We signed a contract to sell our house to Sean Smith, Luke Careccia from the Thrivere Team who is a part of the My Home Group. Sean walked the property with my agent and he was told everything that was needed to be done to the house. The offer was for selling "As is", no repairs and no cleaning with us allowed to stay in our house for 30 days after closing and a 1 day inspection period. Sean could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Them last Friday comes and Sean said we need to drop their offer price $25K because he said that he did not know what everything costs and it would take more money to fix up. After several days of going back and forth and telling him we signed a contract and he walked the property and he was told what the issues were in the house and we were expecting to close on December 29th. Sean kept saying I am doing everything I can to make this work, blah, blah, blah. He said he sent over the inspection report on December 12th but we never received it. I asked him to forward that email to see the timestamp. He never sent it. The title company said he needed to send by December 11th but he said he sent on December 12th. We scheduled for him to come over Monday night to see according to him "where we can cut some corners and save some money." He never showed, did not answer and texts or phone calls and never apologized for blowing us off. Then yesterday after telling them we were not going to sign the cancelation addendum they sent and we expected to close on December 29th or give us the earnest money, Luke sent an email to myself and the title company saying they were canceling the contract, said to send their earnest money back to them. The reason they used was that we did not disclose on the Disclosure Form that there were cracks in the foundation. I did put on the form that their were cracks in the flooring but I do not know how they know there are cracks in the foundation, as Sean was only in our house the one time to walk the property initially. Bottom line is that Sean and Luke are very dishonest and has put us in a very bad situation as we are supposed to close on our new house on December 29th as well. I know this does not represent all who work under the My Home Group umbrella but they only ones that are getting screwed is us. Do not use the Thrivere Team. read more

False advertising... well, technically not. False advertising because a rep. of My Home Group made the claim. Not false advertising because we did not deal with Doug Hopkins personally. Doug Hopkins says on the radio "Some guys will lowball you at the last minute, I will never do that"... "Doug Hopkins with My Home Group" Our deal with My Home Group had the person try to cut $15.000 off the agreed price after we signed our part of the deal. We weren't desperate so we said, no, not happening. After some "maneuvering" the My Home Group guy did the deal at the agreed to price. I did not pursue the false advertising issue because I didn't deal with Mr. Hopkins and "my" realtor is a friend of the family. read more

