Plus free installation has to count for something. Totally happy. Until the estimate came. Maybe I didnt need memory foam padding? Could I get by with that nontexture office carpet? Maybe the stains in my current carpet arent THAT bad. But something told me to check good ol' trusty yelp. I sent one message, just one. In reply I got an up front estimate that beat hd by 1k bucks. Plus super quick service, an additional measure the next day and carpet installed 4 days later (including the weekend!). I had to sacrifice nothing....not the padding, not the warranty and not the style/quality. Everybody has complaints about install, right? I mean, there has to be a catch somewhere? It cant be this freakin easy and afforable. WRONG! The installer came at exactly the time I was told. I mean, to the minute and on the dot. He helped me disassemble a bed, cleaned up every little thing as he went and he even had some good, original jokes. You can just tell when someone not only enjoys what they do but also are really good at it...and this was the vibe i got from the installer. Im incredibly happy with this entire process. Thank god for Yelp and even moreso, thank god for ok coral carpet. If you're reading this...just do your wallet, home and feet a favor and call them.

I appreciate you addressing my questions and providing me with what I was asking. Jake who I setup the project with has been friendly and clearly busy. Most communication via email. He did visit as requested to confirm site measurements and speak with me in person. I appreciate the face to face, I like to know who I deal with and found this helpful. I have a higher education degree from this state and some property here. The weather is bipolar....the summers are hot. The winters are freezing cold. There is no in between. The air quality is not the best. With all the desert plants everywhere, you will have allergies you never knew you had. The driving, OMG the driving in this state could be its own trash TV show! A near collision every time you drive anywhere here! The snowbirds/blue-hairs in the winter....please flock somewhere else! People here love to hate on California and people from LA, but I've got news for you....I've never been around so many angry, irate, mad, mean, rude, and pushy people as I've been around in Arizona. Not to mention the amount of road rage incidents I've seen! What is with the on-ramps to these freeways being all left turns and double stoplights? No wonder there are so many wrong way drivers. Has anyone payed attention to the crime all over this state? Every day, multiple shootings, kidnappings, deceased bodies being found, murders, human trafficking, etc. It's also not cheap to live here! Groceries and basic things are the same prices here as in Los Angeles. Every plant growing here has a thorn on it and every bug bites, stings, or poisons you! After about a week here, I'm ready to leave. I visit often. I've been all over this state and seen tons of sights. Tried most of the food places. There are certain things here that are good: Ducth Bros, Andy's, Black Rock Coffee, Culver's, Egee's, and now Buc-ee's. However, this is not a place I could live full time. They've aged out of the soft play areas, but now they can spend hours at the stop motion video station and exploring the newer exhibits. The recycling area is also one of their favorites. It's such a quaint little space and incredibly affordable for what you get. I also love seeing downtown Mesa continue to grow, and the museum feels like a big part of that energy. From a parent perspective, it's really easy to visit. There's ample parking, it's very stroller and diaper bag friendly, and it's a perfect place for a playdate. You can actually have conversations while the kids explore and move between activities. The mural in the courtyard is gorgeous and the puppets are always a hit with my kids. It's one of those places we keep coming back to.

Over the years, it has been a major filming location for various Western films and has been preserved as an old Western town for the public to visit. The summer night markets have begun with free parking and admission. There are various vendors selling their crafts and food, and it's nice to be able to support a local establishment and vendors.

My wife and I were there for the Ostrich Festival which had recently moved from Tumbleweed Park to Rawhide at Wild Horse Pass. A very different footprint from the park, but the behind-the-scenes folks responsible for the festival did a fantastic job in the new location. Known for its concerts, the festival did not disappoint. Kansas, Vanilla Ice, Baby Bash, and The Commodores, among others. Smaller national bands and some local artists graced a smaller stage as well. Top notch entertainment was everywhere this year. Megan the Bubbleologist amazed with her bubbles, Mango and Dango added excitement with their music and dancing, the Cup Guy dazzled with his juggling skills, Off-Axis Stunt Shows were fantastic in three separate shows - BMX, trampoline, and diving. There was a magic show with Sean and Chanelle and their Model T car, live ostriches, a daily evening parade, STEM games, birds, and so much more to see. Already looking forward to next year's Ostrich Festival, held at Rawhide.

Rawhide hosts various events, including bull riding and concerts. For the Fever event, parking was free. For Ostrich Festival, pre-paid parking was $13 or $15 at the gate. You really have no other choice but to park in their lot given that it's basically out there on it's own in Chandler. It's about a 30-minute walk from Gila Casino. Rawhide is a "Western Town." While there isn't any historical context, Rawhide is made to look like an old Western town, dusty roads and saloon-style buildings included. The aesthetic is pretty cool. And it's spacious too. The logistics with the parking situation and getting your shoes dusty, not so much. Depending on the event, there might be vendors selling food, drinks, and more. While the vibe is cool, as the self-appointed king of events in Phoenix, I put this venue close to the end of the pecking order overall.

