Our child worked with Jessica for the majority of our time there, and to say she's exceptional would be an understatement. She brings a rare combination of clinical expertise, intuition, and warmth that made each session not only productive but truly enjoyable--for both our child and us as parents. Jessica has a gift for teaching through fun. She used creative play, games, and imagination to keep our child engaged in every session, all while targeting meaningful progress. She celebrated every milestone, no matter how small, helping to build confidence and excitement along the way. She was highly observant and adjusted exercises in real time based on how our child was doing physically and emotionally that day. It was clear she always had our child's full picture in mind--advocating not just for physical progress but overall well-being. As parents, we also felt incredibly supported. Jessica explained everything clearly, without ever talking down to us, and gave helpful tips for reinforcing progress at home. She created a welcoming, encouraging space that our child genuinely looked forward to visiting. While Jessica was out, Andrea stepped in to continue our care--and did a fantastic job. She ensured our child stayed on track and brought her own thoughtful, expert approach to each session. It's also worth noting that Andrea is the owner, and the tone she sets at the practice--warm, professional, and child-focused--is clearly reflected in the care we received throughout. We had a rocky start to the pregnancy with a miscarriage scare that required pelvic rest and the Haven team was wonderful throughout that time. The prenatal visits were encouraging, empowering and educational and I was always given plenty of space to voice my concerns and ask questions. When labor began (a full week "late"), baby came very quickly and we were so thankful that our birth team did too. We loved having our son at home (instead of in our vehicle, like we did with our second )! How amazing to feel safe and empowered to give birth the way we wanted to, in our own space! The birth team was attentive to postpartum care as well and helped us get started as a family of five. I would rather give birth alone in a barn than be abused by Kameron. I was lied to, drugged despite…read morerefusals, coerced, and threatened that I would die and my baby would be brain dead. All while in labor with my first, possibly only, child. I had read hours upon hours about my risks (low) she read the front page and none of the linked studies on vaginal birth after fibroid removal surgery then used fear mongering to scare my family. When I disagreed she made up a diagnosis without any labs, signs or symptoms and forced medication into my IV while I slept. I probably had toxicity based on symptoms, but no labs were checked for another 12 hours. They withheld significant information from me, making informed consent iffy at best. Because of the medications I was given I have almost no memory for 36 hours, including the birth and first day of my little one's life. It is devastating. Because of their interventions I had a massive hemorrhage a few hours after birth, where an emergency team was required to stop my bleeding (~2.7L between surgery, a small hemorrhage, and the severe hemo). I struggle with severe birth trauma, postpartum depression w/suicidal ideation, PTSD, and body dysmorphia (from the unwanted and completely unnecessary C-section). This practice does have some very kind people, but you don't get to choose who you get. I have heard a few reports of lovely births...follow your gut and hire a doula for added support/protection.

I would not recommend this physical therapy office based on my experience…read more I had an initial evaluation scheduled weeks in advance and made significant efforts to ensure I could attend. In fact, I chose not to travel out of town that weekend specifically because I did not want to miss this appointment. I also completed all intake forms and paperwork online ahead of time to make the process as smooth as possible. Unfortunately, there was a major accident on the highway during my 40-minute drive to the office. As soon as I realized I would be delayed, I called the office twice, but no one answered. I left a voicemail explaining the situation and letting them know I was still on my way. I finally received a callback when I was only two minutes away from the office. I informed the front desk that I was pulling into the parking lot. When I arrived, approximately 20 minutes into my one-hour appointment, I was told that my therapist, Grant Mullins, would not be able to see me because an entire hour was required for the initial assessment. What made this especially frustrating was the complete lack of flexibility, empathy, or effort to find a solution. Grant was present and watched the conversation taking place at the front desk from one of the treatment stations, yet never approached me to discuss the situation personally. There were no patients with him at the time, as the appointment slot had been reserved for me. Rather than attempting a shortened evaluation, discussing next steps, or even acknowledging the inconvenience, I was simply turned away after driving 40 minutes to get there. I understand that schedules matter and that policies exist. However, exceptional patient care requires communication, professionalism, and basic courtesy. After making every reasonable effort to notify the office of my delay, completing all paperwork in advance, and arriving ready for my appointment, I expected far better treatment. Instead, I left feeling ignored, disrespected, and as though my time had no value. I don't know if race has anything to do with it, but it's an all white office in Tennessee, and I am black. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this practice and will be seeking care elsewhere.

I could barely even hold my 3-year-old daughter! I chose Beyond simply because it's close to my office, and I'm so glad I did. Javier and his entire staff (shout out to Concilia, Romany, and Grant!) prioritized deep understanding of my condition and goals, and tailored the perfect plan to guide my recovery. Combining patient, focused visits and a detailed home exercise regimen, they kept me both challenged and encouraged. And it worked! I'm once again lifting and tossing my baby girl with ease, and overall feeling better than I have in years. My course of treatment at Beyond PT was an incredible experience--feeling less pain and greater strength every single day. I wish I could just keep going, but, you know, economics. Yet as I leave, not only have I accomplished my rehabilitation goals, but I have a toolbox of stretches and exercises that will keep me feeling better and stranger as long as I choose to keep using them.