This review is for Tim and Becky as they present themselves as a team. It is long because I wanted to provide you with details on the top items to show how painful this home sale process was. There is much more to this and I am considering filing a complaint against them. They lack knowledge, sense of urgency, negotiation skills, and most importantly transparency that results in them providing bad advice and putting me in in bad positions, delays, misunderstandings, and lack of trust from me. I had so many issues with them that I had to start taking notes for myself for this review and eventually had to send summaries of our conversations to hold them accountable for what they said. It was so bad I reached out their broker a week before close who brought in another realtor to help complete the sale. After all the delays and when he had not completed his outstanding action items, Tim had the nerve to say that "time is off the essence in all real estate processes" when I asked how long I had to respond to the buyers on a seller's credit. Apparently, it applies to me but not to them. Bad Advice on Offers/Lack of Knowledge - After the first weekend, I had 3 real offers (6 total) and accepted the best, but they backed out after 2 days. Tim recommended I take the next best. Since it was only the first week, I had to ask for the week's activity as I wanted to see if I would get more. Activity looked good so I said to wait another week and got another offer that was similar to the first. Also, while we were discussing the offers, I asked a lot of questions about the net out amount, which is a better metric for me while Tim thought the highest sales price was the best metric. During these conversations, Tim didn't know what title insurance was or why I had to pay for it and started to Google it. Before he finished, I explained to him what it was and why I would pay for it. Delays on Stove Repairs - On 7/2, the inspector discovered an issue with the stove and Tim said he would go to the property and let me know the issue on 7/3 but didn't get back to me until 7/5. He said he had an appliance guy that could repair on 7/10. The stove was replaced on 7/24. Bad Position on Repair Request - Like my family, another realtor, and my electrician, I would have preferred to have a plan in place before I responded to the repair request. The stove delayed the inspection period to 7/10. On 7/14, Becky texted me that they had the repair request and were working on getting the most thorough information to provide a solution when Tim planned to talk to me on 7/15 (due date). Immediately, I requested both the inspection report and repair request and was shocked that they had the report since 7/11 and there were many items that I was not aware of. I demanded to talk to Tim on the solutions they had and there were none. In fact, he was going to the property that night so I asked for a summary to be sent that night. Morning came and no summary so I texted him at 7 AM and he said he was there until 845 PM. If he had been working on it for 3 days, why was he still there until 845? Also, my neighbor said the next day that no one was at the property. On 7/15, when we were reviewing the items to do, I asked him if I could decline one of them items. Tim responded that it might make the deal fall through, but he didn't know. I told him to talk to the buyer's agent and he responded with what if they say no and the deal falls through? I had to explain to him that's why you're talking to the agent to see what the deal breakers were. If he doesn't know something as basic as this, I wondered how he had been negotiating on my behalf up this point? Delays on Repairs - By 7/21, I had less than a week to fix everything to close on updated schedule (delayed a week already) and there was still no plan to complete the repairs I had agreed to. Tim had the nerve to say that "time is off the essence in all real estate processes" when I asked how long I had to respond to the buyers on a seller's credit for one of them. Tim said he was going to meet with vendors on 7/22 to fix the other things that I had already agreed to and to trust him. With everything that had already happened, I did not trust him as the stove was still not fixed after more than 2 weeks. I told him he had to fix the stove and I would do the rest, which I completed in 4 days. Why did I do everything in less time than a professional realtor? If it was not his responsibility to project manage this, why would he take it on in the first place? Clearly, I could have finished everything faster than him. read more

Out of all my years as a Realtor and with various brokers, My Home Group is the only one that billed me a $250 fee for severing my license with them without notifying them first. I do not recommend them as a place to hang your real estate license. read more

He was representing me as my broker and once he found out I had found a good deal on a condo he tried to get his other clients to outbid me! Even though he was representing me! What a joke! They continually call in an attempt to solicit business. I have kindly asked them several times to stop contacting me, as they continue to do so even though I have expressed that their contact is unwanted. This company struggles to update their records regarding who they are contacting and that alone makes me doubt their competency to represent a real estate transaction. Attention to detail is critical and for some reason they can't seem to get this right, specifically the representative named 'Ice'. Stop harassing people through your unwanted contact. read more

Chau Tran recently contracted us to perform a tuneup on a house she owns and happens to be the listing/selling agent for that house as well. We performed a tuneup and discovered a few things wrong with her 11 year old a/c system (which is to be expected on an 11 year old system) . She demanded that we erase our findings and send her a invoice that just says performed tuneup. She refused payment to us until we hid our discoveries which we would never do. This is not an agent I would buy a house from as I want an honest report of my house and appliances. read more

