Holy. Shit. What an absolutely insane experience. I went skydiving and got paired up with an instructor named Joel, and let me just say -- this guy is a total badass. From the second we geared up, he made me feel completely safe while also hyping me up like we were about to jump into a damn action movie. When we hit altitude and that door opened, my heart was pounding out of my chest. I looked at Joel and he just grinned like, "Let's f***ing do this." And then we were out. Free. Falling. The rush was unreal. The wind, the speed, the pure adrenaline -- it's the most alive I've ever felt. I was screaming, laughing, probably swearing my head off, and Joel was calm as hell, steering us through the sky like it was just another Sunday. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and the freefall felt like the longest, wildest roller coaster drop of my life. Then the parachute deployed smooth as hell, and suddenly everything went quiet and peaceful. We just floated there, taking in the view, and I couldn't stop saying, "This is so f***ing cool." Joel was professional, hilarious, confident, and made the whole thing unforgettable. If you're even thinking about skydiving -- stop overthinking it and just book it. Ask for Joel. You won't regret a damn thing. When the chute was open and we were approaching landing Joel taps me and said "look at the altimeter, you see that this is when we want to stop making big maneuvers and start slowing down, lucky for you I'm not a student and I'm the instructor." And then spun us into an insane spiral before jerking us up into a momentary weightlessness. It was exhilarating. To top it off, Joel also did a little spiritual/mindfulness/mentalization exercise midair. The dude made the experience not just adrenaline filled, but also made it into some type of therapy session with my heart rate in the 190's. Absolutely legendary fucking experience. Cassandra and Ethan at the front desk made it even better from check in to explaining everything. It was all around an amazing experience and they all are such great people. 10/10. This was my first time skydiving, and I have mixed feelings about the experience. The jump itself was absolutely incredible--truly unforgettable. The free fall alone made it worth doing. That said, everything leading up to the jump felt rushed and unorganized. We booked through Groupon and were immediately handed paperwork and weighed. I was surprised to be weighed about 10 lbs heavier than I had been just days prior (same with my friend), which resulted in additional charges. I understand weight-based pricing, but the discrepancy stood out. After check-in, we waited before getting harnessed. My friend got proper instruction from her instructor, but mine was still out jumping. I was told to listen in on someone else's instructions and that my instructor would go over things later--but that never really happened. We were moved to the loading area, and I still hadn't met my instructor. He showed up right before boarding and we went straight to the plane. At one point, instructors were arguing about gear in front of us, which didn't help the nerves before doing something this intense for the first time. The only real instruction I received was once we were already on the plane, which was loud and hard to follow. The experience in the air was amazing, but I can't help but feel like I would have been much more comfortable and prepared with better communication and organization beforehand. If this is standard, then maybe my expectations were off--but as a first-timer, I expected a bit more guidance. read more

This is the best place to learn to skydive! I did my first tandem with Jason Allison who made it fun and took great care to make sure I had a blast! I decided to get my license here because I knew I would get Individual attention from highly trained instructors with a huge emphasis on safety, and excellent management. Jon "JB" Butcher was my primary instructor, he taught me all the things I needed to know to be successful, reassured me after my failures, and encouraged me to grow in the sport. Now we're fun jumping together most weekends and it's awesome!! they have a bunch of rental rigs, a fun jumpers loft, student room, nice packing area, and a huge play yard for spectators and for entertainment while you're waiting out the weather! Year-round jumping being in Arizona, great community and family like atmosphere! I love spending all my spare time here. They even have a bunk house where you can stay in case you drove a long way and you wanna be there all weekend or across multiple days while you do your trainings. read more

Such a scary and fun experience, my first time skydiving. We got there around 9.30am to check in, signed a few forms, we were given instructions a few times just to go over the whole proved, we jumped around 11am. I had second thoughts when I was in the airplane since I had to jump first but my instructor Brad was so awesome and comforting. We jumped 13,000 feet height with a 45 second free fall. I paid extra $100 and something for outside video. I couldn't have a better instructor for a first time jumping. The landing was smooth and easy. Definitely a memorable experience! The whole process was easy and went very smoothly - our reservation was at 11:00 am, got there around 10:30 am, filled out paperwork, got weighed, the instructor explained the step by step in detail to ensure that I was comfortable. Edit - editing my review as the staff at Skydive Phoenix called my daughter to discuss the situation and apologize for the lack of communication. They went ahead and sent her a copy of her video and invited her back at a discount, which I appreciated. Thank you for reaching out and making things right. We came here for my daughter so her and my husband could jump for her birthday. My daughter's instructor was not very communicative at all with her although my husband's instructor was with him. My husband had paid extra for them to go higher so we were told they would be coming out after the rest of the people that were on the same plane. When my husband's instructor came to get him, he told me his parachute was pink and purple so to watch for it, and I would know that it was my husband coming down. When my daughter's instructor came and got her, I asked him what color his parachute was so I would be able to watch for it as well, and he told me mostly pink. Well, I ended up not being able to film my daughter coming in or landing as they ended up being the first ones out of the plane which we were not expecting, and both of their parachutes were totally different colors than what they had told us they would be. Therefore, I didn't even know it was them until my daughter had already landed and called out to me. When I made the comment that I was not able to get any pictures or video of her coming in or landing, my daughter's instructor responded that he got it all on his camera so if I wanted to purchase it, then I could. I felt this was very unprofessional. When we asked about the additional money that my husband had spent to have them go higher, we were told that the other group paid even more. All in all I think the communication was extremely lacking and I can't help but wonder (based upon my daughter's instructor making the comment that he did) if it may have been on purpose just to get us to purchase the video afterwards. All in all I thought that they didn't do a very good job of communicating and we were simply a piece on a conveyor belt and they already had their money. went with 2 friends to celebrate our landmark birthdays this year (not saying which bday because I don't want to admit I'm old). this place is awesome! everyone here is really fun and incredibly professional. they explained the process really well and made for an incredible memory. check-in took about 15 minutes of filling out paperwork and watching a safety video. after that, it was just a waiting game until they called us. once we got called in the person we were going to be hooked to put on our harness and went over the procedure. after that, it was about another 10-15 minutes until we went up. the whole thing took about 2.5 hrs, and it was well worth it! I'd easily recommend them to any family or friends (or even perfect strangers). shout out to John (video/photo) and Jason (dude that was my big spoon for the jump)! you both were amazing! read more

Wow the employees at this location are SO friendly and knowledgeable. I have been able to visit this location twice this year and both times everybody here has been so friendly! The drive is a little passed Maricopa but very easy to locate. You have to book your date and time prior though to be able to skydive. The process is fast and simple. You do have to sign some waivers and watch a video about what you are going to experience before your jump. The jump is beautiful and peaceful and they make sure that you feel safe and that you are safe! If your looking for the thrill of your lifetime visit these guys! I had such a great experience, this review's getting written. Everybody from the front desk to the parking lot was a pleasure to have crossed paths with. This was my first jump. My instructor, Ryan, had exemplary communication skills, was professional, and maintained a positive and relaxed demeanor throughout the whole experience. Lukas, who made sure to capture sick videos and photos, was hilarious, energetic, and generally fun to be around. Media was emailed on the same day as well and not for nothing, they played all the bangers in the waiting area which contributed to a great atmosphere. 10/10 would jump again. read more
