In university at USF I took a semester of ballet and the teacher complimented my technique as being the best one in the class, all thanks to the wonderful education I received at academy of arts. Now in 2025 my 3 year old daughter is taking classes and is enjoying every class. My mother, daughter and I recently went to the Christmas show and we were so proud to experience the show. It was such a great show, still professional and beautiful. 13 years later and Academy of Arts is still producing wonderful dancers. The faculty is certified and have led professional careers in their respective areas of creative expertise. They begin laying a foundation from the preschool years all the way to young adulthood. And they have both female and male students. They also offer an AfterSchool program and work your child's classes at a mutually suitable schedule. I enrolled my daughter at Pines Music Studio over a year ago, shortly after she turned 5. She…read morestarted piano with Ms. Liliam. I could not ask for a better teacher. Unfortunately the schedule changed and we had to switch instructors. Second instructor was good but my daughter somehow didn't want to practice at home, a necessary deal with piano. We decided to switch back to Ms Liliam this time doing Voice, and was my daughter ecstatic! Not only is Ms. Liliam a talented instructor, but she is super patient, sweet and simply amazing with my daughter. My daughter looks forward to her lesson every Saturday. The staff are nice as well... polite and knowledgeable. Only drawback for me is the difficultly with the scheduling. Instructor slots book up really fast (clearly this school is going places and is in demand), so you may have to settle for a time that is not really the best for you. This is understandable though as most, if not all the instructors are part time. Many of them are furthering their music education at the same time. They have informed me that they are trying to open up more time slots so hopefully that will happen soon. But all in all, I'm quite happy with this school.

They NEVER have time to do make up sessions (because they are short in personnel) so when your kids get sick and don't come to class they will never schedule your make up session that you ALREADY paid for. The receptionists are not kind! (Watch out for Isabella)! They say "their policy states that make up sessions are every 6 weeks" so, if your kid gets sick or injured in a sport and can't make it to class, you better plan to just lose your money because they won't refund you, nor reschedule a class that you already paid. Maybe the people in Davie already knew how sketchy this academy is, because their academy closed over there, maybe for lack of students! If they did to them what they did to me, now I understand why no one would go there, he se having to close their business. We ended up loosing about $200 dollars in all but, save yourselves the headache of dealing with sketchy people and pay a little more to have your children in a more reputable music school! We have now a private teacher who comes to our house and we have seen an improvement in our kids music skills. Not like the 6 months we just wasted at this place.