Something you will notice when viewing any reviews for My Home Group is that there are a TON of one star reviews with some reviewers stating they wish they could do a zero. Don't get me wrong, there are also 5 star reviews, primarily from other realtors and there is NO middle ground. We typically never utilize a business that we have not checked the online reviews prior to retaining. However, the realtor we had used 5 years prior was unable to assist us due to an unfortunate family circumstance. We ended up working with MHG realtor, ANDREW JOHNSON. When working with Andrew, we knew we would be selling and purchasing another property. We know the area and what we wanted to purchase. We constantly sent Andrew homes we were interested in. We found that Andrew sent identical listings that were a day or two behind what we were sending to him. When we purchased in May, Andrew acted as our agent. We started the process of marketing our other property immediately following our contract being accepted on the new property. Right away, we ran into problems. Upon listing, Andrew sent me the link and the photos which were horrific. We complained as soon as we saw and also mentioned that listing did not include photos of the pool. Andrew informed us that the photos were not bad but if we wanted different photos, we could hire a photographer to come and retake. We sent Andrew a photo of the pool, which he did not want to use because he thought it was too distant. As the property continued to be listed, family, friends and other realtors mentioned how horrible the photos were, that it looked like they had been taken with a phone camera. After a couple of weeks with limited showings, Andrew encouraged us to lower the price by $10,000. My husband asked him if he thought we needed to go lower, but Andrew assured us that the $10K was enough. Another two weeks passed with still limited showings. We determined that we really needed to use a different realtor. We let Andrew know this and asked what we need to do to terminate the contract and use a realtor more familiar with the area. Andrew and my husband spoke and Andrew was very defensive and told us we were trying to sell in a bad market and that we should have lowered the price instead of by $10K, by $25K. We knew and understood we were in a changing market and told Andrew that we had asked about going lower. During the conversation he said we would be charged a $3K fee to terminate the contract. My husband reminded him that we had purchased a much more expensive property using him from which he had received a commission. Andrew informed us that he didn't make any commission money from us, but that the seller had paid his commission. Basically, Andrew was so uninformed about finances that he obviously did not realize that if you don't have a purchaser, you don't make any money from the seller. We did pay the $3k to terminate and immediately contracted with another realtor. Within two days of being placed on the market, we had a contract for over our asking price. Additionally the new broker we used charged a lower fee so even having to pay the $3K, we still paid less in commissions and made more money. Andrew is very young, very green and in our opinion should have been happy with the bird in the hand rather than risking a review like this, especially considering that we had used him on the larger transaction. BEWARE! this place hired us to move on of their properties last week. Steven Johnson the realtor who called to schedule our services works for these people. He is one of their realtors. The guy is a bizzare, dishonest and angry person. Everyone at this so called realty firm lacks character, morals and integrity. Steven Johnson should be no where near an office of any kind. Nathan Cannon Real Estate Agent with the "My HomeGroup Real Estate" 1. Listing was incorrect, no "hits" which gave us a chance to view and purchase the home. Although the price had dropped several hundreds of dollars, we offered the previous listing price. 2. Listed home as a Lennar Nextgen Home when it was a Shea home 3. Accepted unprofessional fix for cracked roof tile 4. Neglected to inform the seller of rent-back cost, which in turn was upsetting the seller where they did not want to repair any findings from the inspector. My REA had to intervene to get things taken care of. 5. The lack of interest from Nathan Cannon with this listing was to say the least, horrific. Due to his disinterest the signing was delayed, there was an additional cost to the sellers $250.00 (fixing the roof tile appropriately). He stated that he would pay for the rent back since he neglected to reveal this cost to the seller. However in the settlement statement it indicated that the seller was paying the additional $750.00 6. His non involvement with this property was and is evident in the way the sellers left this house. My REA T&T Real Estate Terry and Tambra stepped in to alleviate more cost to us, the buyers. 7. There were many more issues on the sellers side and are not mine to state. I would stay as far away as possible from Nathan Cannon as a Real Estate Agent. He is not experienced and does not really care about you and your needs. He seems to be in the wrong business. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! A home was sold to me by a realtor from My Home Group at 1 East Helena Drive Phoenix, AZ 85022. The selling realtor is Nenif Odisho, license number SA666045000. Upon moving into the property that I purchased on October 31, 2020, I discovered that one of the sinks in the double vanity in the master bathroom is non operational. The pipe under the sink is rusted and has a major leak. Additionally, due to this extensive leak that has clearly been left unattended and unfixed for quite some time, there is a gaping hole in the bottom of the vanity. The wooden bottom of the vanity is rotted out and the surrounding area is about to collapse due to the water damage. Because of this, there is mold that has now grown in the area of the hole. I called a plumber, however, the damage is too extensive and the vanity must not only come out but treatment for mold must be done.  The sellers did not disclose this damage in their legal disclosure document, yet left a small kit right under the sink that is not able to be used. When my realtor reached out to the selling realtor, Mr. Odisho, about rectifications for this FRAUDULENT act, he stated initially that "I (the buyer) must have bumped something" and then later stated that "it was like that when the sellers moved into the house 5 years ago". The first statement isn't true and doesn't make sense for the amount of damage that is under the sink. Additionally, at the time of the first complaint which was made immediately after realizing the amount of damage and the fact that my master sink is inoperable, I had only lived in the home for 10 days. The second statement admits that the sellers and Nenif Odisho knew about the leak and yet did not disclose as they are required by law to do. The second statement is their truth and admits the FRAUD that was committed when knowingly lying in a legal document. I reached out to the inspector of the house who admitted he didn't catch the damage but also put in writing that there is no way the owner or realtor did not know of the damage since it is so extensive. Mr. Odisho has not responded since originally reaching out to him about rectifying the clear fraud he and his client (HIS BROTHER) committed. I also reached out to the general broker via email and received NO response. I could not fathom that the realtor, nor a broker would not respond to a formal complaint, so I then reached out via email to the main broker of the company Mr. Andrew Glenn, and never received a response either. I am awaiting a response (just did one final follow-up email) from Nenif Odisho, Andrew Glenn and the owner of My Home Group, Jereme Kleven. This is the third email however, so I'm not holding my breath. Mr. Odisho and his brother/client who sold me the house lied and committed clear fraud by signing a disclosure document stating there was nothing wrong with the house. Clearly, this is how Mr. Odisho runs his real estate business. My Home Group and their brokers do not care about lies or fraud either apparently as they have not even acknowledged a formal complaint against an agent they employ or against their company; this is how they run their real estate business. I have an attorney contacting them, have reported them to the Better Business Bureau, the Arizona Department of Real Estate as well as made formal complaints on social media and other avenues. To show such disrespect and disregard for another human who just made a huge step in buying a home, and not even acknowledge their grievance is awful, cruel, unprofessional and not acceptable. read more

