The new facility is better in every way, and the owners and staff are the same terrific crew. This is a full-service dog center: daycare, grooming, overnight boarding, hiking excursions, farm outings, etc. So far I've only taken my dog there for daycare and the occasional grooming. She starts yodeling in the car when we're a couple blocks away, drags me in the front door and trots off happily with the staff, without even a glance back at me. At pickup time she's happy, tired and ready to come home - though I think she wishes we lived upstairs so she wouldn't really have to leave all of her pals. When I travel later this year, I'll be able to relax knowing my goofball is in good hands. Highly recommended.

That teacher is no longer there, wish I had known. No mention of what to bring to first class, luckily I had a sense of what to bring. Class was lackluster, nothing you couldn't get from any book. Play time the first class was pretty successful but at the second class things got a little too heated and when I asked for help breaking it up the teacher instead just kept shaming me and belittle what was happening. To be clear, I bring my puppy to the dog park often and know dogs can play rough but when there is BLOOD on your dogs ear, a HUMAN gets BIT it's time to break it up and not go into the origin of the word BITCH. You sign away any chance of putting responsibility on Canine Mastery so I wasn't willing to see how far this was going to go so I picked up my puppy. Teacher immediately tells the class that's the worst thing you can do but what choice did I have if they were not going to help. The next day I reached out to have a discussion and despite not feeling heard I was fine to return to class the following week. Then I got a giddy call from the teacher/ owner that she had called most everyone on the class to get their sense of the situation. How disappointing and disgusting!! They didn't see the look in my puppy's eyes as she was darting for help nor did they see the gash in her ear that took a solid MONTH to fully heal. If you do decide to take a chance I would ask for teaching credentials because I doubt they exist.

Since then, I have taken two puppies through all their puppy classes, and three dogs have regularly attended agility classes. This week, yet another puppy completed Puppy Kindergarten and will commence with future courses in....well, I haven't decided that yet because CM has so much to offer. This place is amazing. I have had classes with the owner, Kathy (Puppy Kindergarten), and several of other instructors including Kathleen (for other puppy classes) and Joy (for trick classes) most recently. Even with my reactive dog, Kathleen was instructive, professional, and patient. Deb is by far the most patient agility instructor I know. She gets to know every dog and every human client so well that I feel like I'm taking private lessons even when I'm not. She knows that I like homework so she's always giving me ideas about things I can do to make improvements even in the dead of winter in the house. I really appreciate the non-judgmental atmosphere there because let's face it, we are not all the best at this stuff. You just can't get a bad instructor at Canine Mastery. An added bonus taking classes at CM is the other clients. They are so supportive and enjoy their classes so much that you get to see the best side of people with whom you take classes. I always feel like I know the other people in my classes even when I really only know their dog's names (shhh, don't tell them I don't know their names). Whenever I have a question about bad weather cancelations, or anything else, I email Joy or Deb and voila! I get an immediate answer. I wish every business were this responsive. Could you imagine cable companies or doctors doing that? You never feel like you're left out in the cold at CM. Let's talk about money. I have taken classes even recently at other facilities just to try them out and every one of them has been more expensive. (Hey CM, don't get any ideas!). Moreover, I felt a little less able to connect with them when necessary, and sometimes their teaching styles have been a bit too competitive for me. That said, most of the agility students in Deb's agility classes are competing with the best of them and making good headway. It's all about what you want to get out of your training for CM, and of course, what's best for your pup. Who knows, maybe my new pup will be into nose work or something else I've never tried before. Regardless, I know exactly where to go to learn something new. Canine Mastery is indeed just that - masters at working with you and your dogs. Not a problem for me but, if you want one in particular, you may want to ask. I've had my Bubba for 7 years and along the way he had what we thought were constipation issues. His old vet just extracted what was in there and nothing more. When I got to LAH I told them I have financial difficulties and they ran EVERYTHING by me before they did it! Even called the house when I had to leave him there one time so we could discuss the next best course of action for Bubba and my wallet. We were able to hold of on blood work and ultrasounds, saving me hundreds for sure. It ended up he has kidney disease and weak muscles- poor boy! These people are all animal lovers- they want to help your baby, not pick your pocket. No unexpected expenses or tests. I will continue going there and have already recommended them to friends. I moved to Lincoln in August of 2021 and still kept my old veterinarian,Dr.Graham,from…read moreGreenville,R.I. because he was the best,but unfortunately retired and the clinic close up there.My pets last visit there was 04/13/2023.I started going to Lincoln Animal Hospital in 2024.I haven't been happy with them.My dog had been diagnosed with dry eye syndrone since 2018.The doctor here put my dog on Tacrolimus in Corn Oil 0.03% Ophth Solution for dry eye.I also had an ointment from my previos vet too for it(Neomycin and Polymyxin).I had been getting the different prescriptions,not just for my dogs eyes but Heartgard and Nexgard from their online pharmacy.Anyway,who doesn't like to compare and look for a better price(well maybe rich people).I found the dry eye medicines on Chewy.com for way less money.The both of the eye medicines put together that he needed were even cheaper than just one of theirs in their pharmacy.I ordered them from Chewy and I had to get the prescription from them to send to Chewy. I sent them them the screenshots of what I ordered and also talked directly to them.They called me and said I could pick them up.I drove there only to find out they were both not the right ones for what i ordered.One was suppose to be an ointment and it said solution but the person at the desk fixed that instantly and the other one was a little different than the last one they prescribed me but was still for the exact same thing for (dry eye).It was Cyclosporin in corn oil solution.Well she walked out to her hour lunch and I was told there was no guarantee she would even get to fixing it today.They did call me hours later to say that he would need another eye exam as the prescription wasn't the one that she had prescribed.I said look it up.The one I ordered from Chewy was for the exact same issue(dry eyes).She continued with the oh he has to be seen first.I said that is ridiculous,this is just a money grab.We already know he has dry eyes and you want me to come in to charge me for what we already know.As I spoke,I know I raised my voice a little,because it's upsetting that because I didn't want to use their online pharmacy to pay more,that they figured ok we'll make her bring him again to be checked and get our money,one way or another.Anyway whoever I was speaking with said, you're mean...and hung up on me.Well that didn't go well with me.I called them back and told whoever that I did not appreciate being told I'm mean and being hung up on so I will be going to a different Veterinarian and hung up on them.That is only one of the issues I have had with them making that one their final straw.They were trying to put on a muzzle on my JRT that was way too small just yesterday for his visit, that I also have to medicate the poor 16 year old dog for because they cannot handle him.My honey said,don't you have a bigger size,and low and behold,they opened a drawer full of them,and got the size that actually would fit him.They could not get it on and my honey had to put it on him.Also we request to go in for these visits when he has to get these Cytopoint shots because I swear one time I didn't go in that they never gave it to him.She took him from me and I didn't even get done paying and she brought him out.I said wow, that was fast and he didn't even yelp or anything and she said yeah he was a very good boy.He is never a good boy for them shots and he also itched like he never got it the whole month, so you tell me.My honey said I wouldn't be able to prove it, as I wasn't in the room with him so I never said anything.Another thing is I believe the dosage they prescribed for my 16 year old JRT of Gabapentin and Trazodone 50mg almost did him in.I cut the dose in half when I took him to have his nails cut at the groomer,which he also hates his nail being cut,and he did fine there.I just don't think this place truly cares about our pets,only getting their money...so beware!!
