    Elote Detroit style pizza

I didn't get anything to drink here, but I did get the deep dish pizza that was more of a Mexican style. I would say that this is probably the best deep dish pizza that I've tried in a while and I used to live in the Midwest. The crust was super crunchy and very buttery, which is great. You could definitely taste a jar of the cheese on the side and the crispiness of the bottom of the crust not only that, but I felt like the toppings were just amount of flavor. There was onions on there. There was corn on there. It just felt very very hearty. it's definitely heavy dish but it hits a spot if you're looking for a deep dish pizza they did it very well. I would definitely come back for this steep dish pizza and honestly, I could only get through two slices on my own definitely enough for two people to eat comfortably and not that expensive too was 13 bucks

A few friends and I were looking for somewhere new to try dinner and we stumbled upon this place. Have lots of cool beers you could try & fun food items on the menu! I got the mexican street corn pizza and it was delicious! I love street corn and pizza so I figured I'd give it a try. Our bartender was great, recommending drinks for us. Great first experience here, excited to try again.

Ate there today for the first time. Its a craft brewery, spacious with a stage for live music on weekends. Really lo g bar with a bunch of high tables with stools. We weren't looking to drink, so i can only review the food. The staff was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. We had the pickle fries for a starter - they were hot, crispy with a tasty and mildly spicy aioli. Then a double smashburger with cheese on a potato roll with a delicious bacon jam, which was great. Also had the Hangover smash, which was also a double patty with cheese, bacon and a fried egg. Egg was nicely cooked with a soft yolk, not dry at all. Another good burger. But the standout was the Turkey Burnt Ends BLTA sandwich. This was a BLT with avocado, and tender, smoked, charred turkey chunks. I haven't had anything like it before, which i appreciated because im always looking for something different. The BLTA also had a spicy aioli on it. My only criticism was the hard roll it was on. It would be better with a softer brioche. But that's minor, it was a great sandwich. All our dishes came with bbq chips. Nice portions. With a shared app and non-alcohol drinks, it came to less than 20 per person total. Will come again

We live finding new breweries and this one's a keeper! The owners are very nice and friendly. The decor is great with all sorts of bright pictures. I had the brisket flat bread and hubby had the burnt ends tacos. We enjoyed them both. The garage is next door so when parking isn't available on the street it is very convenient. We can be fussy with seats as my husband can't sit on barstools comfortably. We sat in the only small table in the front. Beers were great! Thanks!!

Easy parking in the deck two doors down; we were greeted by a bright open brewery with fun artwork. We grabbed a table and ordered at the bar. I had the banana bread beer which was served with a little chunk of banana bread! Also had the pumpkin beer which gets the cinnamon sugar rim treatment. There were so many thinks on the menu I wanted to try, but I went with the turkey burnt end BLT. A couple people ordered wings and they looked good. My mom ordered a lobster roll which had plenty of meat on it for the price. Would definitely go again if we're in the area!

When I first started going here the place was incredible. Taco night was A+. The tacos used to come out on a wooden plank or black plates. They were large, fresh, and delicious. My favorite was the steak. It was always properly staffed and service was impeccable. We started to make taco Tuesday at mutant a regular thing. Sadly things seemed to decline week after week. The tacos started to get smaller and they started serving them on paper containers you see at carnivals. They discontinued the steak tacos too. The last time we went might have been our last time. For some reason they only had 1 server on duty running the bar and tables. 1 server for about 50 people! The poor guy still did a great job and somehow kept his cool. Though we had to help him by getting our own waters and paying at the bar. They advertised a new "steak brisket" taco that I wanted to try but was informed that it wasn't finished! It was 7:00PM and the brisket wasn't done? I got chicken instead. The tacos came out again on cheap paper and were not the same tacos we remembered from the earlier visits. The worst part was I bit into 2 weird tooth pick-like stems of something? Wish the chef caught those before they ended up in my taco but hey at least it wasn't an actual toothpick. The consistent high quality of the beer and the cool atmosphere is the only reason I'm still giving this place 3 stars. If I could give 2.5 I would. Let's hope management steps in and puts the place back on track before it's too late.

Great bar/brewery with nice selection of brews. Good menu with good food. The pretzel sticks were great as was the Detroit style pepperoni and hot honey pizza. Place was busy so service was a little slow, but super friendly and apologetic for the delays. Great overall vibe inside. Outside seating was closed due to the rain.

