POOR PROFILED SERVICE!!!! Stopped by this store today, walked in, asked for Fender bass, lady said…read morewe don't have those. Walked to rack and picked one right up. I heard her say to other employee "He don't look like someone that would/could use/buy those. Guy did come over and said "oh we dont carry those, but we do have some for sale on consignment". He handed me a plug and walked off. Well I plugged in and gave them five minutes of bass and walked out. After I left, decided to return and give her a piece of my mind and and said my money will be spent elsewhere. Lady tried to beg/apologize but I said it's too late. 2845 Industrial Dr, Sanford, NC 27332

Bluntly, this store was odd. First, I tried to browse the music section, and I was helped by a young man who could only me a few method books and no other music for my instrument. Moving on, I inquired about their flute selection because I'm an (older) amateur musician who is in the market for a 2nd instrument. They looked around the sales floor and told me they knew they had a flute around somewhere but couldn't find it. Strange. Then the saleswoman went to the backroom and didn't return. Was that their way of saying they didn't want to assist me? I purchased a small accessory item (a little overpriced, but I support mom & pop stores and am not surprised), and the young man who rang me up suddenly started looking down at something on his counter while keeping my item. I had to ask for him to give me the accessory that I bought! Lots of guitar stuff here, but definitely not a place for any meaningful woodwind supplies or even a student woodwind instrument.

This appears to be more of a lesson studio and setup/repair shop than an instrument dealer…read more Lessons seem to be performed right in the main shop as one young lady was struggling to make chord changes while the instructor was giving her positive encouragement. The gentleman giving the lesson appeared to be both patient and kind, a necessity with beginner students. He told us to let him know if we needed anything, we acknowledged/thanked him and quickly browsed the shop to see what might be of interest. While there's a Gibson Acoustic, an aging Ovation 12 string Acoustic and a somewhat damaged Carvin bass on display, most of the guitars seem to be of "Beginner" quality. For instance, maybe I didn't look in the right place, but I did not see any Fender guitars that weren't squire's, nor did I see any Gibson electrics. I did see an Epiphone, a Hondo, a couple Jasmine's and so on. There are also several other stringed instruments, violins, upright basses and the like. Some were repaired and on display, and others were in various stages of repair. All in all, the shop seems to be geared toward the beginning and budding musicians looking for entry level instruments and someone to teach them how to play. Absolutely nothing wrong with that model. I do hope to stop in again the next time I'm in Pittsboro.

It's a small shop and appears to be for lessons and lower end guitars primarily, but Tony Sullivan…read moreis an exceptional luthier and works on all string instruments. He has done amazing work for me on several electrics, a world class nylon string that I really goofed up which he brought back to life, and even my banjo. He is one of the most knowledgable and talented luthiers I've ever met, and his rates are very fair and the turnaround time is always reasonable. First Rate!

There aren't too many places in the world any longer that you can call perfect. People are in a…read morehurry, they have a lot on their minds, life is brutal and ugly, and parking is a nightmare. Happily, Casino Guitars is like a great, large, lumbering dinosaur of goodness and virtue that bestrides the land like a Colossus of All That Is Still Right In This World. It is Camelot made real in the 21st century, located in the Sand Hills of North Carolina. Ensorcelled by their Youtube chemistry, I drove down to their shop, opened the door and there stood Jonathan, his beard resplendent in the store lighting, working diligently on the store computer. He looked up and said hello and I saw to it that he did not get one single solitary bit of work done for the next 60 to 90 minutes. I was curious about perhaps purchasing a Martin guitar and Jonathan basically walked me through the entire Martin product line, answering every question in a manner so direct and unencumbered with jargon that even a simple old codger such as myself could grasp the meaning of his words. Long story short (and there is much more to the story, oh gentle reader, much more indeed) I left with a solid mahogany Martin that will surely last for generations to come. Casino's mantra is "we want you to get the right guitar", and they did that in a manner that seemed to be effortless, and yet it spoke to the quality of the people who own the store and the people who labor there. They take joy in their work, and it is reflected in their words and deeds. I give them five stars because yelp will not let me give them many, many more. Take a chance and trust me on this: You MUST peregrinate to Casino Guitars at least once in your life. Your soul will thank you.

He was a very nice and personable guy. I'm an older guy now approaching 70 yrs old. I been playing guitar for 58 of those years. If I Wanted I could purchase any of the guitars in the shop. After returning home I sent an email inquiring about trading a guitar(nice high end guitar). They did a whole youtube video about taking trades. The response I received was a BLANK email. I thought this may have been sent by mistake so I resent it. Again a blank email response. I felt this was rude and disrespectful. I'm a big boy and could take if they didn't want my trade, but the no response thing was not cool. Maybe 2yrs. later I sent an email about a custom shop Gretsch. Since they are part of Fender I thought they may be able to help. In this case I receive no response at all. I seems a lot of people have had great experiences there, but this has been my experience. I've chased them about as far as I am willing. I wish them the best and Shawn as I said came across as a nice guy, but I have since bought 3 nice guitars and they did not come from Casino. I would rather support a local shop. There aren't many left, but a written response would have garnered more respect than a Blank email or no response at all. Just my experiece.
