I want to give a shout out and thank you to My Time Recovery team starting with the founder Scotty Sample, who would continually encourage our son to join the program when he was ready!!! When Joe finally decided it was time for a change, he was introduced to Trevor Crain. They quickly became friends as Trevor could totally relate to what Joe was going through. Both General Contractors with families. As Trevor has quite the life changing story to share. He has been an incredible support to Joe. The day I took Joe was family day. Wow, I had no idea Trevor, his beautiful wife Destiny and Trevor's mom would be there to share. I cried all throughout their presentation as I could relate to so much. I knew I was leaving my son in good hands. It appeared to be the perfect fit for him. Joe would be paired with Bri. She would be his therapist and help him unpack some things in his life that needed a different approach other than alcohol, anger or drugs. Many sessions and maybe differences of opinions later, another wow!! Joe is happier, confident, still makes us laugh like he always has, asks loads of questions, keeps us all on our toes reading and quoting Scriptures from the Bible. Knowing his faith and trust in God is #1. Our son is back and getting stronger everyday!! Both my husband and myself have seen major changes in him!! It's exciting to see him learn how important his sobriety is for him. He's learned so much through the classes, taking advantage of attending them, meeting and sharing with others and seeing the fruit!! He's learned coping mechanisms and more life skills to use when certain events or people trigger him! A huge help living in the safe house along with many others battling addictions. As a mom, my heart rejoiced when my son showed me his notebook with over 75 pages of notes with more being added daily!! He has shared so much of what he has learned. I could listen for hours!! He has a new pep in his step!!! He knows he's getting stronger day by day. He knows he is a man on a mission and has so much value. We are beyond proud of him and praying for him as he continues to learn and grow and stay the course!! He will tell you it's hard at times because let's face it, anything worth something IS hard work!! Thank you so much Team, My Time!! Oh, and my husband and I have attended Zoom meetings weekly with Scott and Jenny from Carefrontations for our recovery in this process too!!! We've been to 4 of the 6 classes free of charge for us!! Along with about 20+ other parents and family members. It's been a great eye opener. We've learned new vocabulary words that really can make a difference in conversations. My name is Elizabeth. I am 24 years, college graduate, and a recovering heroin addict. When I was 15 years old I shot up heroin for the first time. At 19, I went to my first rehab during Christmas break in college and was prescribed 8mg subtext pills 3 times a day and was on them consistently until I was 22, along with Xanax and cocaine. I graduated college in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Criminology and Pre Law. A month after graduation I was arrested for several felonies. My drug addiction was so bad I was back to shooting heroin, on the subtext and Xanax, while smoking crack and PCP. At 22 I was sent to rehab in Thailand by my parents and started my journey into rehab hopping and insurance fraud. The summer of 2017, I was caught in the "south Florida shuffle" which was being paid to go to rehabs/ detox's. I would get clean for 2 weeks and then insurance brokers would buy me dope and put me in a hotel room for several weeks and send me back to detox for my insurance money. Shortly after I was homeless on the streets of Los Angeles with my puppy Roger, 24 years old and had completely lost my mind since I started shooting meth and heroin, at this point I had been to 20+ rehabs. My family had completely cut me out of their lives since I was toxic and hurting everyone around me. My mom had said she already grieved my death years ago. September 2018 I was introduced to Scotty Sample, someone had passed down his phone number to me since I was slowly committing suicide: 60 pounds, homeless, raped, beaten, shot out, and completely broken. However, I still wasn't ready but the Sample's and My Time Recovery never gave up on me. November 2018, I was on the streets again and this time I had an abscess on my arm that had eaten through the arteries and the bone. It was the worse they had ever seen and were talking amputation since it was a hollow hole in my upper left arm. I walked to the parking lot of the ER and shot up in my neck, breaking the needle off in my neck. I was done. I called Scotty for the millionth time and begged for a millionth chance. By the grace of god, My Time took me back for the third time in 5 short month. Because of the SAMPLE'S and MTR I am 79 days clean today from all substances and alcohol, this is the longest I have had sober since 15. They truly saved my life, without them I would be dead in a ditch, with one arm by now. I am beyond grateful for them and forever in their debt. read more

My Time Recovery saved my life. I was lost in my alcoholism and very close to death. One night I drunk dialed rehabs begging for help. Scotty Sample answer the phone and went out of his way from day one to get me the help I needed. He worked day and night to work with my husband to get me safely into treatment. First of all shout out to all the staff who have worked with my son. He has grown so much in the past 10 weeks thanks to everyone's support. My Time Recovery staff are knowledgeable, compassionate and professional. Tyler, our sons case manager, has a wealth of experience and is well equipped to support our son with his current needs. Tyler and Gavin, office admin, have gone above and beyond their roles and we are forever grateful. Not sure how my husband and I would navigate this time without them. I live 3 hours away from where our son is, I miss him everyday, but I know he is in the best hands. My heart was broken. I can't beat my addiction/mental illness, I've been this way for 20 years. Someone suggested My Time recovery. It has changed my life. This is not a normal recovery program. I came in to My Time Recovery with the worst alcohol problem you can have. I was throwing up daily, anxiety through the roof, getting into legal trouble, and then My Time saved my life.
