    Spooky my cat

Kat from dirty paws reached out to me when I was desperate and had no funds and needed some help with wash and churros to help my cat be able to swallow his medication. I was not able to get anything in my cat and it was so frustrating and he could not get better, that's when she suggested using the churro flavored paste for cats. And she always wash able to help me with a wash for my cats ringworm. I'm very appreciative of Dirty Little Paws because if they hadn't contacted me and been so kind I don't know what I would have done.

The foster home for our new family member has got to be the very best around!!! Our new baby boy didn't meow once his entire time in our home when he first came! He is super friendly, lets us push out his claws on all feet, inspect his ears, anything we might need to do, purring all the while. This does not happen by accident. This foster family gave us the result of love and caring in his first weeks of life. That is priceless! Dirty Little Paws Rescue was easy to connect with, all paperwork was on-line and easy to fill out and submit. The adoption fee of $200 is standard, and a good deal as it includes all the vet visits, neuter/spay costs, micro-chipping, and a free follow-up vet visit after adoption! We are so very happy with our experience and easily recommend without reservation.

Dirty Little Paws is a fantastic organization to find your furever pet! After I lost my cat of 17 years, it was hard for me to imagine finding another animal who I could love as much as I loved Bowie but they worked with me to help me find the perfect companion. They were so patient, informative and responsive with me as I inquired about different cats. You can truly tell that everyone who is part of their organization is so passionate about animals and making sure that each one has an opportunity to thrive in its perfect home. Not to mention that they also dedicate their time to ensuring the cats who are still on the street are neutered/spayed AND fed weekly. I will be forever grateful to Dirty Little Paws for introducing me to my little lover Stevie! He is such a doll and brings so much joy to my life every single day.

I now have two cats from DLP and this has been such a great experience from beginning to now. The process is easy and the cats come from vetted, loving fosters. Adoption fee is minimal for getting a healthy, spayed, and vaccinated cat. All the follow-up is very heartwarming, too.

If I could give more than 5 stars I would! This rescue is amazing. On Mother's Day a feral momma that we were feeding brought her litter of 6 to our shed. When the kittens were old enough to be weened, we trapped mamma , got her spayed and brought the babies inside. We wanted to foster this litter ourselves because we felt invested at this point, but finding a rescue that would help us foster a litter we already had was difficult (most didn't even call us back). Yelena and the Dirty Little Paws team were not only willing to help us , they were very communicative, guided us through the process the whole time and found these babies the most amazing furrever homes. I'm so thankful for this experience What they do changes lives for cats and people alike.

Added to the family with Dirty Little Paws and was so impressed with the experience. They were extremely quick to respond, kind, and helpful. They worked with me to make sure I found the right Kitty and when I was ready to pull the trigger, made it happen. She is also spayed and up to date on all her vaccines - the adoption fee was well worth it as the costs would be much higher to do all of this myself. I am so excited to have this beautiful girl as part of my family. I would 100% adopt here again.

We adopted our lovable cat from Dirty Little Paws. We've never owned a cat before but we knew we wanted a new addition to our family. I ran across Dirty Little Paws and they were amazing. We were interested in adopting Skye and had a lot of questions. They were quick to get back to us, they answered all my questions and got me in contact with the foster family. We met our cat and instantly fell in love with her. We've had her for a week now and it's been nothing but joy. Thank you for Dirty Little Paws for their amazing service and help. I would definitely recommend them if you are looking to adopt a cat.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! I can't say enough good things about this rescue! A few weeks ago, I was on their website and found Spike. I contacted them and brought him home a few days later. He fits in perfectly!! Dirty Little Paws Rescue is the best rescue center ever! Thank you DLP for all 3 of our tuxies!

The cuteness settling in to her forever home

The best cat rescue in the whole wide world!!! From my initial inquiry all the way to taking my new best friend home everyone involved was timely, professional and truly genuine. You can really tell how much they care. It was very low pressure, which I appreciated. They alleviated a lot of fear of the unknown, mainly wondering if my senior cat and new kitten would get along, because DLP is there to be a support system post adoption to help with any issues that might arise. Thankfully they were fast friends with no problems - but it was nice knowing that DLP is deeply invested in positive outcomes for every single fur baby they adopt out forever and not just up until you sign the paperwork. I would highly recommend this organization, the entire experience was A+

I have followed DLP on Instagram for over a year in hopes of one day adopting a second cat. After time and consideration, we connected with DLP after coming across a sweet girl on their Instagram. From the moment we submitted the application to taking her home, they were so helpful and truly cared about the wellbeing of the cat! All vaccines, microchipping, spays, and vet visits prior to adoption are covered by the adoption fees. We had an incredible experience and I would definitely recommend adopting from DLP!

