Took my daughter to an event there during spring break. I am very disappointed and heart broken that this had to happen. My daughter ended up getting lice from this place. This was the only place that came in contact to her hair. Since they did a "make over" on her. Now we are dealing with this issue. I called her a couple months before the party and she set everything up. I never felt pressured to add extra princesses etc. She was lovely. Wow. Wow. Wow. This place went above and beyond for my daughters 5th frozen themed birthday party. I would like to express how professional Melissa was when booking. She was very kind and although they offer a wide variety of things that can completely personalize your party -- she never pushed any of those services on me. I felt like she appreciated my business no matter what package I chose. She did strive to make it a wonderful experience for my family. I would like to mention Jamie (I hope I remember her name correctly) was also a very great hostess and was spectacular to all of my guests and I appreciated her help. I didn't know what to expect really. I originally thought "well hopefully their Anna and Elsa can convince my die hard frozen fan." Listen, we've been to Disney World twice. My daughter has seen the movie at least 8 times a day for 2 years. And as soon as they entered -- I started to cry because my daughter was starstruck. Their Elsa and Anna blew Disney out of the water. Not only did they do everything from paint my guests nails, to belt out Frozen songs amazingly well, danced with the children, told them stories, but "Elsa" and "Anna" served my guests pizza and cake without hesitation. They answered all of the girls questions with witty answers. They had the girls in tears when they left because the girls didn't want them to leave. My daughter even commented that "Elsa had her purple eye makeup!" No detail went unnoticed with these two performers. I recommend My Party Princess 150% to any parent who is incredibly busy and has a little Disney fanatic on their hands with a birthday coming up. I did not have to lift a finger today. I did not have to do a single thing but show up and take pictures of my daughter with all of her friends. And they made sure everything was easy and stress free. We had been meaning to check this place out for quite awhile. I had inquired on doing my 9-year old's birthday party here, but the prices were astronomical so when I saw a groupon offered for open play I snatched it up. They are offering open-play on Wednesdays only for $20/child and my groupon was B1G1 so we paid $20 for 2 kids. Sweet! As soon as we got there, my kids were just mesmerized by the décor. It is absolutely adorable! I would love for the owners to come and decorate my kids' rooms. So the first thing we did was get dressed. There are probably 100+ outfits to pick from complete with shoes, wands, and tiaras. Make sure to bring a leotard or something of the sort to wear since it is an open area for changing. After my kids were dressed, they got their hair done--huge bun type of updo complete with tiara and glitter. Then they got makeup done and nails painted. After that, you had the option of doing karaoke and/or coloring. Even though my kids sing all the time at home, they were too shy to do the karaoke so they colored for awhile. Then they headed back into the area with dresses and started trying on more dresses. They played dress-up for quite awhile. I could easily have seen us spending 2+ hours here, but the store was closing and it was time to go. read more

I do not have kids of my own but try to take a niece or nephew for a weekend every year to maintain my favorite aunt status. :) This year I took 2 nieces, ages 6 and 8, and tried to come up with ways to entertain them for a whole weekend. This place was absolutely perfect! Melissa was responsive to my multiple emails questioning if I could get a weekend playdate for my girls, and she came through with an hour of playtime for them on a Sunday in July. The look on their faces when they saw the décor was priceless. Every inch is super girly with lots of stuff to look at. The girls had a great time dressing up like rock stars (which they chose over princesses, which surprised me), getting their hair and makeup done, doing a word search, singing karaoke and snacking on juice and pretzels. They had the place to themselves and the woman Jamie who was there for them was so great, getting the girls to open up and have fun rather than act like the shy kids they were pretending to be. My weekend drop-in seemed to be an exception, and I sincerely thank the ladies at My Party Princess for making it happen since I only had the girls for 2 days. I would suggest, however, to do the Wednesday drop-ins if you aren't springing for a party. Although they won't have the place to themselves, they get 4 hours and the appearance of a princess for the same price I paid for an hour, no princess. Way better value and probably much more costume changes which the girls would have loved. I wish the place was closer than where they live in the south suburbs so they could go again soon, but in the meantime I'm glad that I was able to introduce them to their favorite part of their weekend! read more

