My family uses another car service company, and I decided to go with My Limo after getting estimates. A lot of other companies quoted higher prices (some with gratuity and tax included, others with just base prices). My Limo's pricing was very enticing and I was afraid there would be hidden fees when I got the bill, but it was exactly as promised. Their service is sooo good! As a person who hates chatting on the phone, My Limo would send confirmation emails the day before pick up. Plus, the drivers would text you when they arrived. A major win in my books! They also have an app where you can book your reservations. The cars are roomy and seem relatively new. The car service I've used in the past had their leather seats peeling away. That's not the case with My Limo. Finally, the drivers are super friendly. Luis was very friendly and made small talk with us. Donald was amazing and was so patient with us since there were so much delays with getting off the plane and waiting to get luggage, plus the traffic at Newark was insane when he came to pick us up. I booked a private car through My Limo in East Hanover, NJ for a special night out in Manhattan -- a Michelin-star dinner that I had planned well in advance. Their website clearly advertises a limousine or Lincoln Town Car experience, so I expected something along those lines. Instead, a Tesla showed up at my door an hour and a half before our prepaid dinner reservation. While the driver was polite and professional and the ride itself was pleasant, the overall experience was not what I paid for. I was charged nearly $200 for what felt like a basic ride I could have booked on Uber for half the price. When I complained, the company told me this was "standard" because they outsource rides to third parties -- something I was never informed of beforehand. To make things worse, their idea of making it right was offering me 10% off the base rate -- a grand total of about nine dollars, which is less than what my latte costs me daily. That token gesture only underscored how little they value their customers' experience. For anyone expecting a true luxury or private car service, be aware that what's advertised may not be what you get. Transparency and honesty matter, especially at this price point. If you're looking for a reliable high-end experience, I've had much better service with EmpireCLS, who actually deliver what they promise. read more

I was quoted one price and because I had to check with with others traveling with me & didn't book at that time but called back the next day they wanted almost $300 more because I didn't book that that time. Horrible that they wouldn't honor the rate that I was quoted even though they admitted they listened to the phone call & confirmed what I was quoted. That's terrible service. They supplied, at moderate prices, airport pickups, limos for the wedding parties, home pickup of my parents, shuttle bus from the hotel and even our Rolls. We did have a small issue which was resolved by the owner himself. It's great to know that owners will invest their time. He truly went above and beyond and made everything better. We have referred another couple to use their services because of the great service. The drivers were all courteous. The vehicles were spotless. Horrendous! Driver was supposed to be on a loop from hotel to wedding reception and just stopped showing up at the hotel! We missed the whole cocktail hour and had to call a lyft!! If I could give no star I would! I used this company for transportation to JFK. Upon arrival our driver, Gene, said is was $280. While surprised by the cost we paid in full in cash. When we returned from our trip I contacted My Limo to inquire about the cost of transportation to JFK. I was told the trip cost $180. I explained what had happened and how our driver, Gene inflated the price. My Limo stayed that they did not believe me because Gene has been for some time and they have never had an issue. The next day he needed to make another trip to New Jersey so he called me to arrange a car. After gathering a few quotes, My Limo was the best price by far. The second pickup location was difficult and Jimmy was patient and persistent while we tracked down the rest of our group. The drop off in NYC was right in front of the museum. I used My Limousine Service for providing transportation for my wedding guests from Tarrytown, NY to the Bronx on Saturday, May 10th, 2014. They came highly recommended from a friend, so I was not worried about using a NJ based company for my NY travel arrangements. As graduations are coming up again, I reflect on the service I received from My Limo for my graduation. My school only allowed five tickets for entry into the commencement ceremony and I had about 15 guests who came from out of state. I needed to know what to do with them while I received my diploma so I booked the bus so they could tour New York. The driver picked most of my family up at my place