I had the best experience with My Tailor! Reasonable price, much less than many other tailors who do bridal alterations. My sister paid almost as much in alterations as her dress cost, and I paid only a fraction of that for much better service than she received. The first time I walked in, they were attentive, friendly, and knew exactly what they were doing and how to guide me in the alterations process. When I went to pick my dress up, I discovered that I forgot to have her attach the belt I was wearing with my dress. She offered to keep the dress and quickly attach it, and press the dress and my veil, too! The turnaround was super quick and the alterations were perfect. I came here for the first time, took two pairs of jeans to be shortened, i PRE paid 50$ in CASH ( they only take check or cash) My grandmother came with me as well and i was very happy and excited. A week goes by and i have my partner pick up my pants ( i called to see if it was okay she said yes) He called me during work to tell me they said i didn't pay... and that they don't do pre paying which was a lie, i was FURIOUS!! my grandmother called and vouched for me, she did a great job on the pants but accusing me of not paying and lying!! not okay!!! She also gave me my ticket that only had 2 things written on it, the garment and when they would be done. Never put the price and never put that i paid.. Never going back. Hope this helps. read more

TERRIBLE service, TERRIBLE work. I took a bridesmaid dress and another dress in and they were both BOTCHED. looked like a 5 year old was sewing. messy messy work. uneven seams, uneven straps, strings hanging off everywhere. even made pleats in the front of the dress changing the entire look, instead of taking the boning out. they refused to give me my dress back until I paid. they wanted me to pay $120!!! after 30 minutes of screaming and literally ripping my dress from her hands, I paid them 60 and had to take the dress elsewhere to be fixed. What a nightmare! terrible service, they were not even apologetic for how badly it was done, they blamed it on their 'new person,' and then I somehow was to blame. the customer service was perhaps worse than the seamstress' work. Fast and friendly service but VERY expensive. I have taken many clothes in to different tailors. This place charged twice what I expected.

I ripped my winter coat, one of those shell coats, taking it out of the washer. Ripped the sleeve...not on the seam. He stitched it up, and it's hardly noticeable. Looks just like the seam. Very reasonably priced, and I had the coat back in two days. read more

Horrible. Hemmed my expensive jeans too short to wear and charged me $10 more than he originally quoted me. I was extremely polite and expressed my unhappiness with the job and difference in price, but he just stared at me blankly like he could care less. Very rude. read more

I took a $219.00 pea coat in to have the sleeves shortened and the plastic buttons replaced with metal buttons. I picked up the coat a week later and one sleeve is an inch and half sorter than the other, cut entirely too high. The craftsmanship is poor at best with the sleeves puckering where they were sewn. They were also sewn crooked. The coat has 8 buttons, I took them 10 metal buttons. They only replaced 6 of the 8 buttons. Its a double breasted pea coat and the buttons are also sewn on crooked. There is an inch difference between the spacing of the two top buttons and the two bottom buttons. The left row of three buttons sits almost 3/4 of an inch higher than the right row of three buttons. Overall Im just unimpressed. They cut one sleeve entirely too short, I dont know how they are going to fix that. Its unfortunate that the quality of work is so poor as they have good online reviews! I have three suits, 4 pairs of jeans and a handfull of dress shirts that I need to have tailored. Needless to say, I wont be taking them to My Tailor! read more