We waited at the front a couple of minutes which was okay considering they seemed busy, but then some party entered and were attended to right away. We basically just followed that party because I overheard the there wwer only tables in the outdoor patio. We were able to establish contact with wait staff out there and so it began. Staff was friendly but service was slow. We were waited on by about 4 different persons, which was a little confusing, but if that what it takes to get served, then fine. Again, I am guessing they were understaffed. We ordered some BBQ ribs which were quite good but the half rack was small IMO. They have nothing on Kansas City, but it was still pretty good. They appear to BBQ their meats on the premises. Ambiance was okay, fine for BBQ and beer. If I lived in Scranton, maybe this place would be on the list of options, IDK.

Don't come here on Wing Night Wednesday…read more. We made the mistake of coming here on wing night. We got our appetizer, chips and dip. Chips were homemade and burnt... 3/10. Dip was fine, probably out of a packet. Little did we know those burnt chips would be the only thing we would be eating for an hour with little to no refills. Seemed to be forgotten about with us being inside and I guess everyone else in the back. After an hour, our food came out. I got the brisket tacos, they were good. 8/10. My table got a chicken cheesesteak and ask for no mushrooms and ofc it came out with mushrooms... We had to get the wings, the wings were good! An hour wait good? No. 7/10. It took a weird amount of time for our last entree to come out and it was just like chicken tenders on a bun, no love. Oh and the pulled pork sandwich was more like slop. Our waitress's excuse was that they had a new chef. Sooooo I guess they decided to start training this chef during service. Food - 8/10 Service - 5/10 Atmosphere - 7/10 Overall - 6/10

We got the Korean dumplings which were very good with Asian zing sauce on them. We also got their nachos which were soggy towards the bottom but had good flavor with bbq sauce and pulled pork. Now they don't offer pulled pork sandwiches but have pull pork on the nachos. My fish and chips were soooooo salty! The tartar sauce was good and French fries. The breading was also soggy but the fish was very tender and nice. The chicken cheesesteaks were good, filling and yummy. The Ale Burger is a double smash burger with good flavor, and a good meal. The Buffalo Mac and cheese was spicy but enjoyable. The service wasssss slow and not very attentive. The manager had to come over and ask if we needed anything bc our server seemed to disappear. I believe it's new owners which explains the menus cut in half, but I hope they get things together bc this spot is super cool. Speak easy, cool hangout spot.

Really enjoyed a lunch with my family at Ale Mary's after spending a few hours at Steamtown…read more I found parking right up front on the street (lucky, plus the meters were off for the weekend according to staff). The service was slow, but once we were greeted our drinks and food came out quickly. The inside is spacious, it's in an old building dating back to the mid to late 1800's. The high ceilings and metal work inside gives an old industrial feel. The menu had a lot of tasty choices and the beer menu was fantastic. The list of the handhelds/sandwiches is too long to list, but I could have ordered any of them. They have over 100 small and large craft/international beers in bottles or cans and around 20 taps. I had a couple cans of delicious Russian River/WeldWerks collab Convivial which is a hazy imperial IPA. My wife really enjoyed their Buffalo Chicken Flatbread 13.95 - popcorn chicken, house wing sauce, cooper cheese, blue cheese, scallions. It was more than a serving, sizable and fresh. The flavors were balanced and outstanding. I had the Bison Cheesesteak 16.95 - Chipotle bison, pepperjack, bacon chutney, mushrooms, chipotle aioli, toasted hoagie roll. The flavors were balanced, roll was fresh, the serving was large and it was pretty darn good. The meat had a hot dog/pork pate taste. My 5 year old son ordered grilled chicken street tacos 13.95 - Pico de gallo, jalapeno sour cream, queso. Choice of grilled chicken or beef. It came with three and he ate half. We all had a bite and agreed they were fresh, easy to handle and had a delicious mix of flavors, especially the chicken and cheese. My other son had the House Grilled Cheese 9.95 - Boursin, pepperjack, & cooper cheeses on grilled brioche. He enjoyed it, but said it was a little spicy. Although they lacked a "kids menu" my guys found something they enjoyed. The inside was family friendly and they were treated well by the staff. We thought Ale Mary's was a great gastropub and will absolutely repeat when we are back in Scranton. Thanks guys!