    Adopted 8-month-old bonded pair

When looking to adopt a cat, I tried the usual things such as shelters and cat cafes. This wasn't working out too well because it was hard to get a true sense of the cats in these environments. I wanted a match -- a cat that picked me as much as I picked her. I learned about Dirty Little Paws from a foster I had met, and so I checked out the cats they had available for adoption using PetFinder. I was looking for a bonded pair and was really impressed when I received a message back so soon after submitting an application. The owner, Kat, called me and during that conversation told me that the pair I picked wasn't right for me but she had two other pairs that would be much better. Her ability to figure this out with the information I put on the application was amazing!! Fast forward a few days when I went to meet the first pair -- she was absolutely right. It was the perfect match. Kat was very thorough when interviewing me, asking hard but important questions. I was super impressed by her. I was also really impressed with the foster and adoption coordinator, Lena, who made it super easy to meet the cats at the foster home, and made the adoption process fun and effortless. The person fostering was another wonderful person, and I'm still in touch with her sharing photos of the kitties, and chatting about the cats she is fostering now. It is like I found a supportive community vs just picking out a cat and driving home. I cannot say enough -- Dirty Little Paws has all the resources you need to have a successful adoption, including post-adoption follow up and support. I recommend this business 100%.

I gave this organization 5 stars because of how compassionate they are and how much care they have for their cats! They really do their best to ensure that the kitties find the right home. I recently adopted an orange kitten from them and I am so in love with her. She's so sweet and lovely, I am grateful for this organization-- they even accept adopters who live far away from them. I drove 2 hours to pick my kitten up and they were accommodating on the date and time. Please support them

Let me tell you my story as an 8 year supporter of lcal. We adopted our first dog (a boxer) through the founder, lisa (who is an absolute angel) in 2016. We loved our dog deeply until she passed away in 2022. When she passed, I started volunteering weekly with the rescue, walking dogs, trying to fill the void that my dog's passing left. I learned more about rescue and started fostering dogs through lcal. We took 4 foster dogs from intake through adoption, one of the fosters staying with us for 6 months! I also attended adoption events with these fosters, donating hundreds of hours promoting the rescue. I attended fund raisers, donated supplies and cash, and supported the lcal thrift store. I was invested in the mission. In December, I told the foster coordinator that we are looking for a dog to permanently add to the family, ideally a boxer between the ages of 2-5. I would send her listings from shelters, and she would explain why each dog was not going to work for lcal to pull for me. I appreciated her advice and was waiting patiently for a right fit. When she texted last week asking me to foster a boxer, Tyson, I was overjoyed! I expressed to her that we would love to and that we would hopefully adopt Tyson. Unfortunately lcal decided to advertise him on social media the next day and quickly got multiple applications from well vetted adopters. We were told on a Sunday (after having tyson for 4 days) that we needed to decide by Monday if we wanted to adopt. Otherwise he would go to a meet and greet on Wednesday and likely be adopted. On Monday evening, I texted the foster coordinator telling her that I had some questions about the adoption. She did not get back to me until Tuesday morning. We discussed my concerns (we have 4 cats and I ideally wanted more time to see how Tyson would interact with them) but I clearly told her we wanted to keep Tyson. She said she would ask the board for more time. Later that afternoon, I was told that because I wasn't sure, they were moving forward with the other adoption and I was no longer eligible to adopt Tyson. I was in shock. I responded that I wanted the dog and that I had put aside any uncertainty and please can we adopt Tyson. I was told no and that they would immediately come pick him up wherever I was. The lcal president contacted me and was so over the top harsh and rude, I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. My family is heartbroken. Just as we were bonding with what was likely the perfect dog for our family, he was forcibly taken away. Shame on you lcal. You've put deadlines and policy above what is best in complex situations. I understand the reasons for your policy, but you refused to have even the slightest flexibility for a long time supporter. You wouldn't even give me a few hours to get my questions answered before moving on to the other adopter who hadn't even met Tyson. You are burning your fosters, the very backbone of your organization.

We were there going back and forth between a few dogs before we finally came to a consensus as a family, but we honestly wanted all three! Fees were straight forward, current vaccines, microchipped, and fixed was completely worth it. The paperwork was quick and painless as well. The only downfall is that it is on base and kind of hidden, we had a hard time finding it even with the GPS. The other thing was that even though her paperwork said her stitches were removed a couple weeks prior, it actually was not. Only reason I didn't dock any stars is because the vet we took her to did it for free and I'm hoping it was just an issue of miscommunication. All in all, we would recommend this place to anyone looking to rescue!

I come from a military family already, I've done moves with multiple dogs and my siblings and yes it can be hard but I've experienced it before and I tried to explain that but she kept persisting. After that she was talking about how the puppy I was inquiring about was so small and she was worried about my dog injuring it, my dog is the sweetest and he's very polite to other dogs he meets considering his energetic breed (we make sure he is not overly energetic by exercising him and keeping his brain occupied with the frozen Kong treats and deer antlers because he is a big chewer). I am not happy with the service I received and in the future I hope that the lady helped me can fix her attitude when talking to potential customers. I will be looking at other shelters and rescues that will hopefully have better representatives of the business.
