special and memorable. Certainly beats a bag of plastic toys you lose immediately. 5 stars way up for Bach 2 Rock in Houston. I'm glad they're here. read more

We have a 4 year old boy who just loves how they teach music. He has been able to try several different types of instruments and is being taught basic rhythm. The teachers helped him grow out of his shy, clinging to mother habits with gently loving professionalism. Our child is always excited to go to class and happy when leaves. Happy child-happy mom & dad. We usually stick around until class has ended but other parents often leave their children and pick them up after class has finished. My wife observed that they are very concerned for the safety of the children. They make sure that each child is safely returned to their correct parents after class and they do not let them wonder out without supervision. My wife and I agree that enrolling our child in these classes is a great investment. Great job! read more

The business is more interested in taking your money than teaching, high school students double as teachers and classes are 25 mins for $40. They say 30 mins but the "teacher" stops 5 mins before to have the kids pack up to get a couple of free minutes before the next kid comes in. Don't recommend this place at all. read more

Bach to Rock has been a joy for my three year old daughter to attend. One thing we have been working to develop with her is to be less clingy and more independent. As a "drop off" class, we were concerned she would just cry for mom and dad and demand to be let out of the classroom. To our surprise and delight, she took to the engaging early childhood "Rock City" taught by Jonathan very well. The warm up is to Queen's "We Will Rock You" that reinforces a rhythm exercise. She loves it so much that she sometimes requests that we play it on our Amazon Echo so she can clap along at home! While I sometimes need to be in the classroom to re-assure my daughter at the beginning of class, I can usually leave the classroom during the warm up. Occasionally the excellent staff needs to help serve as the "authority figure" that let's my daughter know that parents need to leave the room and she is fine learning from Jonathan along with other kids. The owners are local to the Memorial area and are really nice people to work with. There is a true sense that they have a passion for music education and childhood development and that attitude extends to their staff and musical instructors. A++ read more

My 4.5 yo son attended the Rock City World Tour summer camp and had a blast. Mr. Isaiah was upbeat and engaging and made the camp fun for the kids. The kids got exposure to different instruments and they even learned some basic music theory. It was so cute to find my son humming the tune to Do-Re-Mi (Sound of Music) one day while eating a snack.:) read more

My son loves his Rock City class! All the teachers and staff are so wonderful and knowledgeable. Rock City is like a musical petting zoo. Each week a new instrument is introduced and the class gets to play and talk about all the different types of instruments they get to play. I love that my son can be introduced to so many different types of instruments and music in this class. He loves that he can play and be creative and make lots of noise!! I was in town visiting my family and went with my nephew to Bach to Rock and it was a blast! I sat in the early childhood music class and it was very interactive. Their facility had all sorts of different rooms and it was really nice and clean. Everybody there was also extremely friendly and helpful the whole time I was there. Bach to Rock is definitely the spot for anything music related in the memorial area! read more

Bach To Rock Memorial had been Fantastic! Both of my girls have been taking lessons there, Piano and youngest learning the basics {now actually knows the musical notes} I'm very happy with the staff, teachers there. Proud of the progress.
