Phew where do I start. This was my dogs first tome at this groomers. I eas excited because it was right down the street but.... See pictures below. My fur baby comes home and her eye is swollen and the white part of her eye was maroon NOT red but Maroon. I called them the next day because they had closed by the time I saw it and asked for the owner to call me and she never did. Her daughter texted me what they think happened to Roux Roux'd eye and basically said that she was so rambunctious that she "MUST" have busted a blood vessel in her eye, but just one eye and not both? Please dont take your baby to this place. I will never go back. I hope this will save someone else from going through this.....Bad business totally!!!! I had always taken my old chihuahua there for nail trims, nice girls so when I got a puppy I thought I'd take her in for her first groom there since she had such long hair my expectations were high. I even showed the girls a picture of a Shih tzu but when I picked her up she weighs 5 lbs and was 3 mos old. She had been shaved down to 1/2" all over!!! Add salt to the wound it wasn't the same length and you could see row lines where they shaved her! This pic is 2 weeks later. AND they charged me $65 for it!!!!! On 4/24/23, my daughter took our dog to her 11:15 appointment and got there by 11:10. At around 3:00, when we had not heard from them about her being ready, we called to find out her status and were told that she was not yet ready. We had set her up for a doctor's appointment at 4:00pm which was fast approaching, and we were also concerned that our dog would be stressed given the fact that she had not eaten in all this time. At about 4:30, I called to find out what was going on and spoke with Kaylee who explained that because they had had several big dogs who were not cooperative, it caused our dog to be delayed. I said that I wanted to speak to a manager, but I was told that there was not one available, but that she was sending my request to a manager for a callback. After about 20 minutes, I called back and spoke with someone else who would not give me her name and I asked about the status of my dog, and I was told that she was about to be cut. At that point I was very upset and I again asked about a manager and I was told that one was not available, and when I brought up the fact that my dog had missed her doctor's appointment that was scheduled for 4:00pm, she stated that I should not have scheduled for her to have an appointment so close to the time for her haircut. Whaaaaat?!?!? She said that I should have allowed three hours for them to do what they had to do. Mind you, I had my dog brought in for an 11:15 appointment and it was by then almost 5:00pm. So how many hours does it take to cut a dog? If she had bothered to even LOOSLEY do the Math, she would have easily found out that by the time 3:15pm hit, that was 4 hours then!!! She was very rude. She would not give me her name, and she told me that they would not be losing anything by losing one customer because of how busy they were!!! What employee takes it upon themselves to speak on behalf of the company in this manner??? Now I have, weeks later, still not gotten a call back from the manager. The employee who would not give me her name said she was the Employee of the Month, believe it or not! Be careful about taking your pet to a place that would handle your time, your pet, and your money so carelessly. I will NEVER do business with them again and I promise to advise as many others as possible to find a much better grooming service to support! read more

I would've liked to have given them all stars, but our first experience with them is our last experience with them. So disappointing my appointment was at 12:30. We couldn't pick up our dog until four. That's a little bit too long for my dog to be there he's not a poodle, but he looks like one, and I asked him not to cut them like one. His face wasn't even cut short enough, and they gave him a pom-pom on his tail which I told them cut the tail short they were very nice people I have to say just upset that they kept my dog too long. read more

Another long overdue review. I've been using Muttz Kuttz for probably 7 or 8 years now. They've been grooming all three of my dogs and always do a great job. I recently took my elderly dog in who's not doing so great. They kept him on the back with the other dogs, in the A/C, provided him with water, and took him outside to use the restroom. They kept an extra eye on him as well. There are many groomers out there and I'm not sure how they compare, but I'd never chose another over Muttz Kuttz due to their pricing, convenience, and the way they treat my dogs. I have been taking my big dogs here for years. They always do an outstanding job on my dogs. The owner is one of the nicer people in town.

