And they price everything as if they're on their eBay or Poshmark site. And remember everything they get is free is it donated. Best worker here was the young lady in front she needs a raise she's the only worker that actually knew what she was doing and was respectful and wasn't a bitch to her customers. One thing this place should learn is the boss should say what goes not the person under her then act like the conversation didn't even happen. There should be one person in charge only I don't need to be told yes you can buy DVDs from a worker then get told only 1 like bitch that person with the glasses said I can get them without a issue like if your worker already said that it wouldn't be a issue this one time then it shouldn't be a issue at all like no that worker said It would be ok this one time don't go back on what your worker says that's bad business. Yes it was stated I couldn't buy DVDs with BH Care yes that's true but I asked the older lady with glasses and she said it wouldn't be a issue this time. Why tell someone one thing then go against it? The boss seen I was happy buying the DVDs but she had to be a typical bitch I didn't think it would break the bank asking about DVDs when your older worker said it was ok. The only good thing about this place is it's supporting the domestic violence people that's the best the world needs more support with that it would be nice if the main one in charge wasn't a bitch and older worker actually followed suite. "My Sister's Place" is a thrift store in downtown Ansonia which exists for one reason - to help women who are victims of domestic violence and abuse. Every dollar spent there goes to support and protect these most-vulnerable victims. That being said, it is only an average thrift store with a decent selection of clothes (weighted mostly towards women) a small electronics and media section, and a fairly large section for china and silverware. The place is roomy, but not very clean. Prices are decent, but you can find things cheaper at Goodwill or Salvation Army Stores. read more

I didn't find much to my liking but they had a good amount of women's clothing to search through .....there was a dollar jewelry table and I was very pleased to find a 3 sweet trinkets !! Really nice store. Lots of clothes and other knickknacks that you'd expect to see at a thrift store. The staff is nice. Very helpful and always smiling.