The maps appeared to be straight forward, though the trails were poorly marked, with many "trails" not actually being trails in the park. We ended up taking many wrong turns and getting turned around several times. While there were arrows long the trail, they were hard to interpret, especially when up to five trails were intersecting at one point. We did not stay on the trails we planned to hike, but still enjoyed a very beautiful hike that ended up coming out to 5.3 miles. I would recommend following along with the All Trails app if you plan to hike here to avoid going off-trail!

Came here as a novice with an experienced hiker. It was tough! She would say it's intermediate. I…read moreneeded tons of water and even an electrolyte packet. I brought 24oz water (novice mistake) but the electrolytes saved me. You'd need 32 oz for a hike like this if you didn't drink water before hand. It's 40 % incline, 30% decline and 20% flat. The flora and fauna are absolutely beautiful. Also the crowd here is very friendly and hospitable. The views were stellar. Me and my friend took our time so I could take sips of water intermittently/catch my breath. We finished in 3 hrs. It's just over 4 miles. Happy hiking!

4 stars and not less because of the staff…read more Parking: We did the mobile check in which was so convenient, but then we didn't know that we still had to get a parking pass from the front desk. We got stuck in the parking lot multiple times before finding that out. I tried to just pay for the ticket you get when you go in, but that didn't work. We got told many different mixed things about the best approach from different employees - some said to just hit the Help button and the gate will open which did work once, but the second time it actually called someone and they had to send someone down to physically override it. Then the front desk said parking is just free right now for guests, but then when they handed me the parking pass they said they were giving it to me for free because of the inconveniences we had with the parking. But a server at a restaurant also told us it's free right now for everyone. So not sure what to say on the crazy parking situation, other than be sure to get your pass at the front desk. Room service & pool view room type: Other than that mixup with the different stories from various staff members, we had nothing but great experiences with the rest of the employees here. I tipped the man who brought our room service extra because he was so kind (but the room service food was the worst food I've ever had in my life - not sure how you can mess up pizza and chicken noodle soup haha) and we were extremely disappointed that we had booked a pool view room but got one of the only rooms where the entire balcony view was blocked by a massive tree. But a man at the front desk (I think his name was Joey?) had the best customer service we have ever experienced. I walked up saying, "I don't want to be that person..." and he quickly reassured me saying, "no please do, I want to know what I can do to improve your stay" which was pretty amazing. He gave us some credit toward our stay since I didn't want to move rooms after unpacking. The room was extremely spacious, though, which was nice. The tv is strangely to the side of the bed and not in front of it, but maybe because you're supposed to sit on the chair to watch it. Great shower and they provide shower caps and other bathroom amenities. The bed was firm but pretty comfortable. Mini fridge but no microwave. No complaints on the room itself. Construction: We knew there was going to be construction, but we didn't know the entire lobby would be closed. No grand lobby, no cute coffee shop (they are serving coffee out of a hotel room though, and the coffee was delicious), and we went to the gift shop that they had in a different hotel room but I'm not sure that it had all the items they would normally have. I was mostly sad because they posted on social media about an ice cream cart not too long ago, and they already don't even have that anymore. Restaurants: We liked the breakfast buffet, although it's $85 after tax plus whatever you want to give for tip. It's definitely not a $100 worthy breakfast. But all the food here is extremely expensive. Every meal was at least $100. But we did have the most amazing servers at the breakfast buffet each day, and Janae was also AMAZING at Antidote which is a cute bar/restaurant right on the golf course. We never really had any food during the whole stay that I would classify as good, and especially not for the price, but it was all okay other than the room service pizza and soup. Even though it was such a hot day, the misters and the shade at Antidote made it nice to eat outside in the evening. The breakfast buffet was the exact same food both days in a row as well. Pools: I booked this resort because I was excited about the lazy river, but it was basically unusable. They barely had any pool floats, and when one would become available, they were all dirty and extremely deflated. I know they're going to be doing some kind of construction on the pools soon, but they shouldn't be completely neglecting it up until that point. There were also just so many kids jumping in and splashing and making the pool just not enjoyable at all (of course not the hotels fault) so we moved over the adults only pool and had a better experience. But that's just a regular pool, so it was kind of a bummer to not get to take advantage of the lazy river the way I hoped to. The servers came around often to offer food and drink, and they bring you an ice water as soon as you sit down which was so nice. Overall, we would stay again after the construction is done if we could get a decent price like we did with this stay. They were running a great promo. Maybe they should offer an exclusive discount to all the guests who came during the construction once it's over so that we can have a re-do experience. A staff member did tell me that they have new management that they love who empowers them to go out of their way to make the guest experience top notch, and it honestly shows and is what saved our stay.

I also thought it was a little strange that the coffee bar and gift shop were in guest rooms they converted. Lastly, when I went to pay my bill, I didn't appreciate that the purchases by the Pool weren't itemized. I feel like I was charged for things I didn't purchase. I need to request the itemized bill. The pool is fun. The shuttle service was convenient. Just not worth the money... it's not a luxury experience.
