Yelp comes through yet again. I was searching for a Japanese bento box for dinner. Doing a search on Yelp brought me to the entry for MUU BBQ Bento. After reading the reviews, I ordred online for pick up later in the day. To find the somewhat hidden gem, as you go up Lake Mead from Buffalo, turn into the driveway immediately after Cafe Rio. This brings you to their parking lot. The entrance is in a walkway between the buildings on the opposite side of the entrance. There is a large sign at the entrance. It's a small place where you can eat in. When they first styarted it was all take out but now you can enjoy your bento box there in their small dining area. The pleasant woman got my bento, put it in a shopping bag along with chopsticks, a wrapped moist towelette, a regular napkin, and a plastic fork. Everything you need. I drove home and opened my dinner. Because this is a distance from where I live, the pork belly slices were only lukewarm warm but it didn't detract from their good flavor. The meat ss put on a bed of rice. On the side of the box are some goodies you get with a bento box. There was a small amount of macaroni salad, some greens, and kimchi. Make sure to pick up a pastry for dessert. The dorayaki was a perfect ending to this meal. The box was a perfect size and everything was very tasty. I wish there was a bit more macaroni salad and kimchi. It was such a pleasure to have a bento much like those I used to get in Little Tokyo when I was in LA. Now that I know whwerme the place is, I will go back. Depending on my whim for the day will determine whether I bring it home or eat it there. I am so glad I found this spot. read more

this place is literally a hidden gem!! How did i not know about this before?? I ordered it online and had it delivered via uber eats. At first I thought to myself, how good can this actually be? it seems like just a regular fast food like bento place. I was so wrong. The meat quality can be compared to restaurant quality. The way they packaged the meal also was aesthetically pleasing. The beef tongue was so good, firm and chewy but not overly chewy. The skirt steak was sooo tender. The bento came with two difference sauces and they both had a great umami flavor. The sides were good palette cleanser in between bites. Even the rice was cooked perfectly. Hallelujah! They're open! They're right next to my mom and pop cleaners. Went in every week to see how they were coming along. Finally opened. What an excellent restaurant. Run by the nicest couple you could find! The kitchen was absolutely meticulously clean. Fantastic food. Their wagyu meats are the best quality. Equal to ones that I found on the strip. Very reasonably priced. Don't forget to stop by the refrigerated section and check out their desserts from Japan. My only concern is there there and a tucked-in location. This is a hidden gem. Normally for food like this, I have to go to Spring Mountain. We ordered the chicken katsu bento and beef belly bowl. It was perfectly seasoned and fresh. I've wanted to try this place for a while now and decided to order dinner for delivery. The chicken karaage sounded good to me. When my food arrived, I really liked how the food was packaged, very nicely done, even the bag it came in. The bento also came with a wet nap and chopsticks. The chicken was amazing! Lots of flavor and a great crunch. The dish had three sides. The kimchi was just right, the greens were flavored nicely, & I could eat a bowl of the mac salad. This was my first time ever experiencing Japanese A5 Wagyu, and I can definitely see why people are always so hyped about it! The meat was so juicy and tender. I thought people exaggerated about the melt in your mouth feeling that A5 Wagyu gives, but it's real! Loved how the meat was cooked, and their in house miso sauce is the best sauce I've had in a while.. Will definitely be back! I'd love to try the entire menu eventually! * Just remember that this is located in a warehouse, so it does look a little sketchy.. But there are clear markings as to where to enter in order to pick up your food. They do have a sitting area inside so that you can enjoy your food right away, but the parking lot is super small! Just... wow. The food was good; don't get me wrong, but I ordered this Monday night and got food poisoning almost immediately a few hours after eating it. I threw up literally everything. True OMG!! When you know how good authentic Wagyu beef tastes like, you know this place offers one of the best deals in Las Vegas area. Yes, if you pay $100-$200, you get to eat a good Wagyu steak on the Strip. But the same quality for the price this place offers, it's just unbelievable. For our first try, we ordered triple bento (skirt, short rib, and