This was our second stop on a fun day in Muskegon on a Saturday afternoon. We were there after lunchtime, but far too early for dinner. It was pretty empty, but felt like a place that would be really fun when it's busier! You order drinks at at counter toward the back. We picked a high top table towards the back as well. Our table looked over a rail into a basement level, that reminded me of clubs back in college. It's a really cool old building. They have a pretty limited tap list for a brewery. I can't remember which beer I had, but I remember it being fine, not excellent. We didn't get food, so I can't comment on that. Since I really liked the space I would go back again if I was in the area, but I don't think it would draw me from out of town.

I just LOVE this brewery. This is my second time through and I already can't wait to come back. I love the layout and the overall vibe. My friend shares stories about his experience here pre-covid with all of the great bands. It sounds amazing! We decided to split a flight of beers, they have fantastic beers, and grab a few tags before heading to our next location. We will most certainly be back to Muskegon and spend a weekend. This is most certainly a destination town.

God, the potential of this place and its location! Muskegon is building a sweet downtown area and its awesome to have a brewery with a live music scene as an anchor. However, we visited as soon as they opened on a Saturday afternoon and it was like we caught them in the middle of some kind of depression or shortage. Five beers unavailable, no replacements; behind on their brewing. So, had to get a limited flight of whatever was left and it was fine, nothing to rave about. Didn't bother with the food, which was a separate entity within the same building, a rock n roll pizza shop. Looked cool though. Service was good, friendly tenders to talk to, and its a HUGE space. Live music stage looke awesome too, wanna come back to see a show. I also like to collect glasses or apparel from breweries I visit; no ah ah here. Coolest glass was for mug members and merch was scant at best. Not a normal size to be found or woven. Too bad, they have a cool logo and it would have been nice to rock a hoodie or tee. Ah well. Good on ya, Muskegon and good luck to Unruly and the rest of the area, hope ya'll make it!

I've been to Unruly a few times in the past for the live music they often host on weekends, but today I had a little time to kill (ie. am procrastinating) so figured I'd stop in for a quick beer. The first thing I realized upon entering at 2pm on a Friday is how spacious it is in here. I guess when a place is dark and full of people it tends to seem smaller. There were a few people sitting at the bar and a couple people shattered through the large tap room. A rebroadcast of yesterday's Tigers game is on TV, there appears to be a free popcorn, and classic punk tunes are playing at a modest volume; these are a few of my favorite things! I'm sipping on the 'Murican Brown Rye and it is quite tasty; rich yet drinkable with enough bitterness to balance it out! I appreciate that I can enjoy Unruly as much for a casual drink on a Friday afternoon as for a show on a Saturday night.

5 stars for the beer! I ate the popular Polynesian pizza but had it by the Slice and it was good but I give it 3 stars because a quality pizza shouldn't be sold by the slice and sitting in a oven that long. Potentially ruins the reputation. I'm sure the pizza is amazing fresh though and I'll definitely go back and try it. The space looked pretty rad with a massive live music stage. I'll be going back for sure.

The 1st beer with the pizza is the drunkle. The 2nd one is the foundry slag

It is a at the bar service. The different types are beer are great. I tried the foundry slag which is an American stout, and the drunkle which is a german amber. Both are really good. The prices are really low. I definitely recommend this place if you are in town for a business meeting like I am.

The food was great, the prices were fair, and the service was impeccable. Unfortunately, I failed to get any of the staff's names.

New menu, but it sucked. Staff were super rude, you can't be unruly at unruly apparently. Steer clear

They have a wide variety of beers and and when we spoke with the server, he told us the philosophy of Pigeon Hill is to brew quality beers with consistent quality. My husband had the Catalina Mexican Lager. He said it was light and fresh for a lager. We paid 90 something dollars for a veggie platter, to have wilted tomatoes, dry carrots and no broccoli. We paid 15 dollars a pizza to have the pizza just to be cold and small. If i recall it was only a 12 inch personal pizza for 15 bucks.. And the chicken in the pot was soggy because they steamed it for an hour before we where able to access it. We noticed a safety hazard and made sure management noted it for when we leave and not shortly after that they jacked up the music very very loud intending to kick us out. Overall we where really disappointed and would not recommend this place for a get together.

The service was great and the food and coffee drinks came out quick. For drinks I had a banana bread latte and he ordered a mocha with an extra shot. Both were delicious! We ordered 3 different entrees to share - I might not have the names right, so please bear with me if you try to find them on the menu and you can't find the exact same thing. Started off strong with the breakfast burrito. It was so good! I don't know if it had a cheese sauce or just melted American cheese, but it was a good balance of cheese, hash browns, eggs and sausage. The munchwrap was awesome with chorizo sausage, hash browns, a tostada for crunch and cheese all grilled up in a flour tortilla. Last and our least liked was the Cheddar Bay Biscuit bowl. I like the concept, but the execution was poor. The biscuit had been microwaved damn near to death. It was hard to cut through with a knife. The consistency was somehow soggy and hard while also chewy. Add to that the saltiest sausage gravy ever. We each ate one bite, said no thank you and tossed it. Everything else was so good, this might just be a bad one off, but I don't think I could be convinced to try it again. I don't think food is served all day, so if you are hungry, get there before 2pm (I think).

I asked the bartender (I wish I would have got his name) if they had any options for me given those 3 things, and he came up with a DELICIOUS sugar free iced coffee option that was so good that one of the friends who had been drinking all night decided she wanted one to go along with her beer. It's sometimes hard as the DD to find a place with any variety and I was so happy to have a place make me a priority too. After all, your DDs are getting those drinkers safely to and from your establishment to bring in those big bucks - so you should give them a little thank you by treating them nicely as well. Thanks Rake Beer Project, for going above and beyond.
