This Urgent Care was a life saver for us today. Our 6 month old grandson became increasingly sicker…read moretoday as the day went on. When we saw him repeatedly pulling on his ears today, we knew we needed to bring him for urgent care. My daughter especially liked that she was able to make an appointment on line. She was pleased to be able to schedule the appointment for 2 hours later. This urgent care looked very clean and staff were professional. Medical Assistant Danielle was amazing and efficient. Our real hero, though, was NP Alisha. She was OUTSTANDING and quickly diagnosed Carter with a severe double ear infection. Alisha was everything a NP is supposed to be. She was knowledgeable, emphathetic and approachable. I HIGHLY recommend this clinic!

What are they doing? Collecting PII. They even took a photo copy of my DL and then "pretended to look me up in the system" I'm sorry...we can't find you. I was like...WTF...I have been here several times A-HOLE. Nice try though. Then I got a bill from simon med when my insurance covers everything. and the NP refused to send in a nebulizer to the pharmacy through my insurance. RED FLAG RED FLAG. RED FLAG people/ Who in the world is the medical director. Emma Stephans needs to be in charge of all of these urgent cares because she actually does a good job and knows patients are not protocols and has TONS of ER experience.

I am new to the west valley and overall this doctors office meets my expectations. I am surprised…read moreto see that they accept "walk-in appointments". Once care is established getting into see the doctor does not involve a long wait. The patient rooms are clean and up to the modern age for technology. I went to see Dr. Martin for my annual check up and she is great. I was pleased with a high level of patient care from her. Also, she is conscious of what costs are beneficial for her patients (like generic drugs v.s. outrageous name brands). As far as follow up from staff I have not really had an issue. I did call once and I did not get a call back (I was sick and on a cancellation list). I did call back and was scheduled and seen in a prompt and professional manner. This was after establishing care and getting into the system. So in conclusion, if you want a decent no bull medical office go here. If you just walk in expect a wait. If you want to have some kind of hand held small town experience go elsewhere.

Last Monday (9/10), I called my doctors' office to ask for a prescription to be refilled (that I…read morehave been on since 2002 for seizures and restless leg syndrome) called Clonazepam. I was told that the script would be called in to Walgreen's. It wasn't. On Tuesday, Kylie, my daughter, went in to the office to drop off an update d Power of Atty and Living Will (for an upcoming surgery) and asked about the prescription, and was told that it would be called in to the pharmacy that afternoon. It wasn't. I called again on Wednesday, now three days without the pill, only to be told that it would be called in, and again, it wasn't. On Thursday, I was told that the pharmacy had to send over a fax request to have the script filled and that the doctor would not be back in the office till this Monday, which means I would be without the med for a total of 7 (SEVEN) days! I was then put on the phone with a man claiming to be the office manager who told me that the message (which I have never heard, because if you are placed on hold, 623.298.4642, there is no message, just dead silence) would tell you that your pharmacy must send in a fax request...NOT! He refused to listen to my story even telling me that it was my fault and that he didn't care that I used to be a nurse and that he didn't care who screwed up that it was my fault. He yelled at me, wouldn't let me speak and told me that there was nothing he could do. Consequently, last night, I had a grand mal seizure that could have killed me. Google Clonazepam, and look up what happens when you suddenly stop taking this drug after so many years. I have complained to AHCCCS and will complain to Dr. Jeanette Cruz, of Estrella Family Medical the next time I see her. LAWSUIT? POSSIBLY. You don't have to put up with the bull. I could have been told on Monday to have the script request faxed, and problem would have been solved. My daughter could have been told that on Tuesday or handed a script when she was there, but no. At no time were we told...This office dropped the ball, but it's my fault... I COULD HAVE DIED. I WANT HEADS TO ROLL AND PEOPLE FIRED. AM I MAD, DAMN RIGHT I AM MAD. I HAVE KIDS TO RAISE AND A LIFE TO LIVE. JUST BECAUSE SOME OFFICES REQUIRE A PHARMACY TO SEND A SCRIPT REQUEST, DOESN'T MEAN THEY ALL DO, AND I HAVE NEVER HAD TO DO THIS BEFORE!! ~~ I got a certified letter today, 9/20, telling me that I have been fired. That tells me that this office can't admit to their mistakes and that I am glad that as of October, I am glad I am no longer their patient. I have alerted AHCCCS, the Arizona Medical Review Board and will be filing a Medical Malpractice Lawsuit as well.~~

I can see why the reviews are bad. I'm always optimistic and always give places chances but…read moreabsolutely not! Walking in, the receptionist Geraldine was very condescending. Very rude disrespectful. I walked in and said we are here for my son's appt that we did online. She immediately asked in a very disrespectful way "who" while giving me this annoyed look and I proceeded to hand her the papers and she didnt say anything. She acted like she was busy when there was no one else but us. It was empty. We still had to wait a long time to get seen. However, Fabian the MA was very caring and respectful. The PA was amazingly nice the only reason I'm giving them a 3 star of because of the MA and PA.

This review is pretty much for all healthcare facilities…read more It never fails. I hesitate to actually go to the doctor here in the U.S. because it's usually a waste of money and time. Let me add that you also miss school and work for nothing. I wasn't incorrect again. You go in sick or injured and you get no tests or X-rays done, are sent home with no medication, but you've paid your expensive copay and your insurance is billed ridiculously. "It will go away on its own", and in the meantime you can't function or are in much pain. ‍  In Mexico, you go to the doctor, get X-rays, MRIs and full lab or blood work done, and within a few hours have all of the results. You are also given an ACTUAL treatment for weeks to months that RESOLVE your issue.  You also receive instant relief!   How do you explain that, when we, in the U.S., have the latest technology and resources. I know....its all politics and about the money here and not the patient.   It may not be a bad idea to opt out of my private insurances, save the premiums and just travel to Mexico when need be. It would definitely be cheaper!! Please take my review as something to improve on and not as a rant. Thank you.