tongue) and "tongue negi mamire (tongue covered with green onion)." It was big enough dinner for two aunties, and the "tongue negi mamire" was superb!!! If you like tongue, this will knock you out. Triple bento was $33.99, Negimamire was $13 (July 2025). Remember, you cannot compare this place to fast food restaurants. You should compare this (if you do) to fine restaurants. If you order the same quality and size food at a fancy restaurant (if they offer wagyu), you'll pay at least $60, at least that is. Thie place is run by a young sweet Japanese couple using a modest rental kitchen in downtown Las Vegas. Takeout/delivery only. This was a great choice for trial because the chef can focus just on the quality with no distraction. But, we really hope (and the wife mentioned it) that they will open a nice little restaurant soon in SouthWest area. Until then, for sure we will keep coming back for more. We recommend calling ahead so you can drive up and pick up right away (curveside pickup) or use doordash. If you've never tasted "true" "authentic" Wagyu beef, then you really must give them a try. great... now i'm addicted and i'm spending all my money here lol. this business offers food you can't find anywhere else. typically this food can only be found at sit down all you can eat japanese bbq restaurants. but high quality japanese bbq TAKE OUT? i promise you that you won't find that anywhere else but here. and i'm not so sure i can accurately tell you all just how delicious the food here is. i ordered 2 days in a row bc i literally couldn't stop thinking about it after the first time i ate it. their gyoza and its sauce? phenomenal. the miso soup? perfect. and the star of the show-- the bento boxes! the wagyu and short rib bento boxes were nothing short of absolutely divine. and the sides compliment the meat so, so well. they're also served with sides homemade sauces, lemon slices, and i even received some coarse sea salt (which absolutely elevated the flavor of the meat x10!) im not gonna lie tho, the pickup location is super off-putting. i was honestly a little scared to pick up my food when i arrived here. but after tasting the food for the first time, truly nothing could ever stop me from coming back here lol. i think i'll be coming here every single weekend for as long as i live in vegas. thank you for this absolute treasure!! read more

Saw this on Uber eats and suggested it to my sister in law. I'm so glad we did! I ordered the Australian wagyu, fam ordered the pork bento, skirt bento, and skirt bowl. Cheese cake and fries. I'm not sure how the total price came out, but whatever it was, it was worth it. When we received the order, it was in cute bento boxes. I love bento boxes:D . It had a very good amount of rice, meat and sides. The Australian wagyu was so delish! My little ones love it, but I almost didn't want to share . The sauces that it came with are so good, too. I'm not sure what they were. My family enjoyed their food as well. We all didn't want to finish it all at once. We wanted to savor every bite. I ate all of mine and totally regretted it when everyone had leftovers . The delivery fee on Uber was cheap, too. Others around my house are charging $5 and up. The only thing I hope they add is that maybe they will allow a substitution for rice and replace it with salad/veggies. Ordered on 2/14/24 on Grubhub and I have to say I am glad to stumble upon this gem! I needed something to eat in the middle of doing my homework and this meal just gave me more energy to complete my tasks. I ordered a short rib bento, the meat to rice ratio is perfect. I liked the simple side dishes they offered such as kimchi, takana, and macaroni salad. The meal come with two sauces, a soy sauce based sauce and a sweet and salty type of sauce. For dessert, I ordered a Brulee Cheesecake, it was fluffy and not too sweet so I was able to finish it in one go. Also I love the packaging of the bento! This is a hidden gem. This is not a brick and mortar facility but will be in the future I'm sure. This husband and wife team rock. Working in a rented kitchen is where all the magic begins. The team works will together preparing some amazing cuisine. I had the opportunity to witness this for myself. One works as the chef prepping and preparing incredible beef and pork dishes. The other puts the masterpieces together with Japanese sticky rice and the particular sides that complement the meats. The presentation and packaging matches the quality of the cuisine and you can see the passion that goes into each entree. All their recipes are authentic and made from scratch to include their sauces and kimchi. The ambience in the kitchen is complemented with the searing meats and aromatic smells of BBQ Bento.
