Suddenly I had something akin to a rock with a glowing monitor. (I am sure the monitor being left on was meant to be gloating!) I had downloaded a package for unzipping my files and the next thing I knew, there was a second profile on my laptop that I had not created and there was no way to access anything on the laptop. (BTW the light from the monitor wasn't even bright enough to illuminate the few hard copies I had printed out before the lockdown. So, I couldn't even use the laptop for a lamp.) I had used an extremely reputable and highly regarded site for my download but forgot that the download buttons could be from advertisers... or bloodsucking lower than pond scum leaches! I don't know what Percy did to gain access. I do know he had to work at it for quite a while and kept having to try something else. It was a very tough intruder and wasn't looking good, at all. I was even making plans to buy a new laptop. Then I get the text... "I'm in!" The White Hats really do win sometimes. (No Percy does not where a white hat... or any hat, really. Another time I had him look at two computers while he was here, he charged an hourly rate rather than for each computer separate, which saved me a lot of money compared to most repair shops. Everything was fixed by the next day except for a screen that was cracked and we had to wait for the new screen to be ordered and that took three days. He also cleaned out my computer, ran virus checks, and updated my windows for me at no extra charge. He got my computers that others told me to replace working perfectly.
