I had prepared a chunk of the MSA myself, and my ex had also prepared a chunk of the MSA with her best friend's aunt who is a paralegal, but I knew that we needed to hire an experienced professional firm to ensure an expedited and flawless outcome. They delivered extremely quickly and seamlessly and accommodated our needs perfectly. My Legal Assistant found quite a few errors and important missing content in our preliminary drafts. The documents hit the courthouse and went right through without a hitch signed recorded and finalized. My takeaway from all of this was that when life gives you lemons it's not just about making lemonade it's about how you make it. Initially I left a glowing review for Gabriel, Wendy and team. I've amended it for several reasons. When the opposing party lawyered up, we did too. Our petition to the court was poorly written in regards to pertinent content, grammar and spelling. After I graded it like a high school essay, it was submitted to the court with an income subpoena. The income subpoena was served preemptively the first time, before the petition was filed! Then it was served incorrectly the second time and never resulted in documents. We paid more than $300 for that subpoena and received nothing. We chose O'Leary and Shenasan Law to take over, and thank God we did. They are an outstanding law firm. They actually cared about our case and interviewed us prior to agreeing to help. Once they did, they were lionesses. My Legal Assistants were not helpful at all after we hired professional counsel. Their communication continued to go downhill, and they were often abrupt and rude if we asked for updates. There were instances where we had to email 3-5 times over a matter of days to get a reply. We were never told that we could have walked our petition into the courthouse a block away. Instead we had to wait for 2 months after filing by mail to get a response. Every single document My Legal Assistants drafted was subpar and had to be completely redone in order to appropriately address the change in circumstance to seek a custody and support modification. We wasted $1500 by hiring this firm. We had a very successful outcome but only because O'Leary and Shenasan took over and fixed everything. If we had to do it over, we would have hired counsel right away. Our case went all the way to hearings and a small court battle. The process is no joke, and very complicated. I am grateful we put our case, and our child's future in the hands of caring professionals and grateful that our outcome was very positive as a result. read more

Gabriel helped me with my divorce. I had no property and nothing to separate as far as assets. My ex husband was also not going to respond so it was going to go through as default. The process should have been pretty easy but throughout the process and over the course of a year it was very difficult to get through to Gabriel and his assistant at the time was not helpful. When I got 100% physical and legal custody in the final judgment because my ex husband is a drug addict and abusive, Gabriel made a comment that he had never seen a judge give 100% to one parent before. I said it's a good thing, he proceeded to tell me that it's not a good thing because my son needs his dad. The comment was insensitive and ignorant given the fact that would be putting my son in danger. I did not hire Gabriel to be a judge of my situation, I hired him to fill out paperwork. I don't like leaving bad reviews for small businesses as I am an owner of one but the final straw was when I needed some copies of some my documents and he said that my files were probably already shredded because they were too old (7 months) and I needed to go to the courthouse to print them. I would have believed him had I not just spoken to his assistant who said she pulled them up and can have them ready for me. Terrible customer service! read more

Gabriel did an absolutely wonderful job with my divorce paper work and filing. I did the initial filing to start the divorce and the serving but was stuck after that. For several months in fact. I was confused with all the paper work and didn't know exactly what needed to be done. I went to My Legal Assistant after researching help outside of hiring an expensive attorney and found out about Gabriel. After our meeting, it took just about 2 months for my divorce to be finalized.
