The teachers are warm and inviting and truly care about their little ones daily needs as well as looking into the future and preparing them for the next step. Curriculum is being updated and teachers are attending trainings and 1 on 1 assistance with their lesson plans. The four season porch is absolutely unique and something I have never seen in a daycare. The children are able to experience all elements without getting muddy and bit by mosquitoes. "Red flags" galore I…read morecan't comment on how the children are taken care of but I can comment on how unprofessional the staff is. My husband and I viewed this daycare two months before our daughter was born. It was our second choice but we met with management and staff and felt at ease. We were confident this would be a good place for our daughter when I returned to work when she was 3 months old. We paid our check and put in the enrollment paperwork and were told we had a spot. 3 weeks before I was set to start work I called to schedule a time to come by with her to get her acclimated. The assistant director told me they had no record of her and no spots available for when she was supposed to start. How does this happen? Apparently after we paid they changed the director and assistant director and lost a bunch of records about who they had promised spots to. This isn't even the part that bothers me. NO ONE ever apologized for the mistake. They told me they'd call me back by the end of that week with a solution (hiring more teachers, etc). Do you think I ever heard back from them? Nope. They even confirmed they had our check and paperwork. The assistant director told me, "I don't know who would have told you you had a spot so far in advance. This isn't the way the world works." Thankfully I got my "red flag" about this place early and my daughter will be starting daycare at a place that is more organized and professional. Today I called to tell them I was coming by to pick up my check. Again no apology about how unprofessional this was, no apology for not calling back ever. They had my check with contact information on it for 5 months without thinking to call and ask why I had paid the exact amount of a deposit. If this place treats the children even half as bad as they treated us, it should be shut down.

Our children were having a difficult moment, which happens at this age, and instead of feeling supported, we felt scrutinized. At one point, one of our children was corrected harshly during a normal toddler interaction, and it felt less like guidance and more like shame. That was hard to witness as a parent. We were also surprised by how structured and controlled the environment felt. The children's activities were referred to as "jobs," and there seemed to be very little room for imagination, creativity, or exploration. During the observation portion, children who simply appeared energetic and playful were described negatively, which was concerning to us. Childhood should include movement, curiosity, mistakes, and learning through connection, not just compliance. What impacted us most was the disconnect between the school's emphasis on empathy and the experience we actually had. We shared honestly about how overwhelming parenting can sometimes feel and how difficult these tours are with young children, hoping for understanding. Instead, the response felt dismissive and lacking compassion. We respect that every family is looking for something different in a school environment. For our family, we are seeking a place that balances structure with warmth, emotional safety, creativity, and realistic expectations for young children. Unfortunately, this experience did not align with those values. My advice to the teacher and director- next time you give a tour be more inviting and kind. At the time, my child was 6 months so there's absolutely no way she could have done that. Then I realized she was sleeping a lot more and upon questioning of the staff, they gave my infant NIGHT TIME teething tablets which really upset me. The final straw for me was when they left my daughter to cry for 20 minutes claiming she's "spoiled" where another parent had to come inform me of the neglect. I had to not only remove my child but also contact OEC. Go on the 211 website you'll see the report. They had staff who were inexperienced with childcare handling my child along with having small babies with older toddlers. I just did not feel as if my child was safe and that's why I removed her. She's at a much more safer daycare with cameras.
