We've taken two vehicles over the last month to Mustang Muffler, and had really good experiences with both situations. My son's Ford Sport Trac just wouldn't start up suddenly, and after attempting a few quick fixes ourselves, we dropped it off at the shop. Was fixed timely and have had no issues since. Yesterday my jeep had an oil pan crack/leak and they were able to get it repaired the same day. Also found a radiator leak that I'll need to fix soon, and was able to provide me with an estimate so I know what to expect when I bring it in. I went in to replace my exhaust pipe. I was definitely over charged. I went in by myself as a 18 y/o girl. I feel like this is the reason I was overcharged. The sheet says two hours of labor but it was only an hour. And I'm sure the section of pipe they used was not 90 dollars. I understand the second pipe being 90. The guy at the desk was really nice and tried explaining it but it made no sense to me why I was being charged this but I swiped my card. My car sounds way better now and the nice guy made this review 2 stars but the price was outrageous. read more

An exhaust pipe on my husband's truck was rattling so I took it to these guys to have it fixed. They were busy and told me to come back in an hour, so I left and went grocery shopping then came back. They then asked me again to come back later. After telling them that I'd already had to leave and come back once, they agreed to put the truck on the lift and look at it. After about ten minutes they came back and told me that a different area than I had originally thought was loose and that it would be $60 to fix it. I figured it would take at least half an hour so I agreed to it. It took less than five minutes and all they did was a single weld where the pipes come together. I called and told my husband what the price was and was then informed that I was way overcharged. These guys took advantage of me because I'm a young woman. I went back in and talked to the owner and calmly told him that I believed I had been charged too much and his response was to get mad and yell to his employees that he "wasn't aware that other people set my prices!" and then told me it was too bad and that's what they charge, and then he walked off. One of his employees then came out of the shop and told me that if I could get a quote from someone else for cheaper, they would match the price. I called around and immediately found a shop in the metro that said he'd do it for $25 and he emailed me a quote. I printed it out and took it back up to Mustang Muffler and the owner shoved it back at me and scoffed saying it wasn't a real quote because the guy gave me the price without seeing the truck. He then also proceeded to accuse me of finding the quote online and just printing it out even though it was dated and had my name on it. It also had the name, address, and phone number of the other shop so that he could call and confirm the price with them. He then tried telling me that he has never matched prices and there's no way that anyone in his shop would have told me that. He told me I was not getting my money back because I had already agreed to the price and that I was getting a deal because they "charge a $20 lift fee and $85/hr" as a base rate. I have talked to several of my male friends that have gone here for exhaust work and they are all shocked at what I was charged. No man has had this issue with them, but if you're a woman I guarantee they'll do the same crap to you. And to the owner: You're right, no one else does set your prices. However, if you continue to price gouge women just because you think you can get away with it, the free market will take care of it and put you out of business. Lying and cheating customers is not a way to keep or gain business. read more

Great guys! I was on a cross country road trip last week and started having some car troubles. Long story short ended up with some clogged cats, so I stopped by the shop and these guys immediately lifted the car up and got to work on it. They fixed the problem in about 20 minutes and charged me about half what all of the other shops I had called were quoting me. I would recommend this place to anyone!
