We just love it here. We've been members for 4 years now! Started with my daughter when she was one and now my little boy loves it, too. We love the open play gyms in the area, but I really like the structured class environment here as I think it's a great introduction to listening to some rules (circle time) and following along with teachers and little friends. We love My Gym! I drive 20 mins to take my son here because of the awesome teachers. Hands down, the best teachers around. The space is open, wide and bright with lots of light pouring in through big windows. Every week, the gym area is set up a little differently. There's a ball pit, trampoline, circle time, independent play, a rock climbing wall, zip line and a lot more for little to explore. The classes are divided into different age groups and the kids learn about colors, patience, taking turns, and so much more. There's is a Little Gym five mins away from where I live. I tried taking my kid there for close to 7 months and he never really felt comfortable and I felt like the teachers were a little detached. We've been going to My Gym for almost two years now and it's a joy each time. My son LOVES it there, asks to go, and is always excited to see his teachers. The teachers are truly outstanding. Cannot say enough good things about this place! We attended a birthday party here last night and it was excellent. They have three employees who were running the birthday party and they encouraged several group games and activities which were amazing. They made the party so much fun! There were many places to play around i'm putting a trampoline, foam mat, balls, and swings. It was so great, and you were also able to bring in their own food. This place will be a great place to host any sort of event for kids!! There is a rock wall and several places to hook up different play things. They were great about remembering the kids names, and they include every child equally. They had special stuff for the birthday girl, and they made every child have such a fun time. I would 110% go back here!! read more

I am a stay at home first time mom who heard of My Gym by word of mouth. I instantly decided to check it out and I'm so glad I did. I have a 5 month old who loves to stay busy and active and there's only so much I can do with her in our home to keep her entertained. My Gym is an amazing place to go to help your baby / toddler grow cognitively and physically! It's also a great place to go meet other mommy's as well! The teachers are so friendly and they really love what they do! I'd highly suggest this gym to any mommy or daddy! read more

I have been bringing my kids here for 2.5 years now and love it. The teachers are so positive and silly and try so hard. They did a fabulous job pivoting during the pandemic. I can tell my kids are stronger and more graceful than before the classes. This place is more happy fun time With a side of gymnastics than a real gymnastics center but that's all I'm looking for. I've also hosted 2 birthday parties here. One right before covid with 20 kids and one right after with 5 kids. Both were a total blast. Once you show up, the parents don't have to lift a finger. The teachers take care of everything. They even did face painting! And they are cake cutting experts. Even if my kids get too old I will have a hard time quitting this place because I feel bonded to them after going through this covid trauma and having them stay by my side and entertain my kids online. (And get them to exercise). Overall I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time. Ages 6 months and up are welcome. Though I waited till my youngest was 2 to start her. read more

My son Riley loves it. The structure has helped with his listening skills and he is now interacting well with other children because of the free plays. We also booked his 3rd birthday party there and it was a fantastic time. They centered it around him and was the best party that we have been too. The teachers are great with the kids. They know how to work with the more difficult ones (trust me, mine was one of them). They are patient and understand the children fears with out pushing them to do something. There is not a day that goes by that Riley does not ask to go to My Gym. read more

I purchased a 2-month groupon to see how much my son would enjoy coming here and whether it's worth the drive to come out here on a weekly basis. this is our third class, and my son is definitely enjoying my gym. the teachers are kind and friendly and work well with the diverse group of two-year-olds, setting up different creative activities and experiences for each class. they interact well on a one-on-one level with my son. they also give the kids an opportunity to play on their own and discover what they enjoy. will we return after two months? I'm still not sure if it's worth the drive or monthly $60 charge for one class each week, but I'm definitely glad to know my gym is a place that puts a smile on my son's face. read more

Love this place! My kids go ape-sh... here. Friendly and fun staff. Aside from the weekly classes, we've had two birthday parties here. Great times. In between classes my kids like to play MyGym at home. One of my daughters favorite t-shirts is...MyGym of course. Sometimes I have to hide the shirt if it is not clean or else she'll wear it over what she is already wearing. read more

