It's a warm welcoming country ambiance with a beautiful interior sitting area or an inviting outdoor atmosphere one can't resist. As soon as you walk through the door, you will be welcomed from the owner or staff behind the counter. The Chocolate Cherry Cider was absolutely epic and my best friend and I were honored to have the last glasses of it today! I truly hope they bring it back! It was absolutely spectacular to the palate. It was refreshing, makes your tastebuds dance & the perfect choice for a hot summer day or evening! I tried the Spicy Rosè & I am apparently one who really likes some added heat! Wil added a couple more jalapeños & it was delicious! I wanted to try a little more flavor and added a bit of the Bourbon Barrel to my Rose! ... It was phenomenal! If you're adventurous as much as I am, you'll have to try this pairing! It's a quaint little winery and a nice retreat to be with friends and meet new people! A solid place to go with a variety of different ciders and wines! Always a great place to visit! read more

Fox & Hen Winery is decent, but not impressive. Got the vibe this is more for the locals than the vacationers, which makes sense, but because of that the service seemed a bit like we should already know how it works when it comes to seating and ordering, which we didn't. All the wines we tried were decent/fairly solid, but nothing memorable enough to purchase several. We racked our brains and purchased the Farm Party, which surprised me since I love Riesling and Rosé, theirs is ok at best. The strawberry and blackberry ciders were subtle and natural tasting. After buying a couple cans of them, the ingredient label disappointed me. Their experimental cider (chocolate cherry) tasted like neither of those flavors, gave it to my husband to finish, as it was the only beverage I found bordering on unpalatable. Charcuterie was overpriced. While I enjoyed the low key atmosphere, and they are kinda the only winery in the area, I would probably not return to Fox & Hen. read more

As a new resident to the Grand Rapids area, visiting this winery was at the top of my list! A little drive in from the main road, you come across this beautiful building tucked back within the vineyards. For a newer winery they had a good selection of reds and whites. I enjoyed a tasting of white and red wines, all of which I liked except one. They had a cute selection of charcuterie which made the tasting even more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and the owner made a personal effort to come and introduce himself which was awesome! The overall atmosphere of the tasting room was cute and cozy with additional seating outdoors. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy another glass of wine! read more

Every time I visit Fox and Hen Winery, I'm welcomed with genuine smiles and such a great atmosphere. The space is modern, laid-back, and feels truly authentic. Their wines and ciders are completely one of a kind--there's always something unique to try, and everything I've had has been amazing. What really sets this place apart, though, is the owners. Such a cute spot - Fox & Hen Winery is tucked right by the vineyard with the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor seating. The setting is a whole vibe (hello, sunset wine selfies), and the staff couldn't be kinder. Bonus for having gluten-free food options on the menu too! They offer a nice mix of white, red, rosé, surprise blends, and ciders, so there's something for everyone. Full honesty: I'm originally from wine country, so the wine itself wasn't my favorite. It leaned a little too sweet and lacked some balance for my taste - but my friends were into it, so I think it just depends on your palate. Even still, I'd definitely come back to try their cider and soak up the beautiful vibes again. Perfect for a laid-back hang with friends, date night, or just treating yourself. read more

Nice place near Grand Haven. Good selection of wines, great staff in a smaller place makes for a great experience.

Charcuterie boards were tasty and fun. Service was friendly, helpful and very attentive. Loved the open feel. Outsides and inside were like one, comfortable seating with fresh air. read more

Just a local place trying to do their thing. It's only open Friday and Saturday, and they usually have a food truck on those days, but you'll have to check social media for info on those things. The winery is still new and learning, which is to be expected, but I think there's a lot of pretty decent wineries in this part of the state that a lot of people overlook. Add Fox & Hen to the list. The location is sort of in the middle of nowhere, but it's a nice spot with a simple vibe and bar inside. In addition to mostly whites and some reds, they have a rotating cider tap. If you're in the area and looking for some wine, check 'em out. read more

They have great service and very friendly staff. The tasting room is modern and cute with a great patio area. The wine is great, and I can see it getting even better the longer they are at it. This is a true hidden gem that's worth the drive from Grand Rapids. read more
