We adopted a BEAUTIFUL, well behaved little boy from this organization. Michelle works VERY hard to find these dogs loving homes.

Sweet Yorkie Kisses - DNA Results from the Vet. NOT A PURE BRED Yorkie.

    Sweet Yorkie Kisses

This review should be zero stars but it's not possible in Yelp…read more I purchased a puppy from Melissa in September 2019. She falsely portrayed the puppy as a FULL BRED Yorkie. I should have known better because she would not allow me into her house to see the living conditions and we could smell the inside of her house from her front door and it was disgusting, smelling like a foul puppy mill. However, she promised to provide registration papers, proving the puppy was FULL BRED. But the papers never arrived after about 30-40 requests for them, lasting over a one year period. She initially tried to sell the puppy to me for $2800, which I refused. I asked to see the parents and she showed us a Yorkie that she claimed was the Mother but she said she couldn't show us the Father because he had allegedly passed away recently. She was insistent that she'd provide the registration papers and it was stated that she would in the contract so I agreed to pay $1800.00 for the puppy. Unfortunately, I was deceived by Melissa that it was a PURE BRED Yorkie. Once we got the puppy home and enrolled in a veterinarian maintenance program, the company offered a free DNA test, which revealed that the puppy was only 50% Yorkie (see picture). Melissa continued to promise the registration papers proving the puppy was FULL BRED but she never provided them to me. She continued to lie and make up stories about how she was getting the papers. I sent her numerous emails and text messages but she would just stall and stall with a million excuses why it was taking so long. I sued her in Small Claims Court for Breach of Contract and won a judgement (Riverside Superior Court-Case# SCSW2000388). She refused to pay the judgment so I took her to court again to provide proof of assets, and she didn't show up, which results in an automatic loss for her and a $1000.00 Bench Warrant. I submitted the case to a collection agency and she has still refused to pay. I'm not concerned because I will get my money back but in the meantime, my hope is that the public is aware of this criminal so she does not repeat this crime against anyone else. Melissa is a dishonest business person. She has lost previously in Small Claims Court to another person she ripped off, it is searchable in Google (See Picture). She tries to avoid looking like a dishonest business by changing her business name repeatedly, however, the bad reviews continue to follow her. She used to call her business Yorkie Baby Dolls and Sweet Yorkie Kisses. It was also called Furever Puppies. She does this to try and get a "fresh start" from all her horrible reviews and to escape her horrible reputation. Her website claimed to be "honored and verified" by the United Online Pure Breeders" but this is a bogus organization and she isn't even listed on the bogus site. The phone number to the organization is not a working number either. She also boasted on her website that she provides a pet quality guarantee with AKC limited registration. Melissa violates Article 64 (h) of the Animal Pedigree Act when she does this. If you are looking for an honorable breeder, Melissa is not a viable option. She also claims to be a religious person, quoting scripture and acting like a righteous business person throughout her interactions. But when confronted with her criminal behavior, she turns into a wicked person who will just accuse you of harassment. Stay away from this business and this woman, she is out for one thing and one thing only, quick money.

Mindy provided a very personable, warm and extremely responsive service, made every effort to respond to my inquiry on Adopt-A-Pet and approving my application as well as just answering my questions and chatting with me about my potential cat baby's personality traits and his background story. She responded to emails as late as 11PM on a weekend and her demeanor was always welcoming and reassuring, like an old, caring friend. Mindy's words and actions convey that she truly truly love all of her rescued cat babies and she only wants what's best for them and she works extremely hard to find them good homes. I was very sad that neither cat babies from her rescue matched the particular personality I was looking for (I was trying to fill this big hole in my heart with the tragic loss of a stray cat named Cookie I cared for) and I really wished that given all the hard work she and her daughter put into, I'd adopt either Teddy or Khabib. Despite these big, affectionate sweet boys were not the best match I was searching for, I don't think any less of them, I sincerely hope they will find their forever home they deserve and I cannot be more grateful for Mindy's time, patience and understanding she's extended me and my family. If I had more capacity for an additional cat baby in the future after finding THE ONE, Mindy and her rescue is the first place I'd check out. If you are also searching for your feline soulmate, please look no further!!

Both myself and my daughter…read morecalled, (the "are too busy to care for kitties AND answer the phone, so please send a text"), so we texted, created an account online (because they want to know you're "actually serious" about adopting before you can even MEET the cat you're considering adopting.) (I do understand and respect prioritizing the mental health of the cats, but I'm sure the cats, especially the adults, would prefer a compromise, like being required to fill out a one page form on the spot before meeting). Every serious adopter that goes into a pet store and sees one of this organization's animals that they are interested in adopting and is told they have to go through this and this and this step before they can even interact with the cat and know if the personality is a fit. Everyone loses out. In my experience, even if you do go through all the steps, they won't call you back, and a cat that could have had a home I know had that opportunity taken from them because of the seemingly righteous or superior attitude of the rescue people. They surely know how many people go in and out of those cat and kitten rooms at the Animal Friends of the Valley shelter. Having a few people go in one at a time to meet one particular cat, I don't feel, is any more dangerous or unhealthy for the cat than them losing the opportunity to be adopted and eventually being put down. I just don't understand rescues like this. If you're too small to actually help, then let somebody else do it.

He is everything we were looking for in a puppy: healthy, smart, sweet, playful, loving, and very happy. I am giving Cherie 4/5 stars due to the following: 1. She was not been the best communicator before we purchased our fur baby. Her website says that the best way to contact her is via text, but before securing our puppy, she would take a long time to answer our questions or simply not answer our text messages in the amount of time she said she would. Once our puppy was selected and paid for, Cherie answered all our questions and sent us pictures whenever we requested them. 2. We paid $1K and our puppy was projected to be 4-5lbs max, but he is already 6lbs at 4 months. My husband & I do not care about his size too much, so this did not bother us as much and we are not looking for a partial refund, but I could see why this would upset customers who were expecting a very small dog. We asked Cherie how much he weighed when we picked him up and she said "about 1lb." we weighed him when we got home and he was actually 2.4lbs at 8 weeks, so we knew he was not going to be 5lbs max. Obviously, there's always a risk when purchasing a living creature because there is no way to know %100 everything about their health, personality, etc. With that said, I do believe good business practices are important and I am sorry to read that others are not happy with their situations. Cherie probably needs to outline her policies in black/white regarding health guarantees and refund policies. I would still recommend her to friends/family because 90% of our experience has been amazing.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!…read more I have been patient in looking to add a kitten/cat to our family and stumbled across Marigold on a fosters Instagram page which prompted me to submit an application. Kat reached out the very next day after reviewing our application and pre approved us. Yelena reached out for all coordination afterwards. Marigold was not even posted on the rescues page but they were so kind and were able to get us in to meet her. The foster mom (and dad) were wonderful and have been doing this for so long (60+ kitties). We instantly fell in love with Marigold and were able to be selected to adopt her (pat on our back for being able to provide a good home). She came from a hoarder home and was lucky to survive from malnutrition. We came back to get her after getting she completed her shots/spayed. Not even 24 hours in, my one year old tabby loves her and she is settling in perfectly. I will say I have had not so great experiences with other rescues in the area and Dirty Little Paws surpassed all expectations! I hope one day I can repay them and foster another baby in need.
