Wanted to love dog culture and have a place to take my girls so they could play and socialize. I dropped them off for a behavioral assessment the first time and my pit mix failed, as she has an aggressive play style. We have been working for months to teach her to play better with all dogs and have socialized her a lot more since then. I brought both of them back for another assessment, explained to them they need a little time to acclimate to the new area and new dogs. Within NINE MINUTES, they called me to come pick her up and said she failed again. There was absolutely no effort on their part to try to give her a chance and acclimate and no knowledge of how dogs interact. If they had given her at least 30 minutes even, I would have been ok with the outcome but 9 minutes isn't enough to tell anything about a dog or their behavior in a new environment. It seemed as though they had a problem with her being a pitbull and saw her as a threat. I also watched the live cam at their Greenville location and they are completely overcrowded with way too many dogs in each bay. Will not recommend this place to anyone.

Yesterday morning I called to schedule grooming appointments for our dogs. My first call went to a message stating they were either experiencing a high call volume or were closed. I called back 3 more times over the next couple of minutes, but no one answered. I had 2 meeting coming up and would not be available if I left a message After waiting about 10 minutes, I called again and someone answered. I heard "Hello" and that the call was being recorded. I asked if there were any grooming appointments available next week. The manager immediately responded by asking if I was the person who had just called multiple times. I said yes, and before I had a chance to explain that I was simply trying to get through to schedule an appointment, he told me that calling repeatedly was rude and that I would not be receiving any services from them. He then hung up on me. I was surprised by the response and attempted to call back twice to clarify that I was not trying to be rude, but my calls were not answered. Later, my wife called and spoke with the same manager. He stated that he was with a customer and that I should have known that repeatedly calling was rude. I had assumed this was a business line with multiple lines, but we later learned it is actually a cell phone, and I assume he doesn't know that you can silence them. My wife asked to have the owner contact her to discuss the situation, but more than a day later we have still not received a response. Based on this experience and the way the situation was handled, we will not be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend this business to others.

I have known the owners for about 3 years and they have truly changed our lives for the better. We…read moreinitially met them living in the SF Bay Area. We have 2 Mini-Australian Shepherds and one is very fear reactive as he was attacked on trails many times as a young puppy. We had other trainers tell us our male dog would never live a normal life and could never be around other dogs or children. Guiding Canines took the time to understand our dogs and create a meticulous training plan! They simulated real life situations since we had a baby on the way with noisy toys, crying dolls, strollers... the WORKS! We are so grateful for them! Our dogs did really well with the arrival of our son thanks to Guiding Canines! We stayed in contact with them and just moved to the East Coast. We were so excited to be near Guiding Canines again! They have taken care of our dogs and setup a follow-up training schedule while we get our house settled. They're extremely flexible but always keep the dogs best interest at the forefront. Recently, they helped facilitate a vet visit for one of our pups to get checked out. I highly recommend this team because they are truly phenomenal! We are forever grateful for them for allowing our dog to live a "normal life"!

Then upon arrival offered to stay into their lunch time to accept my dogs so, that we wouldn't have to ride around town until they reopened. Once we arrived they were wonderful with my dogs who had been in the car for a while. Even though they were busy, remembered me and what I had told them about my dogs. They were overly helpful when we needed to extend our stay and then opened early on a Sunday just so we could get on the road home earlier. When I picked up my dogs they were happy, looked great and the staff was patient. Even giving me an itemized bill for insurance. I wish they were closer and I would love to give them more business. Completely disorganized…read more They failed to follow my explicit request not to use a slip lead wrapped around my small dogs neck. They lost our dog beds. How does that happen when they should be in the crate with them? We paid extra for additional play and walks but how am I supposed to believe they did them when they are so sloppy? Post-it's everywhere. Incomplete check in notes. This place is in desperate need of management.
