Went there for a tour for daycare. Facility was filthy and smelled like a zoo inside. No dogs were outside and was taken to a wing where all the "daycare" pups were in individual cages. Your dog will likely survive this kennel. However, who knows if the extras you pay for are ever actually provided. They're pretty slip shod and inattentive to detail. My dog needed meds one stay, they were not provided, the full container was given back to me at pick up. Twice I've been charged for grooming that wasn't provided. If your dog is healthy and low maintenance, it will likely be fine. If your dog needs special care, I'd find somewhere else. read more

Top Dog has the best employees! You could not ask for a more loving and caring staff. If my dog is stressed and isn't eating they ask you if they can give her some canned food to get her to eat. The people here truly love dogs so much and work with shelters to help find dogs in need a loving family. read more

Zero stars. Boarded our dog for the holidays and trusted them to give her her daily anxiety medication, which cannot be missed as advised by her vet. They didn't give it to her, and didn't return it to the person who picked her up the day before Christmas Eve. We were flying home and had to call over and over to get in touch with someone, only to be met with a harsh tone of inconvenience to this business. This is the absolute definition of neglect. Stay away from this facility, they are only in it for the money. It really says something when they turn their reviews off when that's an option. read more

This is the second time my dog comes back smelling like urine. The first time I let it go but now a second time I'm done. Also comes back sick with congestion. I am done with this place. This boarder is my back-up boarding preference if everything else is full. They have always had availability and are very flexible if I have to change the dates of my pup's stay multiple times and/or at very short notice. They seem clean and friendly and my pup always seems to come back happy. Their rates are also reasonably priced and don't break the bank for a long stay. They lose a star for lack of communication; I called to ask if I could pick my pup up a day earlier than expected and they said no problem, and I also requested she get a bath before I picked her up. The next day, I called to see if her bath was done so I could pick her up, but they still thought she was getting picked up the next day and so she hadn't gotten a bath. Seems that communication can fall between the cracks here occasionally. Not a big deal, but I wish it were better. They also lose a star due to the condition of my dog when I picked her up today (see photo). Not a terribly bad scratch on her nose and I didn't notice it till we were home, but they didn't mention what had happened when I picked her up. I wish they would have. read more

They apparently have a policy that you are charged for a second day when you pick up on Sunday bc it's after noon (but they only have pick up hours 2-6); however no one communicated that when my husband called to inquire about availability and pricing based on a sat-sun stay. When I expressed my disdain they didn't even apologize. When there are plentiful kennels with good reviews in the area my dog will NOT be returning. read more

I would give them 10 stars if it were possible. We had to board our dogs in a very quick timeframe as we were. Wing evacuated. The staff was kind and efficient when biking the reservation, assisting me in getting records for my dogs. Then upon arrival offered to stay into their lunch time to accept my dogs so, that we wouldn't have to ride around town until they reopened. Once we arrived they were wonderful with my dogs who had been in the car for a while. Even though they were busy, remembered me and what I had told them about my dogs. They were overly helpful when we needed to extend our stay and then opened early on a Sunday just so we could get on the road home earlier. When I picked up my dogs they were happy, looked great and the staff was patient. Even giving me an itemized bill for insurance. I wish they were closer and I would love to give them more business. I am only giving 3 stars because of one employee there, Kim, who is incredibly rude and disrespectful. she is awful with people so I will not let her around my dog, I quit going there because of her even though I love the rest of the staff and the kennel itself. I wasn't going to write a review but after speaking with several aquaintances this past weekend I have discovered that they to have the same issues. I even found out that she disrespects her company and boss as she is spreading rumors about the business she works for. If it wasn't for this one huge blemish on this business I would definately be a return customer and give 5 stars instead. I hope this business can get this situation under control read more

A little concerning when upon drop off, the guy taking my dog in didn't know how to take a pinch collar off and was trying to pull it over his head making the dog yelp. Instead of stopping or asking how, he used his body weight to hold the dog and continued to force it. I happened to peek around the desk to realize it was my dog and immediately went to assist. Makes you wonder how your pet is being handled when you're not there. I've also wondered if they actually take them out as often as they say. It always seems as though it takes a few days to get back to normal eating and pooping upon returning home. Two stars because reception desk staff is very friendly. read more

The intake forms ask a LOT of question (which are needed), but they could all be put online to fill out IMHO. It's always a positive experience for us and our Boxer. read more

We brought our dog Max to Top Dog when we were in a tight situation. It was our first time traveling with him and midway through the trip, he decided he wasn't going anywhere. At 140 lbs of dog, that's no joke. We were able to get him here and they really saved us a lot of frustration. They were great with Max, and he loved it there too. They weren't annoyed when we called almost every day to check on him, and we felt very secure leaving him there. Everyone we talked to was crazy nice and really seemed to love animals. We were able to purchase extra play time for him every day which made us feel better about leaving him, but he probably didn't even need it because they gave him a ton of attention and had a big play area and lots of toys for the dogs to use while there. As for the price, it was significantly less than we thought it was going to be. All in all, we only wish we lived closer so we could take Max there every time we vacationed. read more

Will NEVER go to Top Dog Ltd. ever again! Worst grooming experience ever by Rhonda. Took my 9 year old Bichon poodle to her to be groomed. Upon picking my baby up after grooming, I noticed that she had her right eye closed, it was running & very agitated. I spoke with Rhonda & asked her what happened to my Bichon poodle's eye?? She proceeded to tell me that she hadn't noticed anything & suggested she may have a hair in it. Really?!! I took my dog to the vet to find out that she had an ulcer on her eye due to trauma from grooming. She also had a very noticeable nick from the clippers on her nose, so doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. The only positive thing I can say about Top Dog is that they did pay my vet bill after I went back to tell them what had happened to my dog while under their "care" & give them the bill. Very disappointed to know that instead of apologizing & letting me know that an accident occurred during grooming, Top Dog Ltd. chose to act as if they never noticed anything wrong especially when my baby needed medical attention! read more

Unbelievable. A friend recommended Top Dog to me when I was having great difficulty finding someone to help me with an abused Pit that I took in, cared for and loved. In turn he was utterly devoted to me but could not be around other people due to his angst. Ben and Haley were Godsends as not only did they give him boarding when I needed to travel, but they spent time with him, trying to help him overcome his life challenges. Since then, Top Dog is my go to as I don't think you will find a group of people so dedicated to ensuring the safety and happiness of your furkid. They are the best and currently my girls are spending a couple of days there getting the royal treatment. If you need boarding, Top Dog goes well beyond just bring a kennel. read more

I have 2 small dogs, toy poodle male (Baraka), and crestapoo who is female (Shelly). My female dog has keep the family hostage. She is very spoiled (well loved), territorial and unfriendly to all visitors, which includes family. The person I bought her from was the only person she would allow to touch her for grooming. I took them to a kennel for boarding and before I could get out of the parking lot they called and told me to come back and get Shelly. I have a loooot of storys' pertaining to my little girl. A friend of mine uses Top Dog and really bragged on how pleased they are with how they care for their very spoiled (human) dog. They should really be commended for patience, love for animals and just overall professionalism towards the customers. They groomed Shelly and she has really warmed up to staff at Top Dog and likes going there. Baraka is spoiled and will take love and affection from anyone. I am more than pleased. read more