Seller agreed to fix items on the inspection list. They did not fix them. When we did the walk through Brandon was aware they were not fixed and said we would take care of that later. When we called him to discuss items we were told he couldn't help us. We needed a real estate lawyer. Cost us over $30k in repairs. Be very careful with this company. My agent wanted to hurry the sale along and help out the buyers rather than representing me. He went so far as to change an e-sign document that we signed with one simple phrase 'see addendum' and then tells us if we don't sign his addendum that the buyers can sue us to recoup their cost. When he was called on it he had zero remorse and then claimed he was just trying to be professional. To add further insult the addendum according to his emails simply stated that he was giving the buyer $1200 at closing from his commission but the actual document stated we the sellers were. read more

We listed our home with one of this brokerage's East Valley agents. She lost two full-price offers on our home in one week, due to what we believe to be inexperience and incompetence. She removed window coverings from our home and threw them away, even though we specifically directed her not to remove window coverings. She refused to pay for the window coverings she removed, or do anything to remedy the situation. Supervising broker of My Home Group refused to call us back about this situation. We have contacted the state of Arizona. Worst real estate experience ever. Avoid this group and its agents. read more

By far the worse leasing company I've ever dealt with. Derek W the Realtor showed me a rental property in Goodyear on Saturday 10/31. Later that day I got a call saying they wanted to move forward with my application and they would send me the contract by Monday. I never received a contract. Also, I had a hard time getting in touch with either Derek or Craig the Agent. Once I did get in touch with one of them they promised I would have a contract within 24 hours. That never happened and they rented the home to someone else. This has been a horrible experience that has cost me weeks in my move to AZ. Thanks for nothing. A simple "I'm sorry, we moved forward with another applicant" would've sufficed. Dickheads. read more

