Very knowledgable & friendly staff in this great music store. If it's findable, these folks can locate rare albums, CDs, etc.

John, the owner, said to me today, "Every record in this store matters." If he has it, it's worth the sticker price.

What a great place! CD's & records are in good shape with an eclectic collection, something for…read moreevery genre. If you need good quality refurbished equipment, they can set you up for a lot less than expected. They also teach! Guitar at least, that's what I inquired about. I took my guitar in for repairs and it was done faster than promised and cost less than they quoted. I've read the other reviews that said they can work on customer service; and I can see how they could get impatient with silly questions and trying to barter a buck off a record cost. Come on though, this isn't a warehouse bargain store or dollar crap shipped from China. It's for people serious about music and I personally feel blessed to have their expertise in our area. Thank you Musichead :)

As a fellow business owner, this place needs help when it comes to customer service…read more I get it, the internet has destroyed the music selling business, and you have a lot of product that probably collects dust, and on top of that you are in a small market. you may have regulars that keep you above water, however when someone new walks into your store, the least you could do would be to greet the customer and see what brings them in today. Below is the transcript of the conversation the business OWNER and I had: **I walk into the store, I have never been into the store, carrying a bunch of Vinyl Records.. ME: **I see the owner, (only person in the place) going through some records in the middle of the store. he looks up, then looks back down. I walk over to him. Me: Hey there! How are you doing today? Him: okay... Me: Okay, well I recently got these old vinyls out of a storage auction and wanted to know if you wouldn't mind giving them a look and seeing if there is anything valuable or if you would be interested in them. Him: So, you want me to value your records? Me: Umm, I guess. Him: You want to fix my car? Me: ..... Ummmm.... Just wanna see if i can get rid of these or not... Him: I'll take a look....... **After a few moments he says he will give me $6 for the stack of about 25 vinyls. two of which were Beatles and sell on Ebay for $15 a piece. I understand mark ups, but $6 for about 25 near mint vinyls.... Then, it gets better.... Me: How about an even $10? Him: Listen, I have a business to run, bills to pay... $6, take it or leave it.... I simply left. I am a business owner local in Medford and know a lot of businesses. I cannot wait to share this story at our next outing. A little customer service goes a long way. If you don't want new business, then close shop and retire. do not say you are open, if in fact you could care less about anyone coming in. For anyone reading this, for a good laugh call before hours and listen to the VM..."Bring anything in for the best pricing in town! Come here before anywhere else!"

As of now one of the 2 used record stores in town. This one is of course worth checking out, huge…read moreselection at various price points. Some I felt were a bit too high and the place is packed with records so you will often have to move stacks of records out of your way if you want to sort though the bins. That does make it a bit harder to shop but those two little issues I have don't detract from this rating. I did hear from the owner (Nov 2025) that they will be moving again and I think it will be near Rouge Theater next year so be sure to double check address or call if you are coming here. I think he said moving in 2026 but I forgot if he said spring or summer.

Lots of stacks to dig thru. It can be a bit dusty /disorganized. Vinyl isnt super clean i would say fair / Good / VG- Make sure you CHECK your vinyl. Make sure you CHECK your vinyl. Again. Check your vinyl. Pull it out. Check it. Some records are scratched, warped etc he wipes most of them down but hes a bit in over his head. Fair prices. I saw him straight turn down someone looking to sell vinyl , because hes so overwhelmed. And he wasn't super nice about it. Its like your typical old man dusty buried treasure record store. Found some gems original pressings of the WHO and doobie brothers first record. Plays great! Owner would benefit from a volunteer or some help. Great store.
