Chris is a very skilled and knowledgeable technician. Best Buy sends all their repairs to Lexington, Kentucky and Geek Squad is a more of a sales position. Walmart, OfficeMax and Staples are sales positions and they don't care about you like Chris does. Chris is a helpful person because he knows special information about computers and electronics and is even a great musician and DJ! About a month ago I took my pc here after dealing with issues with it for way too long. Tried taking it to Best Buys "Geek squad" but got a feeling they had absolutely no idea what they were talking about. Got here about 3 mins before closing due to my work schedule and was helped by Chris. Chris stayed after with me an hour after the store was closed and got the computer working. the customer service and the knowledge Chris had was beyond this world. I'm afraid I won't ever get the customer service I had here ever again anywhere else. I highly recommend coming here if you have any problems. *After* I took my comp to MyTech, my motherboard was done. I got 2 other tech opinions elsewhere, different places, who told me that it was MyTech who messed up the motherboard. It was working fine when I last had it, then it was not. Fried. Charged about $200 for something I could have took to someone else to help with, without frying the motherboard, apparently. I went to see Chris to review my computer functions after someone hacked into my bank account through my internet banking. He also helped me link my phone to my computer. Had a battery malfunction that left my laptop's aluminum shell damaged. Took it in the next morning a little after opening, had it back by 1 pm in time for virtual classes (college student). Great pricing and great communication. They not only fixed my battery, but also found the two missing screws inside the case, put them back in place, as well as cleaned the laptop. And now, as I'm writing this, I'm noticing it looks like they even tightened the hinge a bit as it was getting kinda loose. 12/10 would recommend and will be back for any future computer issues. read more

Fast and reasonable. My laptop was stuck in an endless reboot loop and I was worried about salvaging my files and the laptop itself. Dropped it off Thursday afternoon and had it back within 24 hrs. I'd say less than 3 hours after dropping it off, they called to give me a price quote and idea of what needed to be done, asking for the okay before proceeding. They ran into additional issues, having to unexpectedly replace the hard drive, which they did, and stuck to the quote price not charging for the replacement part which I am so thankful for! Laptop is up and running smoothly and no files lost. I did lose one program (Adobe Photoshop) but all things considered, I'm really grateful for the timeliness, price and overall outcome. Paying less than $200 to repair my laptop as opposed to losing everything and starting anew paying $600+ for a new laptop was exactly what I wanted to do. I've got a old I phone 6 which started having problems keeping charged and kept cutting off . Knowing I couldn't afford another phone at the time I called My Tech . This place is incredible. Not only does Chris know the computer biz inside and out but he's one of the most customer friendly people I've experienced period, computers or not. You take your computer in, he explains exactly what is wrong and what will be fixed in a language that us non-computer savvy people can understand, then gets the job done in a timely fashion that you just don't see in the corporate world.
