If you're on the fence about visiting this small business, just go. Unlike some small businesses, Mutt Mart offers reasonable prices, if not better than the big stores. We were there today because we adopted a dog from MAS Rescue and MM allows them to use their store as a meet and greet location. The owner was extremely nice!! We were able to get a dog tag printed on the spot before we left, along with some other goodies. There is also an upstairs sales floor. Parking is available behind the store if you turn on Hampnett Ave. You can either enter the store through the back or walk around the block to the front entrance (we did this due to the rain and mud). OK....this place is small! However what it lacks in size, it makes up for in customer service, and obvious support of the local rescues. This is a local neighborhood store, where the staff know a lot of the customers by first name. When was the last time THAT happened when you bought dog food. The local vibe is whata makes this place special. There is a patio area out back, and a porch out front.....just in case you want to relax a bit. Welll worth the trip!! Taking an old house and renovating it into a charming pet boutique, Mutt Mart hosts adoption days for puppies and kittens almost every weekend to support local rescue shelters. [Note: they do not / do not / do not sell animals] In addition to charity raffles, training discussions, and hosting First Friday events, they feature trade-ins on gently used goods, and accept donations if you've got gear you'd like to go to help out a fellow pet lover. The food / treat / toy / gear selection for your canine and feline companion is all quality, healthy, and well-chosen. They staff is very friendly and accommodating. Mutt Mart is a local gem. My husband and I were introduced to Mutt Mart through a neighbor. We went to one of their Friday adoption events, which was a great time: live music, lite fare, foster animals up for adoption and great company. Then, during the holidays, they opened up a pop-up shop, selling wares from local vendors on the top floor. Most recently, the COVID-19 pandemic has developed and we have all been ordered to stay at home. My neighbor mentioned Mutt Mart had started delivering to maintain service to their customers. I called to see if they could put together a gift for a neighbor, who had just adopted a foster puppy. I spoke with Betsy, and she was wonderful. I told her vaguely what I was looking for and how much I was looking to spend, and before I knew it, it was delivered the same day. She made great selections and it felt so good to support a local, small business that gives so much back to our local community and animals in need. I have been set up with a large pet company to receive automatic deliveries, but after this experience, I am making the switch and will be getting automatic deliveries through Mutt Mart instead. Love this place! Krista, the owner, carries a big selection of gently used and brand new supplies along with the best foods and treats. I've been in a few times and have always had a great experience. She helped me find the perfect harness for my recently-adopted 3-lb dog. It's been a challenge to find the right fit, but Krista found the perfect one. We also left with a nice collar and leash to match, all under 15 bucks. I go out of my way to buy ALL of my dog supplies here. Mutt Mart has the LOWEST prices for food, treats, toys, clothing, supplies, everything. We buy Verus dog food and Mutt Mart prices competitively (and wins). They have an ever growing variety of products and have ordered items that I specifically wanted- all you have to do is ask. They offer great trade-in credit for buying your used items. Mutt Mart also does a LOT for the local non-profits. They seem to always be hosting events and donating proceeds to rescue animals. From live music and nail clippings to coffee and donuts- they're more than just a store. Plus, you can stop by on weekends to get your cuddle time in with dogs and cats- last time we did that we adopted one :) Clearly I love Mutt Mart. You should too. read more

Best pet store in Baltimore! Everything you need, amazingly nice, knowledgeable owner/staff, and is constantly giving back in the community. They don't have the pretentious feel of some of the other pet store around town, and they have great prices. They also have a rewards program that actually feels like it pays off quickly. I'm a huge fan of this place! When I couldn't find a leash to match the harness I purchased, they ordered one for me and texted me when it arrived. It's also wonderful to know they give back and are active with various rescues. In addition to being pet-friendly, they always have adorable and adoptable puppies and or kittens to show off. Great little store! It's pretty small but they have all of the essentials. The owner is extremely knowledgeable about pet food and they carry some great brands. Mind you, this stuff isn't going to be as cheap as Purina, but it's all high quality food and competitive with the prices online. They also have some great promos where you can save 10% as a foster dog/cat parent, and get a free small bag of food when you adopt a new dog. They do have parking - it's a small driveway and easy to miss, so just pay attention! read more

A fantastic independently owned pet store in the heart of Hamilton. I went in for one thing and ended up leaving with much more. A great selection of dog/cat food, treats, toys, beds, collars and leashes in a somewhat small store. Great quality of food and treats, lots of organic and grain free options. Plenty of toy options for cats and dogs. I even found a much needed topical cream for my dogs skin issues. Everything that I purchased was fairly priced and was much less expensive than a major chain store. I will be doing all of my pet supply shopping here. read more
