The first time I went, I did see a dentist but he only checked my X-rays and that was it. The next time I went, I only saw the dental hygienist and she cleaned my teeth. The 3rd and final time I went, the same dental hygienist took my new yearly X-rays and cleaned my teeth. She even went to go get the dentist and he never even came because he was supposedly busy, so again I never saw a dentist. They charge you for Oral ID even if your insurance covers it, mine does cover it and they charged me more than my insurance allows them to. All in all, not a great place in my experience. All the times I went there, I never saw a dentist, only ONE time and he didn't even do much, all he did was look at my X-rays for 2 mins and left. The other dentist I use to go to actually cleaned my teeth and everything so i don't know why it's SO DIFFICULT for the dentists at this dental office to even clean your teeth or to even see a dentist, that's just ridiculous to me. And the woman, who's older and white, at the check out area out is slow. I remember she use to be the front desk receptionist and she scared me when she said that my insurance shows that I'm not active in the bcbs system.. this happened during my 2nd visit. I had to call my insurance and they verified that I am and it was all chaos for a few minutes. The customer service rep for bcbs even told me to ask her "what does it exactly say in the system" and when I asked the receptionist she looked confused and said "what system?" and i got mad inside because what do you mean what system??? The system you're looking at right now like hello??? When you have bcbs ppo out of state insurance, they're suppose to put your bcbs out of state insurance info through bcbs of MA and bill it through bcbs of ma and this woman didn't even know because she doesn't know how to do her job. Her job is to be verifying people's insurances before their appt and she didn't even do that before my appt and all of this chaos happened because of her. It was so irritating. That's why on my last visit, I was glad she wasn't the front desk receptionist anymore because she's slow and unorganized & when I saw that she's the check out receptionist I just sighed and she was still slow and unorganized. Also, this place is hell bent on getting your wisdom teeth taken out, they kept bringing it up at every visit when all of my wisdom teeth are fine. This was my experience, yours could be different than mine.

After she extracted a tooth which developed problems she pummelled the socket so badly I had a lump the size of a baseball on my jaw. Worse yet I wound up taking 3 antibiotics because she screwed up the first time. As a result of one of them - I'll never know which - I wound up with the worst cast of C-Diff they had ever seen at our local hospital. I called to inform her of this - She immediately became defensive and rude. I stressed I was calling to inform her not blame her, but she just rattled on about how well-educated she was. (She should have taken a year in communication and courtesy). A simple "I'm sorry" would have sufficed since I stressed I was not interested in litigation. Avoid this dentist like the plague.

Chris, my hygienist was the best! He was so understanding of my anxiety, kept asking if I was ok, or needed a break And had me laughing! I don't think I've ever laughed at a dentist office due to my anxiety! I met Dr Cochrane for a consult and she spent some time going over the work that needed to be done, why it needed to be done and how it should be done. She was super professional and fun. I've never said a dentist was "fun", but she was. Jennifer, also a hygienist, was working in the reception area and literally talked me down off the ledge when she knew how anxious I was. Overall this was an excellent experience and I really look forward to continued treatment with these professionals! They did a ceramic repair that left my front teeth mismatched in size and, even worse, cracked after two days. They filled a cavity on my back teeth and didn't grind down the filling enough. On my last visit, the dentist didn't come into the office, which they didn't tell me before I arrived, so I only met with a hygienist when expecting a dentist visit. I have since met with another dentist who identified cavities that were missed and who was surprised by the quality of the dental work I had done here.

The whole office was welcoming, efficient, and understanding. I wasn't sure whether I would just live with the chip, but Dr. Teddi carefully examined the tooth and after using her imaging machine to show me the problem I agreed to have it repaired. As she went through the process, she explained everything beforehand and answered all my questions about the tooth. The work was painless and quick, and my tooth looks and feels great. I also liked the way everyone was treated in the office. Dr. Teddi was considerate with her assistant, Kevin, and kind with the dental student observing her work (she observed with my permission). While I recognize that this was my first experience at the office, the respect shown between everyone and the good communication skills I saw were obviously developed over time. Highly recommend.

The two Doctors…read moreWohl (Martin, the senior Wohl, and Carina, the junior Wohl) and the third doctor Steed have taken excellent care of my teeth for six or seven years. (Yes, I live on the west coast now, but my spouse and I still belong to their practice exclusively because we are really attached to our dentists!) The dentists and their staff are caring, personable, knowledgeable, and gentle. Over the years, I've had some fillings done, and it has been with kind hands every time. I look for high technical competency, as well as excellent bedside manner in my healthcare providers, and the Wohl Family Practice team fits my needs, and then some. I've visited many dentists in my life, and many dental specialists. These dentists are the best I've ever had. It's a real gift to my family and to the community that the Wohl team is in the world, and I would believe this even if juggling weren't a prerequisite for all their on-staff dentists. But the juggling doesn't hurt.

Two days prior to my appointment they told me to get authorization "from a doctor so that they can prescribe antibiotics". In desperation I called my primary care physician, who told me Crestal can prescribe antibiotics. I called Crestal back the next day, told them what the doctor said, and hey presto! All of a sudden they can prescribe - after wasting hours of my time. I am a schoolteacher. I *repeatedly* told Crestal not to call me during school hours. They called me EIGHT TIMES IN TWO DAYS, during school hours. Finally I made it plain to them - I have autistic students, students with no English, I am not permitted to make or receive calls during the school day, so STOP CALLING. The chirpy little twitch on the phone then told me, "Well then! If you won't talk with us when we want, this isn't the office for you, so now your appointment is cancelled!" and SLAMMED DOWN THE PHONE. They're snotty, disrespectful and generally unpleasant. I communicated all of this to my referring dentist, who was happy to refer me to another office. I called that new office and they told me that there should never have been an issue about things 15 years ago, or antibiotics, or any of it, it was all unnecessary. And they were polite, and scheduled me an appointment after school hours. SKIP CRESTAL, go somewhere else unless you like being disrespected and jerked around.

I literally couldn't eat or DRINK anything for two weeks and had extensive issues with the same for a mont. I lost 20 lbs as a result and was only 120 lbs when I went to see him. The graft, especially from the right of my pallet, has permanent nerve damage. I can feel where the graft was to this day and it was 2 years ago. The whole process was difficult and I didn't receive support on what to do with the issues I was having after. I was often not treated as a valued patient. I would seek out a different perio dentist. Before this, I had no fear or hesitation with dentists. Now I am definitely scared on any future work I may need.
