Musée Picasso is an art museum devoted to the works of Pablo Picasso. It is located in Antibes in…read morethe beautiful Chateau Grimaldi, which has a great seaside location. Not just housing Picasso's works, it also was his home for six months in 1946. I liked my experience at this museum, though I would attribute it more to its idyllic location than the art content. I did like many of the Picasso sculptures housed here, but found the overall collection on the slight side if you are looking to see a large number of Picasso pieces here. This was evident as the museum supplemented the space with pieces from other artists. I do think it is worth a visit if you are doing a day trip to Antibes. There is a public market (Marche Provencal) nearby that would make for a good place to visit before or after the museum.

Being so appalled she bought the grounds and the rest is history. Those same trees still stand today and they are magnificent There were also lots of orange trees, a lovely garden, original Renoir paintings within the house, family photos, and a nice film featuring Jean Renoir talking about growing up on the estate, and a few with Renoir himself painting in his wheelchair and surrounded by friends. We took a guided tour through the factory and ended at the boutique on location. Unfortunately, it was the weekend so there were no workers in the factory. Despite this, it was such an amazing experience! We learned so much and it was amazing to see the tools used to create perfumes. I came home with five new French fragrances! I highly recommend stopping in to this beautiful, iconic piece of french history in Grasse, the perfume capitol of the world!

In the past I have been asaulted by gross amounts of obnoxious perfumes walking through department stores or getting a kiss from Grandma who overdid it. Grasse is the capital of the perfume. This store is one of the oldest in France. Galimard has been a landmark or history of the perfume store in Grasse. You can make appointment to make your own perfume and smell the way you like. The appointment to make your own perfume will last two hours of process. You need to make this appointment one month early to secure your spot in their lab. They also has factory nearby that you can take a tour. The tour includes tour to their lab, ancient equipment, show room, and more. It was great to smell the fragrance during the tour. We did got a few bottles back home. There are three different types. The most pure it the oil base.

Like another review mentioned, the…read moreticket price (€6.50 as of January 2024) is well worth it to climb atop the tower for an amazing 360 panoramic view of Cannes, the city, port, ocean and Alps in the North. Since Cannes is much more devoid of tourists during off-peak season, and also not particularly known for its museums, it was lovely to enjoy the tower and most of the museum by myself on a brisk sunny weekday morning. Most of the exhibits center around ethnographic findings from French explorers in the 19th century, including articles and artifacts from Oceania, Africa, and the Mediterranean. Currently another exhibition towards the back few rooms showcases paintings following Nice through its development from fishing town to bustling port city. Note the tower requires climbing up a rather steep set of stairs to a small (maybe 8x8 foot area) on top which aside from the wall of the tower doesn't have any other railing or enclosure. So not recommended for little children unless they're strapped to you. Aside from stairs there's no other access so a) if you have a mobile disability it will not be accessible, b) the staircase is quite narrow inside and because the steps are wooden planks, you can see between each step, which may make it challenging for those with a fear of heights. Separately since part of the stairs run outside the tower, and the top of the tower is not covered, if there is inclement weather access to the top may be restricted.