The owners don't care at all to return your call unless you sell 100 deals a year because you are not important and the brokers are a puppets. Stay far away from this company! They'll say ANYTHING to get your listing, blame you for EVERYTHING that goes wrong, and LIE! They have "partners" outside of their company that service the listing, pretending to be the listing agent (but actually work for another realty co.) Not sure if they do this to save money or what, but when you have problems, go to the BROKER. This was the biggest joke of a company I've ever dealt with. Do not use this company!!! They do not have your best interest. If you have a problem with how the realtor worked, like ethical issues and selling you a house that is garbage. They do not return lawyer calls or emails. They ignore everything. I have reported business and the realtor to the board of realtors for unethical business. This house I bought has more issues than was disclosed. The inspector that was used was Zeb Adams personal reference. I did not get choices of who to choose. Little did I know that the inspector was friends with the realtor and deemed the house good when it actually is not worth even half of what I paid for. Been trying for months to get this company to speak with my lawyer and all they have done is ignore. I am moving forward and filling complaints with the state and shaming them to whomever I can. The business is alright but Caleb cuevas is unprofessional. He talked about how he was a fireman most of the time and about his failed marriage. Considering the way he was flirting and looking at me I can see why it failed. I felt so uncomfortable with what a sleeze he was. I love my neighborhood; in fact I am raising my family in this neighborhood. I have been looking to buy a home and this seemed perfect. I have been looking for a long time to find just the right home. When I saw this house I fell in love and knew I must have it. I really wanted to buy this house. I felt the listing price was way over the actual worth of this house, but I was willing to try anyway. The asking price is way higher than any other house sold in this neighborhood. My offer, of course was dismissed because it was significantly lower than the asking price. I was not ready to give up on my dream home, so I sought out help from my father. To buy this house with anything close to the asking price would require an extremely large down payment; much larger than I could afford by myself. My father flew in from Hungry a few days before the March 20th to come and see this house I was talking about. My father wanted to see the property before he loans me a large sum of money for a down payment on this house. I am not a man without means, but keep in mind we are talking about an extremely large amount of money to put as a down payment. When I was driving home I saw that the house was having an open house viewing. I saw this as the perfect opportunity to show my father the home that I wanted to buy and fell in love with. I assumed the person inside the home was the real-estate agent. We went up to the house and I had asked her if we could take a look at the house. We were greeted with suspicion and rudeness. I'm not sure if it was our appearance, or the fact that we have an accent. Her behavior is completely unjustified and unwarranted. After I informed her who I was and said I am interested in buying this house; she still treated my father and me as if we were nothing. I have never felt so disrespected and the victim of prejudice in my whole life. Never once did she ask what I could afford, or why am I asking to see the house again. Her response to tell me to get off her property immediately and that showing me the house again would not only be a waste of her time, but also wear and tear on the house. The conversation became heated, and I became very upset. I have never been treated like this in my whole entire life. I own a successful heating and cooling business. I am a respected and active member, not only in my community, but in my city. I know I can afford to buy this house, and my father, he can afford to buy more than a few houses of the same price. The way this agent treated us, embarrassing my father and I, in my own neighborhood none the less, and in front of my neighbors... the people I see every day. This is truly something that I have never encountered before and I hope no one else has to either. Needless to say, my father is completely uninterested in purchasing this house after the way we have been treated. We were completely shocked and appalled by this agent's behavior. I feel this agent should be reprimanded, or should not work around, or in customer relations in any form. Mrs. Careccia should know that this is not how you talk to, or treat people; especially if they are potential clients who "were" more than willing to spend a substantial amount of money. After I had taken my father home I came back to the house to try and reason with the agent. I was offering an explanation for the reason for my returned visit in hopes to save the deal on this house that I wanted to purchase so much. Mrs. Careccia then proceeded to scream at me "GET OFF OF MY PROPERTY," and went as far as taking pictures of my car and license plate. Mrs. Careccia became very verbally abusive and that not only startled me, but it was completely unwarranted. I was being treated as if I was a criminal. I told this agent that I was going to contact her superiors to report her discrimination and all around lack of manners. I guess this house was not meant to be mine. I have been looking for a long time and I thought that house was very beautiful. The owner of the property should know who they have representing them. How many sales has she toss away because of her attitude and lack of people skills? The owner has definitely lost a potential client ready and willing to do a lot to buy this house.
