They have vintage items, modern items, new items, used items...it's not a huge store but it's definitely one that has been crafted with love, that's for sure. My boyfriend actually discovered this store a few weeks ago and we stopped in on a whim. I found a super lovely pair of sterling silver earrings for $4, a game, a ceramic deer for $1, and a few other odds and ends my boyfriend liked. Some of the items will definitely be a bit higher priced than say...goodwill...but the mission of this shop is one I support wholeheartedly and I am grateful to see my money going back into a community resource such as this. I loved there is a free little pantry in the corridor as you enter. Take what you need, leave what you can! You are able to bring in donations of kitchen wares and gently used clothing, accessories, and shoes for 30% off purchases. You are given a rewards card and on your 6th donation, you can get $10 off your purchase. As soon as I walked in a pair of union at olive colored pants caught my eye. They fit perfectly! As I checked out I was informed pants were 30% off. I got a perfect pair of labra for just over $6. What a wonderful value. I was so happy and felt great! We loved the bright, fun atmosphere and will absolutely be back to bring in donations. 5 stars!

Anyway, as soon as we got there I let my wife out of the car and told her I was going to go buy some crap at the nearest Goodwill. She was a little disappointed, but by now she's used to that. So I ended up at this Goodwill in Shelton and I have to say, I was a bit disappointed as well. While most of these little factory towns in the Naugatuck Valley had a decidedly rundown rustbelt vibe to them, this Goodwill was located in a big splashy new shopping center with those corny fake facades and the interior was brightly lit, nice-smelling and overall pretty clean. Right off the bat, none of this does anything for me. But I press on. As far as the goods are concerned, this place is on par with any of the other countless Goodwill's around Connecticut, which means mostly newer, boring clothing - fleeces, khakis and checkered shirts for the men and Walmart tops and endless aisles of bland "coatigan"-type thingies for the women. You will also find a few racks of housewares items which consist of mostly damaged dishware, Boyd's Bears figurines and generic wall art. The media selection will contain tons of not very good books and CDs and a smaller amount of really not very good records. However, today I got lucky and I scored two old plaid blazers, a couple pairs of sunglasses and a giant 6XL 3D-printed shirt with a rooster holding a machine gun. Turns out the blazers had been feasted upon by moths or weevils or some other blazer-eating insects and the sunglasses were prescription, but the 6XL rooster shirt? That is simply pure perfection! Now, my wife puts up with a lot, but ditching her friends at a winery so I could pay ten bucks for a very large man's rooster shirt, might be a bridge too far so I smuggled that one home to make an appearance at some future date to be determined.

The prices start around $5 (the clearance/sale rack sometimes has some wild and fun pieces but I have found some great things that I still own and wear all the time!!) --all the way to designer pieces that are around $50-$100 and up- but usually the range is $15-45 for nice quality sweaters, blouses, Jeans etc,. Jackets are amazing there too I have so many from here that are amazing quality and price !!! The clothing has its basics but also amazing, unique, and beautiful pieces!!! Don't get me started on the bags and jewelry as well!! Truly cannot recommend this place enough!!!! Love the owner/family and workers too. I was assured transparency when I opened my account. I asked for details on my account and they tried to intimidate me several times. Month after month my items were missing and very little, to zero money on my account. If I wanted to donate my items I would have chosen a reputable charity. I give respect and I expect the same. Luckily, I took photos of my items and was able to squeeze some respect out of them.