The staff is excellent. They are constantly putting out new activitiy centers for the children, to accomodate for the small space. Speaking of small space...this place is kinda tiny. If your child is particularly active, like mine, it would not be a great place for energy burning. They do very well with the space they have: a ball pit, a climbing wall, small slides and more. I think it's more suited for a young toddler (around one year old) than an older, more active child. read more

Awesome place for toddlers and for parents to take their children to for some learning and fun! We had enrolled our daughter when she was 4 months but had to take her out of the class due to my work schedule conflicting with their class schedule. If I was a stay at home mom I would've never taken her out from this class. Great place for infants and toddlers to enhance their fine and gross motor skills. We took a free class and after that we decided to sign up. The kids had a blast and they learned new things that I am just not able to teach them at home with out spending hundreds to make it. For example zip line, teater totter flip mat and walking on it, they suspended a walkway for them to balance and walk, and they expose them to rock climbing, a ball pit, slides, gymnastic equipment, taking turns and listening to instruction and so much more. It is $75 per child with a 10% discount for a sibling. You go to one set class and they have 4 open gym play times that you can go to as well. They reorganize the room every week so it seems like a new experience for the kids each time. With all the new things my kids are learning and developing all these new skills I definitely believe it is worth the fee. read more

This place is a hundred times better than Gymboree! There are multiple teachers who are very involved and encouraging with the kids. Different activities are introduced throughout the class with most of it being free time for the kids to explore. I really liked the "separation time" where all the kids and teachers sat in the circle and played with toys while the parents sat back. It gave the kids a chance to socialize with people other than you which with my 18 month old son being an only child right now is important. It is $72/month for one class per week which is more than I can afford so unfortunately we won't be going back. However, they offer one free class to try it out. My 18 month old LOVED it! read more

I'm new to the area and I inquired about MyGym online and had a quick reply. My daughter and I trialed a class with my daughter and I loved the energy that the instructors had given off to the children. I would definitely recommend this gym to anyone with small children ! read more

I am so disappointed in My Gym. I found My Gym Overland Park after the Gymboree Play & Music we were going to in Olathe closed. I enrolled my daughter, who was about 27 months old, in classes after the free trial class. It was a high pressure sales pitch, stating the membership fee was only reduced if we signed up in that moment. If I would have had more time, I would have not done so. The classes were so large, often 15 or more kids making the wait for turns on activities very long for little ones. The large class size with many kids and parents made the room very full, sometimes more than 40 people, and severely limiting space for littles to run. The forced participation during circle time was not age-appropriate. If kids left the circle, parents had to get them and bring them back to the circle. If parents did not, staff returned kids to the circle, often times resulting in parents having to hold crying kids and force them to stay in the circle. This was upsetting to my daughter, and honestly to me, to watch. Also, I felt the gym was not cleaned or sanitized often. Gymboree wipes down the whole room and all toys after EACH class and offered special bags to place things that had been "mouthed" or chewed on. This was not the case at My Gym. We went to Gymboree for five months and my daughter was never sick once. After one month at My Gym, she was sick twice. We cancelled our membership as soon as we could (you have to wait two months and give 30 days notice) and did not go to classes the second month, as we were so disappointed. I would not recommend this to anyone. read more

There is a new teacher in training (I was told she has only been working for about a week). For those of you unfamiliar with My Gym, there is class and then free play. During the class, the kids are asked to perform certain activities. Well, my 23 month old did his best to participate , but he really just wanted to play (it was first time at My Gym and he was having a fabulous time...huge smile on his face). He started to climb a ramp when the new teacher grabbed him from behind aggressively, which scared him (the look on his face confirmed his fear), said in his ear "you need to pay attention", and then haphazardly handed him off to me (so she did all of this right in front of me). I did my best to comfort him, but he was shaken. I almost lost it. It was so out of line. I was shaking because I was so angry. She scared my child for no reason! Well, when I spoke to the Director after the class, she said that the new teacher "made a mistake" and is "still in training". This isn't "a mistake"- It is an inability to interact constructively with young children. Don't let this woman anywhere near you children. I won't be back!! read more