in Jersey took them on a tour of some of the popular sights in Manhattan, picked up a couple family members who came over on the ferry and met back up with me at the Javits Center when I was finished. We then went to Little Italy for dinner and back to Jersey. Everyone commented on how helpful and friendly the driver was. Even waiting on my elderly stepfather to make multiple stops to the restroom. His connection times were on point down to the exact time our time was up. Booked a round trip bus to DC with a large group. The ride there was uneventful. At pickup time, once we found the bus, the driver informed us that the engine was smoking too much to make the 4 hour drive back to Brooklyn, and that the company was sending down another bus from Jersey with an eta of 9:10. The second bus arrived at around 10 o'clock. The belts were squeaking pretty loudly, which honestly would have been fine if that were the worst thing. I'm currently in the back of the bus. I dont feel safe on it at all. The driver keeps bouncing back and forth between lanes, hitting the rumble strips on the side of the highway and jerking the wheel back, etc. I'm worried he's gonna roll the bus. I dont think they should be driving buses with such poor mainxenance at highway speeds, if at all. Also, we're going to be arriving about 4 or 5 hours later than the original itinerary. read more

Since my first review was reported, I'll try to write something that won't fall outside of Yelp's content guidelines. The whole truth, unfortunately, isn't allowed. I wish there was a "0 STAR" rating. The unprofessionalism was almost unreal. We were guests for a wedding 4/23. The sign in the lobby told us to be there between 5:30-5:45 for pickup. We got down to the lobby around 5:35 with about 10-15 others waiting for the shuttle because the actual ceremony was at 6:30. 5:45 rolls around, no shuttle. 6:00 rolls around, no shuttle. Hotel front desk can't get a hold of driver. A group of girls decided to take their own cars to the wedding at this point and that left 6 of us. 6:15,no shuttle. I called the company, no answers. At this point, we realize that we are most definitely missing the actual ceremony. A nice lady at the hotel cleared out her car and offered to take all 6 of us there because we had no idea where this shuttle was. As soon as we got in the car with her, it shows up (630pm- exact time the vows were due to be exchanged) Then he decides, he's going to take 5 more min. and use the bathroom. When he comes out, I ask him what took him so long and reminded him that the wedding we are attending is happening NOW. HE decides he's going to throw his hands up at me and yell at me - - because he's late. So as not to get ourselves killed on the way, we try and not have words w/ this man and get on the bus. As SOON as we get on the bus.. the overwhelming smell of marijuana clued us all into WHY HE MAY have been 40 min. late in picking us up. We got the venue just as the ceremony ended.(we were told Oh its just the hemp seating we use that you smell. I've been on countless shuttles...never heard of a company stuffing their seats with hemp that smells identical to marijuana. lets call a spade a spade here) We ran into the girls who decided to drive from the hotel instead of wait for the shuttle and they told us how they saw him,our driver, parked on the side of the road on their way to the winery. So we can only assume..in between trips, he sat in his shuttle, did his thing with the "hemp seats" then came for us. Company has offered very, very little by way of rectifying and fixing their mistake for our friends. Just..bad business and probably not worth the stress. Go elsewhere. IF ANYONE IS PLANNING TO USE FOR A WEDDING, slowly back away & consider other options. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!!! I had booked a charter bus with this company for my wedding. The driver was supposed to make trips all night from the venue to the hotel. Instead, he was parked in the back of the parking lot- no where to be found!!! When approached, he was AWFUL and RUDE to my guests. He insisted that my 2 elderly grandmothers could not sit in the front seat and that he was NOT going to come back for any additional guests included myself, my in-laws and my new husband. He came in to my wedding and interrupted the event to tell me HE WASN'T COMING BACK to take us home! When I called the company after the event to see if they could compensate the charge, they were unresponsive (i had to initiate the phone calls each time- they never called me back) and they were not nice and inflexible. We just used my limo and they were EXCELLENT!! We had them pick us up and drop off. They sent us Thomas R. For pick up both ways . HE WAS EXCELLENT! We were a party of 6 with a lot of luggage. They gave us a roomy large van that was so clean !! We've had bad experiences with limo services too and from Newark Airport so we were worried. But not with My Limo.
