This full house AirBnB rental location is situated just 8 miles east of Marion, OH and 2 miles south of Caledonia, OH and is the perfect location to get a way from it all. Full disclosure, I lived in this house for several years as a teenager some 30 years ago and I think of the area often. This place is what helped me learn about nature, geology, ecosystems, and life and death. My recent visit back to Terradise affirmed my love for the outdoors and how enjoyable it can be to just sit and relax while taking in the sights, sounds, and smells of the woods. The house itself was built in the early 1950's but has been updated several times since then. It currently has a modern kitchen with dishwasher, washer, and dryer. There is one full bath with shower that is available to all guests, and a half bath built into a closet in the master bedroom. Both bedrooms have full size beds, this could be better here with queen size beds, but for a week or so works just fine. The main living room has a fireplace and a large picture window that is great for watching the comings and goings on the river. There is also a library with several hundred books, so there should be something for everyone to read. There is a deck, a patio and a gazebo outside, all ideal for sitting and reading your favorite book, sketching or observing the natural world around you. Deer, owls, ducks, geese, racoons and all manner of other woodland creatures roam nearby. If sitting and reading isn't your thing, the Terradise Nature Preserve is there for you to go hiking, wildflower hunting, bird watching, geocaching and canoeing. Terradise AirBnB has a canoe available for use, it is your responsibility however to arrange pick-up and transport back to the house. All in all, Terradise is an enjoyable and restful location to stay if you are visiting the area. The house itself is wheelchair accessible and pet friendly in case you were wondering. Stay, enjoy, be respectful, and let Terradise influence you and your sense of nature.

It was one excuse after another, they were saving all the campsites for friends and family, or they had groups coming in. Yet, when we were able to get a spot, most of the campground was empty. Although, from way back, they wouldn't answer their phones, their emails, or return messages. Then, it got worse. We were calling a year in advance, then, they'd say, to wait and call six months in advance, then, still, they wouldn't give you a spot.

They have simplified the entrance/exit making it easier to come and go. The pool was in great shape this time. But the splash pad is not turned on yet. I did see where they added new jump pads, one normal size and one huge! This is right next to a new zip line and the kids seem to love both. I decided to splurge on one of their deluxe patio sites since this was my birthday/Father's day present. We got a very nice site back in the BOONDOCKS area which is a nice secluded area not too far from everything else. It does have a nice shower that is ADA compliant, but my only suggestion would be to put a handicap sign up so more abled people can use the others first. Since I was splurging this week, we did take advantage of firewood and ice delivery and they were quick and courteous. I did have an opportunity to reach out for help with their management when an unexpected storm came through. We have a pop up that once you setup and put out the awning, its difficult to get down in a hurry. I used their text number and requested a small step ladder to help me get the awning down and they quickly responded. That was a big help. All in all it was a great stay. My only real issue is with reserving a deluxe patio site, some have propane grills and others have charcoal grills and I don't think you know till you get there, so we had to run our for charcoal.

The wagon ride was cancelled on Saturday with out a notice. We walked on the trail with the kids but it smelled terrible like sewage and there are no trail markers so we had to back track a few times. One trail took us to a house. The sun catcher paint event was not well put together. They were gone in 1 minute and not enough paint for everyone. Walked to feed the animals and didn't realize it cost a quarter to feed. Absolutely no cash on us. And we lost a headlamp we bought in the store, went to buy another the morning we left and told we were not allowed in the store and it was closed for an emergency. For the amount of money we paid just expected a little more being the holiday weekend. Don't see us coming back. Likes: bathrooms were nice, kids liked playground and jump pad, the paddle boat and life jackets, patio furniture at our site.

If this is how upper management will allow their so called managers to run a private club, you are wasting your money Let's talk food, Ive never had a carry out meal come as ordered. Good luck getting food also within 30-45 minutes of when you order. Last time we sat down I dont think drinks came out for 10-15 minutes when I was entertaining and food at least a half hour after. Id suggest saving your money and going to a profession operation like The Lakes or Medallion who actually cares about the member and the experience.
