Kudos to the wonderful staff at MyVacation Haven! This was our second time booking our family vacation with thus company. I called them prior to our trip due to the threat of a hurricane that was heading towards Florida. Lexi updated me with the current weather conditions. We were still unsure about visiting Destin. We had a wonderful time even though everyone in our family weren't able to make the trip. We planned for 9 people but only had 6 due to weather conditions. All in all we still had an awesome time at the resort best of all the golf cart was a huge bonus. Thanks again for the excellent customer service. We recently stayed at Harvey's House. Steps from the ocean is what a week at the beach is all about! The outdoor deck is nice to sit and enjoy the view as well. The public access to the beach is farther down so it is very quiet with private residences all around. Stinky's Restaurant is about 1/4 mile away and a Tom Thumb about 1/4 mile away in the other direction. We hope to return! read more

Unit 6922/6924 Luau II Sandestin Our family of 4 stayed here the first week of June.  Both the master unit and the studio unit were clean, well-kept and nicely decorated with beach themed decorations.  While the Luau Towers aren't beach front, you do have a view of the beach and distant view Choctahwhachee Bay to the north; though you're not paying beach-front prices either.  The studio unit really doesn't have much of a view nor a balcony, though our daughters just slept/napped there. The beach access is a very short walk; maybe a couple hundred yards.  The master unit overlooks the large pool, though since you're on the 9th floor you really don't have a lot of noise from the pool.  Based on our research and observation, the pool looks to be one of the best in terms of size, design, landscaping, etc in the whole Sandestin Resort area.  I'll try to post a picture from the balcony for prospective.  Overall, our family was very satisfied with the value and location of our unit and the experience in the Sandestin Resort area.  Sandestin is a huge golf/beach/bay/shopping resort area with lots of condo buildings and villas.  Access to the resort areas are controlled via manned security gates and patrolled by security vehicles.  Across US98 is Baytown Wharf which has a bunch of shops, restaurants, bars, a long pier on the bay, etc.  It's a very festive area especially in the evenings.  One aspect of this particular rental is that it comes with a 4-seater golf cart, which in my opinion is a must have.  Most evenings we took the golf cart to Baytowne Wharf and let our 19-year old daughter drive to and from; there's a tunnel that goes under US98 so you're not crossing a busy road, and a golf cart-only parking area.  Destin Harbor is just 10 miles to the west, though US98 is very busy especially during peak tourist season, so it was about a 30-minute drive.  We do plan to return to Sandestin in the future and would certainly rent this unit again if it's available. The folks at My Vacation Haven were really very good. I believe they specialize in only vacation rentals in this area, so they're very knowledgeable and provide really good customer service. Our rep was Alex Pierce. She was very responsive to our questions via email or text. Our only regret is that a week stay was way too short as there is so much to do and experience in this area of the panhandle. read more

Booked a great house for summer vacation through these guys. Planned our entire summer schedule around this trip, secured vacation from work, booked all our travel arrangements well in advance and then they call me three weeks before our trip to tell us our house has sold and the new owners won't honor our rental agreement. Never gave us any indication the house was even for sale, just said sorry. They offered to put us in a "comparable" property instead, but the houses they suggested were a joke. Not even close to the quality and amenities of the house we paid for. There is a clause in their very one-sided rental agreement that says they can upgrade us at their discretion but obviously they aren't interested in doing that. So now we're scrambling last minute to find a new place. read more

Beware of this company charging for damages that are normal wear and tear. We enjoyed our stay but were charged without warning $528 for a golf cart battery replacement. The golf cart broke down on the main 30A road and would not turn on. We contacted My Vacation Haven and asked what they would like us to do. We followed every direction and left the repair in their hands. The golf cart sat in the location it was broken for the remainder of our stay without access to another golf cart. Battery terminals melting is not negligence on a renters part, but normal wear and tear on a golf cart, especially if normal maintenance is not performed. Don't waste your time on the confusing contract or vague rules when it comes to age requirements. While most of our group is over 25 we have one person who is under 25, the wife of one of the other guests. They own a home and have a full time job. After calling My Vacation Haven they stated that they refuse to let anyone under the age of 25 stay in the properties without a guardian. My friend who is married has to bring her legal guardian?! Of course we only found this out after reading reviews since the contract says the age only matters of the person who is renting. read more

