As the new year is just around the corner so is a new look on My Magic World Daycare! With new management, There is a new approach to My Magic World Daycare. The teachers are warm and inviting and truly care about their little ones daily needs as well as looking into the future and preparing them for the next step. Curriculum is being updated and teachers are attending trainings and 1 on 1 assistance with their lesson plans. The four season porch is absolutely unique and something I have never seen in a daycare. The children are able to experience all elements without getting muddy and bit by mosquitoes. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important for other families to have a full picture of our experience. While many of the teachers at this daycare--especially Courtney, CC, Maria, Zuly, Yuly, and Lily--were truly wonderful and took excellent care of my children, there are serious issues with the way the center is run that parents should be aware of. There is a constant turnover in staff, largely due to how the owner treats her employees. Despite this, the staff who stayed did their best to provide consistent and loving care. Courtney, in particular, was an amazing director. She managed the center smoothly and went above and beyond for my son, who is autistic. I always felt safe leaving him in her care. That said, the way the center is operated raises serious concerns. During a heat wave, the AC was broken for several days, yet the center remained open. I chose to keep my children home for their safety and had to fight just to be reimbursed for those days. It felt like the children's wellbeing was not the priority--money was. There were also multiple occasions where EEC rules were not followed. One day, I stayed behind because the classroom would have been out of ratio if I had left, and I didn't feel comfortable leaving a teacher in that position, especially not with my child involved. The owner presents an image that everything is running perfectly, but the reality behind the scenes tells a very different story. I'm grateful for the incredible teachers my children had, but I cannot recommend this daycare due to the leadership and unsafe practices I witnessed. read more

The way the owner treats these teachers is APPALLING. Consistently expecting them to disregard the state regulations to accommodate how she 'thinks' a center should be run. She has facilitated: Teachers who have failed a background check alone in classrooms with children Unqualified teachers alone with children More than the state limit amount of children in a classroom. Teachers to take break without proper coverage, leaving 1 teacher alone with a full class. She is extremely old fashioned, and that is putting it nicely. I have witnessed her discipline teachers over medical needs, doctor's appointments, and time off requests. Her payroll checks often bounce back and teachers are left unpaid for several days at a time. She has taken teachers very serious medical conditions and made remarks that "if God wanted you to have 'condition', then that's his plan. (Paraphrasing) I would not recommend enrolling your child and supporting this abuse towards the teachers. read more

I'm sad that I have to write this, but this needs to be said so other parents don't experience the daycare anxiety we had to experience. Read the reviews and believe them when they say the owner doesn't treat people with respect. We trusted her when we enrolled our son. However, as time went on, my concerns were neglected and pushed aside, and I was told to "relax". The owner will tell you everything you want to hear in the initial tour, but her true colors eventually start to show. Our final straw was her lack of judgment when she chose to open the center when the AC was broken on a 97°degree day we recently had. The classrooms had reached 80° degrees, including the infant room. She chose to open the daycare because of money. If our kids weren't there, she wouldn't be paid. The Board of Health and EEC had to get involved, and she was forced to close until the AC was fixed. It clearly was not her fault that the AC had broken, but she should have known the daycare's environment that week was not safe for children, as temperatures were rising, and that was terrifying. I can take someone being rude to me and having a difference of opinion, but my child's safety is not something I will sacrifice. As far as the teachers and teacher's assistants go in the infant room, I cannot say ENOUGH good things about them. When we left, we all cried together. I knew my son was so loved by them after being there for only 2 months. This was the only thing that brought us peace when he dropped us off in the morning. The director, Courtney, had held it all together, and we are so thankful for her. I don't think we would have stayed as long as we did without her. Her staff deserves so much better; they are incredible, and we wish them the absolute best. Only giving two stars because of how wonderfully my son was treated by his teachers. read more

I was an employee for literally 3 days. still till this day have not recieved pay for those days, she opened the center with a broken ac and lied to parents. eec and the board of health had to get involved. sadly the eec licenser is her friend so she didn't get appropriate consequence. she disregards health issues of her employees and is super rude to all. the employees all told me their checks bounce almost every paychec and she doesn't follow eec regulations at all read more

The staff and teachers were very helpful, they were communicative and respectful....... the owner gergina was not respectfil. she was rude towards parents -- and even some of the teachers, i saw myself. The teachers you can trust with your children. but the owner will make you question everything--- cuz i know i did ..!! she was not made for this job. read more

My kiddo loves this place and they have taken excellent care of our family. The director works so hard to make this a warm and loving environment for kids to learn and grow. The building has the setup of a center but is small enough to have a home daycare feel. Space was available and affordable when we were in desperate need of childcare. There are always exciting events going on for the kids, and Spanish lessons every week. A great local daycare! read more

-We absolutely love Ms. Gina at My Magic World Daycare and I can not say ENOUGH GREAT things about this establishment. We started with Ms. Gina back in 2020 at the height of the COVID pandemic, it was a hard time for all of us, but we immediately felt comfortable with the attention and care Ms. Gina gave to our two children. From the second you walk through the door you can tell that Ms. Gina gives 100% to loving and caring for our children. You can feel her love and there was never any doubt in my mind that my children were well looked after. She truly makes her house a second home for the kids under her care. -The walls at My Magic World are brightly colored with educational materials clearly meant for children. Toys are neat and organized. My kids come home every day with pictures that they've colored, cut or painted. There is always a theme to the day which overarches into the week and month. Ms. Gina puts a lot of effort not just into loving our children and making them feel comfortable, but also into teaching them. They learned many life skills including reading, writing and learning how to clean up after themselves. One of the best things about Ms. Gina and My Magic World is the "Spanish Thursday" theme where every Thursday our children learn Spanish. I was amazed to hear them recognize the language outside of Ms. Gina's house and know where/how to speak in Spanish (assuming someone spoke to them in the language). Also I do want to mention that in the 2+ years we were with Ms. Gina, never once did either of my children come home with any sort of diaper rash or diaper area concern. This is more than I can say for my own personal parenting, and I was always amazed at her ability to -keep my kids clean and mess-free! -Ms. Gina is also a great communicator and was very open about any normal concerns about my kids. If someone had a good day, she would tell me. And if someone was a little tired or angry she would explain what she thought was bothering my two year old/three year old and provide solutions on how to handle it. Ms. Gina is particularly fantastic about celebrations with the Children and we always had a special party for our kids birthdays. She would put the extra effort into throwing a birthday party, Christmas or even Fourth of July day party. It really made my kids feel special, and it was nice to be able to celebrate the birthdays of their other friends at Ms. Gina's too. It made all of the families at My Magic World feel close to each other and feel like actual family/cousins. -In closing, it is because of Ms. Gina that my husband and I were able to have peace during the day knowing that our kids were happy, healthy, learning and feeling fulfilled while they were over Ms. Gina's house. We trust and love Ms. Gina just like she loves and supports all of the children at My Magic World Daycare. We love you Ms. Gina. Thank you for everything!!! read more
