Well, after a short break, I decided to buy another Volkswagen! If you're a VW fan like I am, then I'm sure you know the headache of finding a reputable mechanic, especially one that won't flatten your wallet too much... After 3 (failed) attempts and a drained savings account, a local auto parts store recommended this place. I decided to check it out, and I was NOT disappointed! These guys are VERY thorough - In fact, CarGeeks Automotive would be a better name for them. They are ASE certified (for those who care), and extremely detail orientated. Not only are their invoices computerized and easy to read, they show you before and after pictures of every service performed (for those of you who need that extra peace of mind boost)! All-in-all, the prices are reasonable, the repair time is prompt, and the level of customer service is unprecedented. Kirk helped me with four major problems over the last three years. The first two had to do with the emmissions control system on a nissan xterra which had the check engine light illuminated with multiple fault codes. He troubleshot the problem accurately the first time replacing a knock sensor and gas vapor sensor resolving an issue that had stumped two repair centers (one of which was the dealer) prior. The third had to do with abs brake malfunction where he accurately predicted which wheel sensor was causing the whole system to malfunction where the prior garage wanted to replace all four. On my 1991 BMW convertible Kirk troubleshot the a/c system and replaced the compressor. Overall I find Kirk consistent, competent, prepared and efficient and will definitely keep doing business with him. read more

Kirk is amazing. I had a 1999 Honda Accord that just would not start. I tried all the things I can think of and finally left it up to a professional. Kirk was able to narrow down from what I had fixed the probable causes left over. Once we ruled out the three main things Kirk said it could be a exhaust problem so he took off my O2 sensor and sure enough she started right up. A clogged catalytic converter. Kirk did a great job checking on what I thought was an oil leak on my 2013 BMW M3. It turns out it was excess oil from whoever performed the previous oil change on this car (I got this car used) who didn't know what they were doing and it collected in the undertray pan then eventually seeped out. Luckily Kirk confirmed I didn't have an actual leak and he even cleaned out the pan and other internals of the excess oil. Kirk will even install a new pan when the part comes in since there were holes in the existing pan from which the oil seeped out. He also suggested what should be the next areas to work on after that because he noticed some other potential problems I wasn't aware of.