This is my third year of renting through My Vacation Haven. The units are clean, the staff is accommodating of any requests you may have. I have found the condos, that we have stayed in over the last three years, to be very nice with well stocked kitchen necessities, comfortable furniture, and beautiful views of the golf, no matter which perspective we could see the beach from deprnding on our condo locattion. Our family was packed (in two cars) and on our way to the rental house when My Vacation Haven called to say that the rental unit we had booked had a leak and we would have to be moved. They offered us three options, all smaller and much farther away from the beach. I understand that issues happen but they booked us in a place that was about half the price of what we had paid and they would not offer any refund or compensation. When I complained about this, the response was that we could have cancelled. Seriously? All packed and halfway there and their solution was that we could have cancelled. Do NOT book through this agency. They brag that they don't charge the fees of Airbnb or VRBO. But how is this better if they put you in a downgraded space and offer not compensation? read more

I had reservation for Jan 2022 made in November unfortunately the people we were going to visit there got civic and the reset of the family that was staying with me ended up with problems with airlines and covid. They would not refund a cent!! My sister who uses them to !manage her place was surprised and said she never received anything from cancellations!! Can I rate zero stars? Booked through My Vacation Haven almost two months ago and receive a call yesterday that our trip was cancelled because the property sold. Airline tickets have already been bought and now there are no properties available. Very disappointed. 1 star - for the tiny fraction of refund I received, equivalent to a 1 night stay and we even left a day early! The list of what went wrong with this experience is unreal, and the lack of customer service and proper communication is even more unreal. We chose this rental because we were coming as a family of 8 and it advertised 2 golf carts. We got a call the Saturday we arrived saying the second golf cart wouldn't arrive until Monday, as the owner had just spent 2 weeks in the rental and noticed it needed work. Take note - the owner had been there for 2 weeks prior to us arriving. We never received that second golf cart. And the golf cart we did have had major issues - a leaking tire that needed changed and NO BRAKES! To make a long story short, here's the list of additional issues - COCKROACHES (they offered to come spray but insisted it would cause more to run out and die and we declined due to having a 1 year old running around), the plumbing was a mess and showers were backed up and wouldn't drain (maintenance came to unclog these but when we left the dishwasher was still full of backed up dirty water), electrical issues - we played musical light switches to figure out how to even have lights (they are far from any normal use of double switches) and every time we plugged up something to use, the breakers would blow inside and out outside!, all 4 stove eyes would not work - my husband and son in law spent a lot of time fixing this our first night, as we had bought meat to cook. There were dirty dishes, clothing, bandaids, etc left throughout the rental, in places that were not obvious at first glance but definitely should have been seen if cleaned properly! (example being under bed skirts and beside bedside tables). I could keep going. I have tons of phone call and email proof of trying to resolve things. I never received a phone call back - always had to call back myself. And every time I called, they acted like they had no record of my previous calls! Worst vacation experience ever! And all they offered was 1/7 of payment refund. $595 out of the total of $4,260 paid to stay here! read more

I rented a vacation home at 36 Tranquility in Destin Fl from Sept 24-27 for my husbands and my anniversary and some friends I recieved a text from the company My vacation Haven a few days prior to our arrival stating what to bring and what to expect when we got here. BUT noone prepared me for the disaster when we got here . First of all we rented the house MOSTLY for the pool and when we got here on Thurs Sept 24 it was FILTHY it had trees and shrubs from the hurricane it was even a dead frog floating around and empty plastic cups and NOT TO MENTION the refrigerator did not work AT ALL !!! No ICE NO WATER NOTHING!!! . I immediately called the rental company to report this and was assured this would be taken care of in the early A.M.The next day my husband and myself called again and was told by the manager Amanda McMchon at My Vacation Haven that the refrigerator had been reported broken as of Sunday prior to our arrival and that it ad parts on back order so that means all of the meat and food that we had to put in the refrigerator was going to spoil .I asked about the pool again to be told SOMEONE was coming out but it wouldnt be until the afternoon it was already 12 noon by this time and my guests were ready to test the waters but the pool was still dirty. I was transferred to a manager and she told me that My Vacation Haven LLC doesnt clean the pools but the maintenance here in Destiny East and she was calling him as we spoke . She the proceeded to have me send her pics of the pool and I did then she told me she would notify the property manager and refund me $225 dollars of my money BUT WE PAID $2,700 . I I didnt think this was acceptable. That same morning one of my guest informed me that she saw a pool guy cleaning the pool RIGHT NEXT DOOR I was willing to ride in my car an get him but he was gone lol. I'm not sure but this DIDNT LOOK right because at all .. I'm SUPER DISAPPOINTED and my ANNIVERSARY VACATION HAS BEEN RUINED and MOST OF ALL My Vacation Haven stated they did COVID19 cleaning NOT QUITE SURE THATS TRUE due to the conditions we found here upon arrival.. I'm actually in this home in FEAR now and STILL NOONE HAS CONE TO CLEAN THE POOL while typing this it is now 131pm and NO POOL GUY OR A FRIDGE ILL NEVER USW THEM AGAIN.. As Hurricane Dorian approached we called to discuss options and told there was nothing they could do. Also, arrived two hours early and told there was no early check in. READ BEFORE YOU BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! We had a very bad experience with this company on a rental we booked for May 27th - 31st, 2021. This company rented us a unit and that unit was also up for sale, but the company did not advise us that it was for sale. Then, the unit sold 2 months prior to our scheduled visit. My Vacation Haven advised us that they could provide a refund, or we could choose from one of their "comparable" units. None of the units were comparable, and they didn't even include a Golf Cart like our original unit did. They also costed less then what we paid when I looked on their booking site. When I asked them to send more options that were closer to what we originally booked, they send me another unit without a golf cart, and they said I could call the new management company and try to book it through them. WHY WOULD THEY NOT HAVE CALLED ON MY BEHALF TO HELP ME THROUGH THIS SITUATION? That would have been good customer service. Long story short, when I called the other management company, they made me pay $110 more then what I ordinally paid and My Vacation Haven did not compensate me for the increase in cost after I spent my weekend rebooking the same place for more money. Please use other booking websites like VRBO and Airbnb when choosing your rental. Also, avoid rentals where My Vacation Haven is the management company so you don't have to go through situations like mine. Definitely No Vacation Haven. read more

