I'm writing this now because it has taken me six months after this horrible experience with our wedding photographer to even be able to put it into words without getting upset. My husband and I hired Shannon Rose as our wedding photographer back in May. This turned out to be a horrible mistake, or should I say nightmare! Throughout the evening, we had a difficult time trying to locate her to take pictures, contradicting the "no-stress" element when it comes to pictures that a photographer is supposed to provide. After three and a half hours, she told us she was leaving stating she had taken enough photos. However, she charged us for six hours. She, also, promised us family photos at a later date to make up for leaving early which we never got, or even a follow-up from her to plan them. This is where it got ugly. Upon receiving the wedding photos, we were extremely disappointed. When I expressed my feelings on that, she became very angry, belligerent, and argumentative. The only photos of my husband and I, alone, were during our vow exchanges and on the dance floor. More than half our guests are not in any of the photos. To be honest, my twelve year old niece could have done a better job. With all that being said, you usually only spend your money on a photographer when you want to ensure your special occasions are captured correctly. Therefore, I would greatly advise you to get references because these occasions are not something you get to go back in time to relive...that's what the pictures were supposed to be for.

He brought me to a park near Burlington and took pictures where he could meld the background greenery. I sent them to a friend who had already booked her own newborn photo shoot and she said she regretted putting down a deposit with another photographer because she loved Nicole's style! We don't take a lot of photos and are pretty camera-shy, but Nicole was very helpful and gently guided us on what to do and made us feel free to try out different things.
