I spent a good deal of time there yesterday (2.5 hours) and again today (3hours) I watched the staff the entire time as they acted toward their patients and the animals owners. Each and every time they showed compassion and love. It was amazing to watch! This was the 3rd time I used their services and I can guarantee I will never go anywhere else! The veterinarian staff were top notch, the team members up front were amazing, the prices were reasonable, and the treatment my pet received excellent. Thank you for caring! Leo thanks you as well!

Update..... If I could give less that one star I would. This place is ridiculous. Never have I ever had a complication with a spay or a neuter and now all 4 of my babies have had something wrong. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS PLACE! Now Poppys incision almost looks like it is getting infected! I will post a picture in the comments of her little belly! I was very disappointed in the care my pets received at My Kids Have Paws. I took 4 cats in to have 2 neutered and 2 spayed. 3 of the 4 had a complication. And they did not willingly tell me about any of them. One of my males had a charge that none of the others did so I asked what it was and after the girl upfront went to the back to "talk to the doctor" she came back and told me it is where they had to give him a reversal agent because he would not wake up. So I got charge $15 because they over sedated him. It says in my discharge instructions that the males are not sutures or glued due to the incisions being so small I noticed less than 24 hrs that you could see a little pink coming through the incision. So I called and sent them a photo and was told it was "fat" and if I felt comfortable doing it I could grab his scrotum and pull it up and push on it and that fat could be pushed back in. And my 3rd one was one of my females and they called and told me she had fleas and they were going to treat her (none of my pets go outside ever and she was they only one with fleas) and they asked if they could give her subq fluids for $5 and an antibiotics for $15 because "her ligaments didn't look right" I don't work with animals so I didn't know any better so I was like sure do what ever she needs. When I picked them up they specifically asked for me to call the next day and let them know how she was doing. We'll the next morning I got to looking at her incision and what should of been less than 1/2 an inch was actually 2 inches of her 3 inch abdomen. So I called to let them know how she was and asked about why she had such a large incision. The girl at the front again said let me go talk to the doctor. The girl came back amd said so the doctor said "there were bleeding complications so they had to make the incision a little bigger" Now the subq fluids makes more sense because they had to replentish her fluid loss. So 1- they did not willingly tell me about any of the complications, 2- they lied about my female the first time I asked, and 3- they charged me for complications they caused. I am a very understanding person and completely understand that accidents happen. But if you screw up admit it. Don't not tell someone and don't lie about it. And if you are the doctor that operated on the pets talk to the owner instead of pawning it off on your receptionist.

A very satisfied patient. My boy Buster.

Anyway, I called 3 of the vets in Bartow County and their prices were between $300 and $400! So I decided to check Calhoun and found All Animal Veterinary Hospital and I could not believe what she said! I kept verifying the price and that she is in heat, and might weigh more than 25 pounds, and that it includes shots! She said the price is $104.00!!! We have an appointment on Wednesday. Check this one out before you go to the vet again. It's across from Walmart at the traffic light. Update: Sugar Baby came thru the surgery and recovered with flying colors! We took her back to have the stitches removed and again we were so pleased with the professional and courteous attitude of this business! I have referred several people and will continue to do so! Thank you so much for this excellent service with affordable prices!

I can't recommend this clinic enough. They are phenomenal…read more I first used them about two and a half weeks ago, when one of our rowdy Great Pyrenees came up three-legged. (Old timey or farm terms for an animal that has a hurt leg/paw and can't distribute weight on that limb.) We recently moved to the Coopers Creek area. We are retired professional horse breeders. Not the back yard type...which I respect ultimately...but, some country folks that spent 30 plus years breeding, maintaining a top notch small breeding facility. I spent many a day and night working with large animal vets....traveled with them on their trucks and scraped old paint from their clinics. We can deliver distocia foals, do ivs, suture and pretty much a lot of things not really familiar. Not chest thumping at all. Just a day in the life. We had exquisite small and large animal veterinary clinics in the Winder area. Theiy worked with us, unbelievably. They loved the fact that we could handle pretty much everything from routine vaccinations (large animals, not pets) to administration of antibiotics, IV fluids, delivering foals, etc.. When we retired and moved back to the mountains (I'm a dyed in the wool hillbilly that ventured off to the big city for my career in geology), our main concern was finding a vet clinic for our beloved doggos and cats. We sold our very successful horse breeding operation and farm and moved to our retirement home, back in my beloved mountains. I tried a clinic in Blairsville....not. good. All I was to them was a a replant with a checkbook. Blah, blah, blah. We had one of our Great Pyrenees (relocated farm dogs...now couch potato) come up lame. Long story short...he was a week overdue for his yearlies....a week. We were trying to spend the next month getting everyone on the same schedule. They refused to see him. Even though I said go ahead and get his mere week overdue full plate of shots done....just help him...he was in the front seat of my SUV, whimpering in obvious pain. Again...I take care of my animals...always have. Trying to sync up everyone's shots. It was an over pierced tech that refused him treatment. When I was arguing that my beloved pet needed treatment....the pierced thing saw the Chick-fil-A delivery car come in to the clinic with their f#%^=%%/ breakfast. She dismissed us immediately, I can only imagine to get a free biscuit from her employer. My head exploded. Hubby and I got on the phone and soon found Cohutta Animal Clinic. I made the trip down to Blue Ridge and the phenomenal staff at Cohutta, met me in the parking lot and within 30 minutes, Buckshot was diagnosed with an ouchy sprained wrist, treated and we were on our way home. Yup, they went ahead and vaccinated him....even though he was safely within the time frame. Fast forward until this past Friday morning. Buckshot is fine and terrorizing the local squirrels and field mice. But....another of our pack of three dogs....Angus the Yorkie....suddenly couldn't breathe. He was almost 13. I raced him to Cohutta Animal Clinic first thing Friday morning. He had a collapsing trachea. He had never shown any indication of that. He was a bigger, stout, healthy Yorkie until all of a sudden....he crashed and couldn't breathe. Dr. Orr met me in the parking lot immediately and raced him into critical care. Angus was fine one minute....then wasn't. Dr. Orr and her staff spent all day trying to revive him enough to get to a specialist for a trachea Stent implant. They never stopped trying to get him stabilized enough for emergency transport. It wasn't to be. Even with the entire staff working with him all day, in incredible devotion and professional knowledge, it was little Angus' time to cross the Rainbow Bridge. Angus was simply the best dog ever. And Dr. Orr and her staff did everything possible to save him and make his last hours as peaceful and comfortable as possible. I will NEVER forget their incredible compassion and kindness in one of the hardest times of our lives. God Bless Cohutta Animal Clinic. I have found my vet clinic.

At pickup I confronted them and said she didn't have fleas, you shouldn't have gave her anything and I wasn't paying for it. ($15 dollars) The owner proceeded to argue with me and said my husband authorize the meds, which was a lie. Then he said she had an infestation on her chin only. Not a flea anywhere else on the body. This is a10lb Yorkie, you would definitely see an infestation. I have 2 other dogs at home and we do NOT have any fleas. If one has them they all have them. After telling him (the owner) to get my dog I was finished discussing this he continued to harass me in the lobby. Very unprofessional and poor customer service. He might want to think about checking his EGO before he goes to work.