I dont know what happened with muttz kuttz today, usually have had a good experience. Today however my husky came home and I had to comb him out myself to get the rest of his undercoat out. I even paid extra money for him to go first this morning. I know huskies can be difficult, but when you pay all that money my dog shouldn't come home and this is what I get off him. read more

We brought our Welsh Terrier in to be hand stripped because they claim they provide that service and it could not have been worse! They don't have a properly trained hand stripper on staff, our dog looked as if she wasn't finished, and we even provided a photo and details asking for the breed standard look and it was completely botched. They shaved so much of her and not even the correct silhouette. Her beard was gone, they shaved the top of her snout, her tail was fluffy and sanitary areas left untouched, her legs were shaved in, it was all bad. I wanted to cry when my husband brought her home. The charge for hand stripping is much higher than a typical grooming and we were completely ripped off. Will never bring our dog here again. 0/10 - do not recommend! read more

Called to schedule an appointment for my pup who only comes here for grooming. Was told their were no available appointments for this week and hung up on. I was nervous to take my Wooly Coat Siberian Husky anywhere for a small trim since she had never received a sanitary cut before and it's very important that the groomer knows how to handle their special fur, but her floof was starting to get crazy. I called a few places and was delighted at the initial customer service I received. Scheduling was a breeze and the sweet lady that answered the phone was patient and answered all of my questions. My Husky doesn't give her love easily and is very shy. We were immediately welcomed when we walked in and the groomer took the time to let my sweet girl warm up to her. She, again, answered all of my questions and treated a small sanitary trim like it was the most important thing she was doing. We will definitely be back! read more

I was very nervous to take my furry animals here as any pet owner but I was confident because my friend take both of her pets there . I called and was happy to get them both in the same day . I showed them the pictures of what I wanted they were so nice . The lady assured me they would look like the picture . When I walked into the store to pick up my fur babies I said out loud OMG this is ugly . (Last 2 picture) .I asked who groomed them and the lady that rang me up said she did I asked her did they not show you the picture that I asked for (second picture below) she replied they didn't have enough hair which was but true cause the boys hair could be braided it was so long which is why I brought them. (See first picture ) I asked her how much the total was and she told me 99.91 . Are you serious for 2 Baby 6 month old Yorkies a full groom service total is 99.91? They did not go over the prices with me when I brought them and was completely shocked. When they all seen how I reacted to how my dogs looked no one apologized for cutting them wrong . No one offered a coupon or anything . I am tremendously upset about how my animals look. I just honestly feel that if they could not get the look right wether it was due to skill or could not because they felt their hair wasn't long enough I should have gotten a courtesy call and was given a choice to proceed or come pick them up instead of charging me 100 dollars for what they felt was esthetically pleasing for them . I do NOT and WILL NOT recommend this company to any of my friends . As I stated earlier my friends being their animal here and when I called them to show them what they looked like they was appalled . . Horrible horrible customer service !!! We have had our dog for 4 years. She was a rescue and 2 years old when we got her. We have taken her other groomers that would not cut her hair because she was so difficult. She was abused before we got her so she doesn't like new people or places like the vet. We think it reminds her of a shelter where she was returned 3 times before we got her. I bought her to Muttz Kuttz as a last hope to get her professionally groomed instead of us unsuccessfully using scissors. When I picked her up I was in tears because I haven't seen my dog's face so clean cut since we got her because her hair had gotten so long. I highly recommend mutz Kutz to anyone. I didn't know where to take my dog so I just tried them out because they are so close to where I live and I'm glad I did. They are not all that expensive and my dog gets so excited when he knows we going in the direction of them. They remember his name and they take very good care of him. I hate the humongous tip jars sitting on the counter... My dog received a pretty good looking haircut, but when I took off her collar at home the hair on the bottom of her neck hadn't been cut. I didn't feel like bringing her back there, the groomers should've gotten it right the first time. I will keep searching Clarksville for a great groomer. read more

This is a decent groomer with a great location and average price for the area. It is the best salon that is close to post and the groomers seem to want to please the customer and do whats best for the dog. My dogs always come home smelling great and are happy to go there. Never take your pets here! I took in both of my rough coated collies to be groomed. My male only needed his back end and stomach shaved (he was matted) and they shaved his entire body, including his head! I only asked that they blend my female's fur and they shaved her as well! Have you ever seen a shaved collie, it's not a pretty site? It's taken me over 12 hours to calm down and actually be coherent. Both dogs are SERVICE animals and were due to visit elementary schools on Ft. Campbell this month. My female can still possibly go, but not my male. He is geriatric and has a large fatty tumor right behind one leg, I can't have it removed because the anesthesia would kill him. I can't take him into an elementary school with something like that exposed! Thanks Muttz Kuttz! I do hope my dog lives long enough for his hair to grow back and for him to be the pretty boy he once was.
