The houses I stayed at through this company were decent homes. The first one we had a lot of issues with the hot tub service as well as the cleanliness of the home. The second house was only two years old and was great. The HOA absolutely sucked though and the neighbors thought letting their dogs crap in your yard was ok. The original office lady we dealt with I'd give a five star review. However the current lady is snarky and rude. Long story short if you're ok with houses being decent but crappy customer service this place isnt horrible. read more

Adorable cottage but terrible customer service. My husband and I rented a 2bdroom for 5weeks summer vacation ($2500) we arrived and it was 102 and were shocked there was no AC. (This was not disclosed anywhere in the ad) I called and texted every number (4:30pm weekday) NO ANSWER. I started to feel ill and our pug couldn't breathe or cool down. Luckily the best western took us. ($200+) We started calling and texting again at 8am. Around 11 someone responded by text a maintenance man would bring a fan. He never did. I asked to be put in another property. They said I could move to a 1bedroom cottage for another $600 plus other fees. I was shocked they wouldn't give at least some discount for our hotel expense! Although the place was half the size (and so small my husband had to sleep on the couch) we had no other choice unless we wanted to pay an insane amount for a hotel all summer. When my husband's mom became terminal we asked if we could stay in the property a few more days - it was available and we'd pay pro-rate and they said no! I had to give 30 days notice (what????) and that it was good for me but unfair to the owner. How is renting to me longer bad for the owner when now it'll just be empty and not making money??? Of course it took multiple calls and emails to get that rejection too. Miserable. We do these long rentals all over the west in summer and winter and have never experienced such terrible customer service and inexperience/inprofessionalism. I rented from several different property management companies while living in Bend and had many friends do so as well. Honestly, this is the only one I'm aware of that does things right. I was in my home for 18 months, and I have literally zero complaints. Everyone was fabulous to deal with, from the landscaping company they contract to the repair folks to the office folks. This was also during covid, and I appreciated their handling of things during that difficult time. The homeowners ultimately decided to sell during my second one-year lease, and I was amazed at how graciously my lucky house handled everything. My wife and I stayed here in a fully furnished month-long rental. First off, Bre and the team's transparent communication throughout our stay from booking to getting our full security deposit back was fantastic. Our unit had a washer/dryer in unit and the dryer wasn't able to be fixed during our month long stay due to covid & parts delay. We didn't mind this and the My Lucky House team provided an ample amount of quarters to use the on-site laundry service. In addition, we wanted to stay an extra night and they did not charge us for this night due to the inconvenience of the dryer, which was much appreciated. The location is very close (3 min drive) to multiple grocery stores (Whole Foods, Safeway, Costco), some good restaurants (Jackson's corner) and is about a 10 min drive to downtown Bend. The only reason this doesn't get 4 stars is that the building doesn't have great insulation and the neighbors can be heard if they are loud. Overall though a very solid 4 stars. Would stay here again if we needed a fully-furnished rental. read more

I had a really good experience with My Lucky House. I needed to find a short term place to live fast, and their month-to-month fully furnished rental fit the bill. I stayed in an apartment in Sienna Pointe. The apartment complex left a bit to be desired, but the apartment itself was perfectly acceptable. You definitely pay a premium for it being furnished and no lease, but it had everything I needed, including towels, bedding and kitchen stuff. I needed to be a few days late on one month's payment, and they were super nice and willing to work with me. I made the reservation for longer than I ended up staying--I gave them 30 days notice and they were totally fine with that. I ended up staying for about 3 months, and it was the perfect cushion to let me find a permanent rental I really liked. Within ten days of moving out I got my full deposit back, no problem. My only qualm was the WiFi was pretty slow at times, but I kind of think neighbors might have been using it as the password is easy to guess. read more

