This building is beautiful! We took the elevator up to the second floor and were seated right away. I love the atmosphere of the inside of the restaurant. Next time we will sit outside because it looked so nice out there. We had a table next to the window and the views were so pretty. Our server Tim stopped by right away and I asked him to surprise me with a cocktail. He picked me out the perfect drink! It was called Smoke, Spice and Everything Nice. It was sweet, it was spicy, and it was a little bit salty. It was SO good! Thank you, Tim! My husband had the schnitzel and I ordered the special of the ribeye steak. My husband said his meal was amazing and that the mashed potatoes were perfect he also loved the sauce on his schnitzel. He wished there was more sauce because it was so good. He also subbed out the mixed veggies for Cole slow and he enjoyed it. My ribeye came with asparagus and roasted potatoes. Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My steak had the perfect char and was cooked to a perfect medium. I didn't have to add salt to anything. My steak had a pimento cheese on top and ohhh my goodness did it add a whole other element to my steak. It was so flavorful and the texture was so good. Tim was a GEM! His personality is so fun. The food was horrible There were six of us and no one liked their food not one. The macaroni and cheese disgusting. The blackened shrimp sandwich had shrimp you needed to find with a microscope. The view is fabulous and our server Drake was wonderful but the food yuck. Every one of us decided that we would return for an adult beverage and the view, but we would never eat there again. We dined here twice this week. It was our first time here. We frequently visit this area and will return here when in town. What an awesome place. The view of the bay and water is perfect. I can't give 5 stars to a place that I have not eaten at. This review is probably about 3.5 but will improve after they get settled in. The brewery/restaurant has been open about a month and they are working out some kinks. The beer/dining hall is open, bright and loud-ish. We sat at the bar and were promptly served. We were given a drink list and they have their beer recipes that are made locally by Pigeon Hill. It would have been helpful to have beer descriptions not just names and ABV. There is not much charm here and feels more like a dining hall than a brewery. The outside deck is large and has great views of the lake. The brewery is on the second floor and there are stairs and an elevator to access it. Banquet hall on the top floor that was hosting a wedding reception. The first floor will be a yacht club?? Devin (sp) made some great local recommendations including the air show that is going on this weekend. We enjoyed our time here and look forward to seeing the place grow and evolve!!! read more

Disappointing Experience - Would Not Recommend We had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, the evening turned out to be a letdown. When we arrived, we were told there would be a 30-minute wait for a table--no problem. We grabbed drinks at the bar and were pleasantly surprised to be seated after just 15 minutes. But it quickly became clear why a table had opened up early. Our server, who was friendly and professional, informed us that the kitchen was running 40 minutes behind. It would've been helpful to know that before being seated, but at that point, we decided to stay and ordered our meals and another round of drinks right away. After waiting nearly 50 minutes with no food, we asked for an update. The server returned after checking with the kitchen and explained that our order was still behind 12 others. At that point, we chose to cancel our food, pay for the drinks, and leave. To be clear, our server did the best he could--he was courteous and apologetic throughout. However, no manager ever came by to speak with us, even as multiple tables, including ours, walked out. If a restaurant is unable to keep up with demand, they should at least be upfront about delays before seating guests. Even our server agreed, telling us this has been an ongoing issue since last summer and encouraged us to leave a review--so here it is. We won't be returning. read more

Made it a point to check them out when on a trip with my mom over Labor Day. It was a little tricky to find - they definitely need some better signage. But we figured it out. Got seated quickly with no issue. Our server was great. The food was fantastic. We got the Spanish chicken corn chowder and it was the highlight of the meal. So delicious. I got the LTA on a gf bun and that was also very good. The chips were especially delicious. Mom got the fried walleye and enjoyed it. Our beers were fine. Nothing amazing, but nothing bad either. Just average. If we go back, we'd try their cocktails or mocktails for sure. Those looked delicious. Big open indoor space and a really nice patio outside. Went here Friday night with my mom when it was too cold and windy out to actually make use of the marina. The place ended up being packed (mostly due to the weather I feel) but non the less we were able to order appetizers and drinks from the bar while we waited in from the chills. The starters especially the kimchi potstickers were delicious and everyone seemed to really enjoy their main entrees. My red rivers ale was delicious and the soup special was so warming, I would definitely love coming back to this place for a nice waterside bite to eat sometime. read more