I just had my daughter's 7th birthday party here. It was definitely the experience of a lifetime. The happiness it brought her was priceless. The hosting princess and Angela the assistant manager were amazing at making sure everyone had a great time and felt like true princesses. The cake provided was beautiful and tasty as was the pizza. The activities were a lot of fun and perfectly timed. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I wasn't satisfied with the digital picture package. It includes some very blurry pics with horrible lighting taken from an iPad and emailed to you. For $25 I expected the pics to at least be taken from a good quality camera. Our 4 year old loved her princess birthday party here and everything was a blast hence the 5 stars, but there are a few minor items I think they need to work on: 1) Remove the mandatory 15% gratuity for a party hosted there with greater than 10 girls, when everything is already an add-on/upcharge. The party ended up being pricier than we had originally budgeted costing us $455 for a 1.5 hour party for 12 girls (the birthday girl counts as a guest and two 2 year olds still cost us the full rate of 19.95/ guest for each guest over 8 guests even though it's a weekend party with a minimum of 10 girls required). We did not agree to the mandatory gratuity or it would have been an additional $70. We still tipped each of the two girls after our party, but the mandatory gratuity makes no sense at a kids party venue serving pizza/lemonade. 2) princess elena was not as active or engaging as the second host Jessica who was amazing! Elena didn't have a rehearsed performance to any elena songs nor did she lead any games or activities with an elena theme. They did play a couple of elena songs during meal time at the end which all the girls enjoyed and the character princess sang them with our daughter which was nice. 3) I agree with a prior review that some of the princess dresses need to retire. My daughter couldn't find a clean Elsa dress. The rest of the dresses were great, but I'm assuming they have a lot of frozen parties so it's time to either dry clean those dresses or get new ones. read more

We went to the Wednesday Drop-In part - advertised from the 11am to 4pm. The fun last only an hour. My Daughter was able to dress-up, her hair, nails and make up ware done. She was able to participle in karaoke but not much since all recorded sings were for older girls :( and she is only 5.5 years old. There was an coloring station and puzzles. There was No games and no other interaction from any staff :( like limbo dance or other group activities to keep the kids busy. I was Hopping for a little more even as a part of good advertising for future party purposes. Regarding your post; half of my party left after an hour because they have exhausted all possibilities. Our kids spend most time changing their costumes and singing. When comes to interaction only 20% of the attention were given to them, like changing the CD and make-up. From my experience, most of the staff hung up backstage after the make-up. I wish the staff will engage in group activities to bring more customers. After all, I like this place but after 1-1.5hrs kids are fed up. read more

This was my birthday girl's dream come true. My Party Princess is nothing short of having a VIP pass to Cinderella's castle at Disney World. My girls and I walked in and our chins dropped. The entire placed is decked out in pink princess frill with no detail left unfinished. We got there early so Jill could get her up-do with tiara before the other girls arrived. We were led to the dressing room where there were about 30 princess dresses to pick from as well as tiaras, slippers, wands, etc. The girls were picking out their favorite dress, and in walks Sleeping Beauty. Gasp. She immediately took over as Jill's personal assistant and doted on her for the rest of our two hours there. The party was very well orchestrated. There were games, music, dancing, a story, a tea party, a fashion show. Sleeping Beauty even helped Jill with gift opening and handing out goody bags. Did I mention I had to choke back tears about three times? Especially when Jill was getting her hair done in front of a pretty round mirror with her big sister standing right behind her. Can you say flash forward to wedding day? I have over 150 pictures. All eleven girls seemed to have a blast, not to mention the five moms who couldn't stop taking pictures. Just a note: Sleeping Beauty is not included in the base cost. You can have her or Cinderella or Belle for an extra $50, which I highly recommend. It wouldn't have been the same if the owner or her assistant, who were dressed in black street clothes, ran the party. My only suggestion to the owner, perhaps the girl who helps Sleeping Beauty run the party could dress a little nicer. A skirt or dress maybe? Thanks for an amazing party! read more