Needed a place to live while house being built was not going to be finished for 2-3 months and had sold our place in Sacramento Area. Bre & Staff got us a Furnished Apt on short notice and went the extra mile to make the move to Bend go smoothly. The Apt was beyond our expectations and we ended up staying in it for a week longer than 2 months. Pioneer Park Condos, Bend. Beyond disappointed. The contract says that the condo will be clean and in good repair. Our unit was really dirty. Lots of hair on the floor and ugly stains on the wall. The TV was broken; the clock didn't work. Our son had to do without sheets and a pillow. The torn condom wrapper on the floor by the bed that I didn't see until morning was completely creepy. When I complained, the owner of the management company comped us the cleaning fee, promised to move us for a couple of nights while our unit was cleaned. We packed up all of our things the next day and moved into the new space--which was just about as dirty as the last one. The owner wasn't as nice about things this time around. He did, however, say that he would let us out of the contract. With any luck we will be able to find something. I warn everyone to stay away from any properties managed by this business. Run! Do not walk away form this company. I hired this company to manage a rental house. When the tenants abused the property did they catch it? Nope. Over 1 year, I would drive by and see grass overgrown, bushes untrimmed and a camper (without pickup) parked in the front yard. My cute little house had become the eyesore if the neighborhood. Turns out the house was being subletted By the tenants. When said tenants moved out, the house was trashed and filthy. My Lucky House? Not with these guys managing it. read more

THIEVES!!! Don't expect to get your deposit returned. Another shady Bend rental agency that was also fairly incompetent when issues arise with their properties. My wife and I and two dogs lived in a house for two years. We paid $2300 a month. She is a professional and I'm the owner of two small businesses. Before leaving the house we moved all our furniture out so the place could be professional cleaned and the carpets steamed cleaned. We had the yard cleaned two weeks prior. We also steamed cleaned the carpets three other times throughout our rental period to keep the carpets in good shape. They took over $500 worth of our deposit for carpet cleaning, house cleaning, and yard clean up. We are taking them to small claims court, but we thought we should warn others. read more

No repairs I viewed a house recently and loved the location and layout. I noticed as I walked through the house though that there were grimy walls and holes in two of the rooms. Like someone had drilled and nailed things up. Some were pretty big and there were a lot of them, not just a few. There was also a big gouge in the drywall in one spot. I asked if those would be repaired and they said no. They wouldn't repair anything. Why would I move into an already damaged house? No thanks. What if something happened while I lived there and it needed repaired? I doubt they would follow up. The guy who showed me the place mentioned that the owner had moved out of state. She'll be sad to see the shape her house it in if she ever returns. read more

So we just got our deposit back from our old apartment (originally $2,000) the property manager charged us $425 for "removal of cigarette smoke" mind you neither Jacob or I smoke cigarettes(ew).However the maintenance workers used to smoke at the bottom of the stairs and leave their nasty cigarette butts all over the ground. $150 for replacing a screen door that was still there when we left... and a smoke alarm tampering fee of $250 when it was not tampered with at all..... and then because our move out day was the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and we were out of town and unable to turn our keys in and her office was closed she charged us an extra 3 days for $134. This is after the property manager Jewels promised she "does her very best to be fair and get everyone their money back". That was a lie. It seems to me this company is money hungry considering they upped the tiny 745square foot 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apartments up to over $1500, which is what I now pay for my 3 bedroom house. She also towed my car once for parking in an empty apartments parking spot for 30 minutes on my lunch break.(It cost me $250 to get it out of impound) Also, if you don't like noise, definitely do not move here because I had more than one neighbor who liked to rev their trucks up around 11pm every night for some odd reason. The large trash cans on site NEVER get emptied weekly so there's always nasty over flow which looks very "trashy" if you will. For the price we paid I felt like it was upon the most disgusting, disappointing places we have ever lived and we came to Bend because it was so nice. On top of it we hadn't even heard from her for the past month while waiting on our deposit? No "Hey, I'm going to have to charge you for this" nothing. With all of this being said, I highly recommend looking anywhere else but any of this companies properties. These were the Sienna Pointe Apartments. I hear the outlook apartments are extremely nice and around the same price range! They are also right underneath pilot butte and have a pool. read more
