Having previously trusted My 3 Sons for a seamless move from Richmond to Lexington, we expected a baseline of efficiency and care. What we experienced instead was an exhausting 11-hour ordeal marked by widespread property damage, poor staffing decisions, and a staggering lack of basic human empathy from management. Severe Delays and Inefficient Execution Inexplainable Timeline: A basic cross-town move in Lexington took 11 hours. For context, our previous move with this company covered a significantly greater distance with virtually the same volume of items and took only 5.5 hours. Staffing Mismanagement: Mid-move, two original crew members were pulled. The driver informed us that he had previously warned management not to assign these individuals due to prior performance and damage issues. Despite this warning, management sent them anyway. Unfair Labor Shift: The two workers were replaced by only one person, leaving a two-man crew to tackle the final 5 hours of an increasingly delayed move. Property Damage & The Toll on a Disabled Veteran The mishandling of our belongings resulted in direct physical damage to both our new home and our possessions: A hole knocked into the door of our new home. A cracked Nest thermostat. A television dragged across the surface rather than properly carried or moved with equipment. Physical damage to multiple pieces of furniture. The Physical & Emotional Impact: As a disabled veteran living with severe, chronic back issues, watching workers carelessly handle our belongings forced me into an agonizing position. To prevent them from dropping and destroying more of our furniture, I had no choice but to physically step in and carry heavy items myself. Pushing my body far past its physical limits caused severe pain, aggravated my military-related injuries, and created immense emotional distress. Being forced to perform heavy manual labor for a service I paid for--just to protect my own home--was both physically painful and deeply demoralizing. Unprofessional Management & Callous Response Broken Verbal Commitments: Due to the extreme delays, manager Mitch verbally agreed over the phone to charge us at a one-man crew rate for the entire day. Both crew members present witnessed this conversation, and I hold written text confirmation from both workers confirming the agreement. Callous Disregard for Disability: When I followed up to finalize the bill, Mitch reneged on his promise and repeatedly called both myself and his own employees "liars." When I explained that I am a disabled veteran and that my injuries were severely aggravated because I had to step in and save my furniture from being damaged, his immediate response was to laugh at me before hanging up the phone. Passing the Buck: Attempting to escalate the issue yielded no results. The operations manager refused to handle the matter, directing me back to Mitch--the very manager actively avoiding resolution and hanging up on me. I was promised a call from Mitch by last Friday; nearly a week later, I have heard nothing. Inadequate Compensation: The company ultimately charged us for 9.5 hours of labor with a minor 10% discount. This does not honor the manager's explicit agreement, nor does it begin to address the cost of the property damage or the physical pain caused. Between the physical damage to our home, the complete disregard for customer care, and the shocking laughter in response to a disabled veteran in pain, this was an appalling experience. DO NOT TRUST YOUR FURNITURE WITH "My 3 Sons Moving" Not only might it be damaged from mishandling, but they will NOT make it right. I will have to say that was one of the roughest moves ever. Wildcat did our last move, brought two trucks and not one item was broken or scuffed. They wrapped everything in blankets before even moving it through the house. My 3 Sons guys were speedy but did not take any care to any of our furniture. The lift gate on their trucks is very very ribbed and rough (as it should be anti-skid), yet instead of using dollies they would push everything out to and across it, grinding and ripping away at anything going across it. The bottom left rear leg, and corresponding molding was ripped from our wardrobe, the legs of my cabinet were bent and one ripped off. It was a heavy-duty reinforced steel cabinet. Our 3-month-old couch was man handled vs using team work then slammed down on the power adapters and pushed across the floor of the truck with no blankets. (have video) My cherry TV tray tables were set precariously on the lift and then knocked off to slam into a toy cabinet of my daughters. I am extremely unhappy And the company's contact Mitch Boggs is blowing me off and offering $60 per a damages policy that was never sent to me for review, and I certainly didn't sign. The policy to me would be void anyway as this is not just normal moving damages but GROSS NEGLIGENCE and mishandling. When bottoms start ripping off multiple things you'd think they'd stop and think. I pressed them to use their dollies. I didn't find till later a lamp had Its bottom popped off too. We don't buy the finest of furniture but apples to apples I'd say we are out over $300 to replace the wardrobe, $50-100 for the lamp, the TV trays that were knocked off the truck are scarred and they no long snap into place. One lateral filing cabinet they refused to use a dolly and kept dropping it down onto the concrete. I now have lots of legs of most of the furniture to sand and hopefully match the stain. Power cables to find as items I didn't plan to go were unplugged without me present in the room and some I still haven't matched up yet. And we just got the sectional, and it is scarred and has picks and stitching ripped on it to replace back as it was would be several thousand, as instead of team carrying much of it was man handled in a ripping and dropping fashion. I am currently seeking an attorney that will take this issue forward as it appears they are known for this. I wish I had seen some of these other reviews first. read more

