I just bought a pedal from Music Go Round Fort Worth online. When it arrived, it didn't work on batteries. I specifially needed battery function & this issue was not mentioned in the listing. When I pointed this out, the manager, David, left a voicemail to the effect that they wouldn't cover my return shipping because (in all seriousness) he doesn't "know anyone who uses batteries in pedals." I pointed out that I'm now left with a choice of an expensive repair or expensive return shipping (it's a heavy, vintage pedal) - a message that David simply ignored. Reading other reviews here, I'm clearly far from the only customer who has been disappointed by Music Go Round Fort Worth's misrepresentation of gear online. AVOID! read more

Recently purchased a used Hamer Slammer. Before buying, I called and inquired upon the condition of the frets and fretboard and the general condition. Was told no issues. Received the guitar with a hole in the rosewood, multiple cracks and dried glue from the nut, missing screws, as well as rust and pitting on every piece of metal, including in the pots. Sent photos to the shop and inquired why they would ever sell a guitar in this condition. They indicated I was "accusing them" of misrepresenting the guitar, which they didn't take my word for. I explained that they didn't have to take my word for it, as I sent photos. They also said if it was damaged in transit on the way back, using their materials, they would deduct it from my return. Will never even consider doing business with this store again. Shameful. read more

I recently bought a bass guitar from the owner of this store, I asked him before buying about the bass condition, he said other than the battery cover, if you was in the store, you couldn't tell it's not new! I received the bass and it has dings and cracks on the bass! I sent him pictures, he said he only saw one small ding! All I wanted was for him to pay return shipping since he misrepresented the condition. He said not doing it! read more

YESSSS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED!! My nephew got a makeshift drum kit for his birthday and needed a few parts for it to be completed. They had everything we needed and the guy who helped us (can't remember name) was extremely chill and helped us sort through all of the accessories to help us find the cheapest ones. Highly suggest and recommend this place to any music lover out there looking for a great deal with no hassle. read more

Purchased a used wood instrument with a hairline crack in the top. When I called, they offered to take it back, but I was more surprised that it wasn't noted in the description of the product. It's a rare instrument, so I kept it and got it repaired myself. Note to future purchasers--might be worth a call to discuss instruments before purchase. read more

Music Go Round Sucks, mainly the store in Fort Worth, TX. David & staff do a bad job, failure to exercise appropriate and ethical music gear inspection before sells you any gear online and they don't list an accurate description of any damaged gear on their website. Basically, If you buy online your screwed. David is not willing to give you a partial refund after you received your damage gear. I don't recommend doing business with a negligence store. read more

Well they did it to me again. I switched out a broken saxophone that could not be repaired to play a proper tune for a saxophone that seemed newer and in better shape. Come to find out there were so many small dents it could not play a consistent tune. DO NOT BUY USED INSTRUMENTS FROM THEM if you are not educated on instruments. There used brass and wood wind instruments are completely unacceptable. DT read more

Walked in and didn't get acknowledged until I got to the back of the store by someone that did online sales. I was the only one there. She was helpful and patient with me. I found something they didn't have listed on their website and I showed an interest. I had found something identical to it locally but at a much lower price. My problem was I had time constraints. So I tried to see if they had some wiggle room on the price and was then I was told to go and buy it from where I found it cheaper. So I did, instead I drove just down the street to guitar center and bought the amp new.They didn't seem too interested in retaining a repeat customer just the now sale. So the owner was willing to sacrifice a new customer over $20 that he still would have made a profit on... seems like a well run business to me. read more

I bought an alto sax almost a year ago from this location and was assured the technician checked it all out and was in playing condition. I've been playing clarinet for 35 yr, but figured it was just me since I was new to sax, that I couldn't get the low C out. In September, 6 mos after the purchase, the solder came off the neck octave key, costing me $50 in repair. Since that time, I bought a good quality Tenor sax and have had no trouble with low C. So I tried out some altos this week and no problem getting low C out. Therefore, it was the alto sax I bought from this company all along. I still cannot get low C out of it and that should not be the case after a year of practicing, if it was correctly adjusted/repaired to be begin with. It's basically a useless instrument unless I want to sink tons of money into something that isn't worth it. It should have NEVER been sold as playable. read more
