I can't recommend Michael highly enough. We needed to replace very old/ancient wiring for a ceiling…read morelight, and after having other electricians look at the job, it seemed like wall and ceiling damage was inevitable. This electrician found a smart, creative solution that others didn't, avoiding damage. That alone was impressive. What really stood out was the communication and follow-up. From the first interaction, everything was clear, timely, and professional. He showed up fully prepared for multiple scenarios, which made the whole process efficient and stress-free. Michael is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly takes pride in doing things the right way. There was zero pressure or upselling--just honest recommendations with real integrity. You can tell he's focused on long-term safety and quality, not quick fixes. Michael was also clean, respectful of our home, and left the space better than expected after the work was done. On top of that, he went above and beyond to make sure the final result was done exceptionally well, not just "good enough." (And he was so kind and patient with my dogs!) If you're looking for an electrician who is skilled, thoughtful, trustworthy, and genuinely cares about doing excellent work, this is the one to call. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.

I had an art deco lamp (see photo) which I rescued from being thrown out at my office many years…read moreago. The lamp has served me on my home office desk but recently the switch failed. I thought about fixing it myself but decided to hire a pro. Finding a place which restores old lamps which also had good reviews required some research but with the assistance of Yelp. I finally zeroed in on Lightworks. They did an excellent job of restoring my lamp. In addition to replacing the switch they also replaced the cord. They even found a plug which is appropriate to the era (see picture). They are not easy to find. They are located at the back of a rather large building with several tenants. Go north on 14 th Street from East Hennepin about 3 blocks until you reach Winter Street. Keep going straight across Winter on 14 th. It dead ends after about a block and Lightworks is on the left. In addition to repairs they have a nice selection of light fixtures which are restored originals or replicate vintage fixtures. Great if you have an older home. I highly recommend.

But it was something that my mom left behind when she passed away. The amount that I paid for it was a great amount it is working I'm very grateful for that. If anyone wants to go and get up antique lamp or any current lamp fix this is a place to go.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore - This is heavy solid metal. It would be awesome on a fence or house. I couldn't pass it up for 20$.

Having purchased a house last year, I have needed to buy so many things including furniture, rugs,…read morelamps, tools, and random other stuff. This place has so many things for such affordable prices. Some of the items are brand new and even with the tag still on and some are more antique used items. The stock of what is available there is so random and can very depending on what they receive but they generally offer a selection of couches, tables, chairs, rugs, bookshelf's, and appliances. However, the best deal there are the lightbulbs. 4 bulbs for 99 ¢. Unbeatable.

I didn't buy anything, but I left impressed enough (by the inventory) to put it on my list of…read moreplaces to shop again and/or recommend. There's a good variety of used and new items, along with various categories of goods.... big and small. Pricing varies as well, but you can bet your paying less than retail price. Some of the basics: sofas, artwork, rugs, paint, bedframes, lightbulbs, patio furniture, Some of the interesting: church pew, chandeliers, fancy stoves, building material (flooring, fixtures, cabinets) Some of the little things: command strips, paper towel holder, bath mat, frames There's so much, and you never know what you'll find during your visit so check it out. I will say, staff didn't seem warm and friendly (ie a smile, or offer to help), but at the same no one was directly rude. I gather if you ask for help, they'd assist. I noticed by the bed frames, a sign that said they have tools to disassemble, but you had to do it yourself, which is still helpful since some places wouldn't even offer that.