We made an appointment for a move, we were quoted $1125 for 2 movers for 5 hours. The morning of the move 3 guys showed up and later we were told that since there is 3 it was only 3.5 hours. This was the worst moving experience we have had and we have moved a lot and have used these guys before. Anyway they finally get the truck packed and Martin tells us it is going to be $1300 to $1400 now and now all of the sudden they charge extra to take furniture apart and put back together. So we got to the new house and we were told if we wanted the beds put back together they were going to charge more. So needless to say we were in too deep to stop now and they knew it so ended up they put all boxes in the living room because they did not have time to put them in the proper rooms and we were left with torn down beds. If I could do that why would I need them. I used to move myself but I've gotten too old to do that. Thank goodness for one of the guys that actually came back on his own time and put our bed together out of the goodness of his heart. He really should be employed by a company that cares about their customers. I will never ever use this company again even I have to do it all myself (with help of course). Terrible customer service. And the guys damaged 2 pieces of furniture as well but I have never heard anything back from My 3 son's and I even sent pictures. Please think twice before using this company for moving you will pay a bunch of money and do most of the work yourself. I still dont have my grandsons bed put back together. read more

I have three issues with this company. 1. When they came to my house to pack up all my stuff and loaded into their truck to move it into their storage , it took 10 hours, four guys and two trucks. Which is ridiculous because I've moved before and I've never had it Take that long of a period. The guys were more interested in looking at their cell phones. Then when I decided to get my stuff out of storage, it took them one truck, two guys in four hours. So I know I was severely overcharged for the first trip. 2. Their storage facility consist of a large warehouse with no walls. They put your stuff in a pile and put tape on the floor. So it's very easy for things to get misplaced or taken. I have so many missing items that it's unbelievable. I found my dining room table standing alone way over in the corner on the other side of the warehouse. Luckily my boyfriend was walking around looking for things and found it or we would've left without it. A few things were also damaged. 3. They said they would not address the damaged items, but they would open up a ticket for the missing items. I have been calling at least twice a month if not more and I never get a callback from a manager. I started calling them in July 2024 when my items were missing and it is now December 2024 and still no callback. I have waited five months just hoping I would get a call back. So today after my last call five minutes ago ( was told the manage just stepped out.. other calls, Was told no manager on site, different excuse each time) I decided it was time to leave reviews here on yelp, Google, and also Better Business Bureau. read more

Do not under any circumstances use this company. Not only were they higher priced than others in town. As I've started to unpack they broke almost anything made of glass. Picture frames, dishes, antiques, valuables. I have no idea what they did but I've moved criss country three times and never had as much breakage as moving across town. In fact moving cross country I had 1 broken item each time. 3. A move across town I've lost count of what was broken. DO NOT USE THEM unless you want to replace your stuff on your dime. read more

I hired them to move a piano. They asked for pictures, so I told them to do a web search for a Kimball victorian upright piano, and it will show exactly what it looks like and dimensions. They sent three guys who said it was too heavy for them. Their office complained I didn't send pictures but they could have got weight and everything from the website. They sent 4 guys a couple days later and they got the piano, but they wouldn't bring their truck across a bridge that amateur me drove a 26' U-Haul across. They wound up using my trailer, which took a lot more time . I still had to help them pull it up the steps. They estimated the job at 1,200 to 1,400 dollars but in the end they charged me almost 1,700 plus they charged me 425.00 dollars for the previous attempt. In the end I wound up paying 2000 dollars to move a 600 lbs piano 13 miles. Never again will they get my business, and I would not recommend them to anyone unless you have no other choice or money cost doesn't matter! read more