First visit 4 stars Second trip 1 , average is 2.5 rounded up to 3. Been here twice. First time was pleasant had the Fried Walleye and it was good. Everyone else had Burgers and they enjoyed. Second Trip I ordered the Crab Cake & my wife ordered the Ivory Chicken. I tasted the Ivory chicken and it was not something I would ever order, a bit overcooked and the sauce lacked any flavor. She agreed. My crab cake on top looked perfect, took a bite and it tasted burned. Sure enough the bottom was black ( burned). Took a good amount of time (15 minutes) to get the servers attention and she whisked it away. Waited and waited for the replacement. Server noticed everyone else was finished, this was a good 30 minutes since I made the request, and I was still waiting. She ran into the kitchen and a few minutes later came out with my replacement. This time it was less burned on the bottom but pretty bland, somewhat dry, and missing the tomato butter sauce. Maybe that was supposed to give it some extra flavor?? No accommodation on the bill, which after almost leaving before I got my food, would have been a nice gesture. In hindsight I should have just said cancel it and left when the rest of the party was ready to leave. In future sticking with the Burger or Walleye. Nice spot just avoid those two dishes and I took a look at the ham and cheese and it is a ham steak with cheese , if I had ordered it would have been an unwelcome surprise, but that's a personal preference, my dad would have loved it. We were a party of 15 and reservations are not accepted. I arrived ahead of other guests and told it would be a 20 minute wait. To my surprise it was less than 5 minutes and our tables were ready and our server at my side. I explained to him that this was a surprise 50th BD party, I would take care of the table expenses etc. Our guests arrived plus some unexpected, but very welcomed guests. No worries. They were quickly attended to. I'm pretty sure this restaurant hasn't seen this many bikers or Latinos customers (LOL). The view was breathtaking, the food delicious, beverages yummy and Seattle, A very attentive. It's a shame the CEO has such a low opinion of his paying customers. After reading so many bad reviews I wanted to give this brewery some love. We sat outside on the deck and the views are amazing. We had a very attentive service and we had a party of 7. We went in with low expectations for the food and they exceeded our expectations. The food was good and it was hot. Ivory chicken sandwich was delicious and so were the fries. The portobello mushroom sandwich was also a hit. The only food item that was mediocre was the walleye. It wasn't greasy but it lacked flavor. Sadly, there's several things that miss the mark (but could be fixed!): (1) The views from the restaurant are fantastic, but the drive to the restaurant is through an wearhouse wasteland. They need to hire a landscaper and plant some trees! (2) The chair backs are too low. My party would have stayed longer and ordered desert and drinks but the low metal backs were very uncomfortable; (3) Last, the food was forgettable. The cole slaw was bitter (please add some vinegar and mayo..my 90-year old mother would be happy to give you her recipe). The sausage and cheese board felt like it was from Meijer's. A charcuterie board requires some artistry and this 100% lacked it. Add some Spanish olives, slice the cheese (don't give cubes it's tacky), and make sure you have a soft cheese, a goat, etc. read more

Service was terrible, the dining room is loud and hard to have a conversation. The outside deck is in the middle of the hot sun, no umbrellas so many drawbacks for this over 200 occupancy business. There should be a large stair way off the deck to take more occupants out of the business instead of an elevator taking six at a time!! So many quirks to rethink this business. We've been wanting to visit Muskegon brewing since they opened but left disappointed. Positive :The view is amazing from the outside deck. Despite being open for a month, our Tuesday night visit showed they are far from running smoothly. We agreed to wait 20 minutes to be seated outside rather than immediate seating inside. After our wait, they then tried to seat us inside. They couldn't make 2 of their 6 featured cocktails because they were missing ingredients. Food was brought onto the deck and the server didn't know which table it was supposed to be delivered to. When we ordered our drinks, we were warned that the bar was really backed up. We were patient with our server, Natalie, because she was working hard to please those in her section. We are moving to the area and exploring places to eat. It just so happened that the world famous singer / entertainer Tommy Foster was playing at Muskegon Brewing so off we went. Yup, Tommy was great as expected. But we didn't know what to expect of the food. At a new place I always start with a burger. If they can't make a good burger, there is no sense in trying anything else. My wife ordered a salad with salmon. I have to say the meal was great. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a burger as much as I did this one. Finally a restaurant that knows how to season the meat and cook it and the bacon properly. The fries that came with it were as good as the burger. While I'm not a salad person, my wife's salad looked great - looked fresh. She said the salmon was cooked perfectly. The Blonde beer I had was good - I'll have another next time we go there. They have a menu I want to explore more so we will be back. read more
