I'm the latter in this case, and as a grownup, I can say with confidence that My Locksmith is going to stay on my referral list. We closed on our new house, which was exciting enough, and one of the first things that needs to be done is to change the locks. My Locksmith gave me an upfront quote right away and we scheduled our appointment for later that evening. Simple as that! Our technician was prompt and professional. He came prepared with an assortment of options for what we needed. There were three doorknobs that had to be completely replaced and although we chose the cheaper option, the doorknobs are strong, secure, and even fit in with my ideas for decoration. We had all the doors and bolts keyed to the same key to make our lives easier. The whole process took a little over an hour from arrival to departure. My Locksmith takes cash or credit cards, so if you want to use cash, make sure you are prepared in advance - even though the quote is given to you, the final total might be more than you thought. Should we need the locks redone again, I'll definitely give My Locksmith another call. Needing a re-key can be an experience ranging from a minor inconvenience to an emergency that requires an immediate remedy. Regardless, it's stressful (and admittedly embarrassing). My Locksmith Rochester responded to my call with what I consider to be unmatched immediacy. I called for a car rekey at 2pm and was in my fully rekeyed car by 3pm. Wife lost key fob Monday. Contacted Garber Honda twice on Tuesday for them to replace. Both times told they'd get back to me. Never did. After family members of the previous tenant let themselves into our home when we were not there with an extra key they didn't admit to having AND removed property (that's called stealing, isn't it?) leaving us in fear for our safety, I contacted three locksmiths first thing the next morning. One never returned my plea for help, one responded via yelp (that's expeditious, isn't it?); the third one, Sharon of My Locksmith called within 5 minutes. Sharon arranged for Elmer to head out within an hour. I cannot say enough about Elmer. He explained our choices and installed three electronic keypad deadbolts within 90 minutes.
