No- not biting, hitting, any other behaviors you would expect would get your kid kicked out. Most frustrating is that there were never any formal meetings to even discuss the possibility that if these things weren't fixed, we'd be kicked out. We didn't see it coming and had to scramble to find new childcare. The behaviors she exhibited are normal 3-year-old behaviors that might take some kids longer than others to work through. I feel the staff is either stretched too thin or doesn't have the patience or energy needed to work with little learners of all levels. We felt extremely blind-sighted by this decision and heart-broken for our kids who now have to start somewhere else, leave their friends and learn new routines. It was already hard enough leaving our only kids in the hands of someone else, and now I'm facing a ton of anxiety all over again hoping this doesn't happen to us again and our kids won't be given up on as easily as Meadow Wood gave up on them. Before this happened, I did appreciate many things about this daycare. The Brightwheel app is convenient and they update you/post pictures of your kids throughout the day. During summer there were a lot of extra activities like field trips and a magic show. Some of the teachers were really nice to us (we saw some be pretty snippy with the kids at times though). We always knew about injuries via an incident report. Payment was easy. Lots for littles to do and different enrichment activities that matched the seasons. Open at 6:00AM for parents who need to get to work early. However, unless your kids are really good at sitting still, following routines, and don't cause a lot of problems for the staff in general, they might tell you to find somewhere else better suited to your child's needs and that they can't offer the 1:1 that your child needs because they have a lot of kids to watch already.

Cassie and her staff are incredible- not only do they keep you up to date on how your child is adjusting, they actually take the time to learn your child's personality and bond with them. They do art projects with the children and I can honestly say now that our son is with children his own age, he has learned so many new skills. I can't say enough positive things about Cassie and her team!

I definitely feel like this drop in facility is better as far as security and cleanliness goes compared to another drop in facility in our area. It is cheaper than hiring a babysitter and I don't have to worry about cleaning up. I'm having his little brother in May 2012 and I expect Isaac (5) will be seeing a lot of Recess Time!! It is truly a safe haven for a parent who needs a bit of a break for a reasonable cost and less costly than hiring a sitter if you have an appointment! The owners and the staff are so patient and kind with all the kids. They're especially great with children that have ADHD. My 3 year and is now extremely verbal and potty trained and he won't be four until April. Both my boys have flourished because of the loving environment here. The owners go out of their way to do really fun outings with the kids when the weather is nice. Last year they took them to the garland theater and rented a limo for transportation. They also went to Cat Tailz, Blue Zoo, and the pumpkin patch just to name a few. They're always doing really fun art projects as well. As well as feeding the kids really nutritious and yummy meals throughout the day. They have a really nice outdoor area that is attached to the field behind Millwood kindergarten and sometimes they get permission to use it for the kids. Last year they did a really fun sports camp. They also threw a really fun water party and rented an inflatable waterslide! They also threw really fun holiday parties for the kids and the parents as well. The main reason I bring my kids here is because I can trust these people 100% with my kids. And I don't take that statement lightly because I hardly trust anyone. Some of the negative reviews you might see online have to do with people connected to the previous owners of the facility and parents that are part of the drama and do not speak to the integrity that I have seen for myself.

The children are about the only good thing about this place. The owner (Robyn) shows constant favoritism to her own daughter (Angel) that works here, her sister (Ladonna), and the few employees that she likes/ that have worked there for years. Her daughter (Angel) who is not even qualified to work here is allowed to do the bare minimum(causing other classrooms to go without and other people to do her job), runs personal errands on the clock, she watches her own child on the clock(other employees have also had to help watch her daughter while working), she does her own personal school work on the clock, sits in the office doing personal tasks rather than working, leaves for longer periods of time than her allotted break times, shows up late, "isn't allowed to be in the bathroom for too long because she forgets what shes doing/ where she is" (Robyns own words), wears whatever she wants while the rest of us follow a dress code. Other employees are expected to pick up Angel's slack and not say anything about it, yet Robyn has fired other people on the spot for the same thing. Ladonna the cook does not follow food safety policies, consistently leaves food uncovered in the fridge after cooking it, freezes, de-thaws, and re-freezes food. Claims things on the menu are homemade but in reality they are pre-made items. Uses the microwave to cook 90% of the food, walks around the center with the same gloves on that shes uses to prepare the food. Has served expired food as well as raw food on multiple occasions. Does not provide enough food for the kids to have a full portion or second helpings. Shows up late and leaves early almost every single day, and complains about doing her job constantly. Robyn will consistently brag about how much money she has and all the things she buys/ trips she goes on but wont give her employees raises or incentives to stay or offer healthcare benefits or any benefits really. If you are sick or have to call out she will shame you for it and show no sympathy or understanding, but allows her own daughter to call out whenever she feels like it. Will allow her favorite employees to accrue PTO but would cash out my PTO on almost every single paycheck to the point I had negative PTO hours. Robyn will make a set of rules for one classroom but certain people are exempt from those rules. She does not accommodate children that show signs of being on the spectrum or that may have a disability instead she will just kick them out of the center. Working here took a huge toll on my mental health, despite working extremely hard day after day I was never shown any gratitude or appreciation instead I was treated as the "less than" employee because I was simply not a part of her favorites. Even though I was considered a "lead teacher" I was not allowed to make any decisions about the classroom I worked in, had my ideas turned down, and was not recognized as a good employee ever. Robyn is an extremely greedy, selfish and unappreciative employer and expects this job to be your only priority when this business is not her priority in the slightest. She is the worst manager I have ever encountered in my entire life. I will sincerely miss the children I cared for but I will not miss working here, and do not recommend this place for employment at all for anyone.