Whatever you do, do not get involved with renting your vacation rental with these people at vacation haven! As six family members, we rented through a VRBO website and later found that VRBO was processing bookings for Vacation Haven; we thought nothing of it. After our booking was complete and we were one month into our reservation, a host with Vacation Haven called me. I suddenly thought; what could the be calling me for? Maybe to plan our key and entry to the rental? NO! They were calling me to tell me we were being put out of our rental! The women that called said the owner of the house rental wanted to stop renting it and we had to find something else. I was pissed! They offered two rent use something else; however, the offers had none of the amenities we had planed on and were in poor locations. They refused to help me get my vacation insurance refunded and refused to pay me one months worth of interest accumulated on my credit card. All the time and planning just went up in smoke! I searched for months for the perfect vacation rental. Finally deposited $4,000.00 with My Vacation Haven in Destin Florida. 4 months later they told me the home I booked was sold and offered me 5 smaller homes that wouldn't fit my party and one larger home at over $2,000.00 more. I could not afford $2,000 more! They said take it or leave it. I pushed back and asked them to meet me halfway with the price. They said they would give me 5% off. I asked to speak with a manager. Was told they would call me back in 1 day. 2 days later...I still heard nothing. I called them. Was told a manager would call me back. I missed the call. I called back and was told they could do nothing. I asked to speak to another manager. One day has gone by, and I still have not received a call. I will NEVER rent with them again. I am so disappointed and now have to cancel my vacation that I have been saving up for for 3 years. What horrible customer service. read more

Terrible experience! Me and my wife go to Destin Fl every year to enjoy the beach and activities there. We decided to take my parents and nephew to Sandestin for week of enjoyment. The condo we rented was nice. When we got unpacked and Settled in me and my dad went onto the patio and found geckos all over the patio furniture, even little feces they left on the couch. Later I found little holes in the screen which I tried to close up but they still kept getting in. Then when we went to the beach we went to take the beach furniture they posted in the add as part of the package, we found that except for one chair the rest of the stuff was broken or unusable. There also was a bunch of other little hiccups, but we chalked it up to things that happen When you rent. The real problem was the mildew smell that we Smelled the first day. We thought it just needed to be aired out and after a couple days it lightened a little. My mother was feeling A little sick but because she's on medication because of breast Cancer it's not unusual for her to not feel well at times. But then My wife started feeling sick, then that night my dad asked me to come in their room and he pointed to what appeared to be Black mold on the ceiling and around the vents. Also it was in their walk in closet also on the ceiling and vent. I called Management left them a message and an email about what We found because it was after hours. Didn't hear back until Saturday morning when we left. I took pictures and showed Them to a company back home that verified it was mold. I was very upset when I found that out. I called My Vacation Haven to let them know what we found out and they apologized, Said they were looking into it, that they knew that the unit had Some issues and thought the owner had address them. We agreed on them refunding a portion of my money They never did. They then no longer wanted to speak to me And directed me to speak with their attorneys. Their attorneys Implied that because we didn't report it the first day, so that they Could move us, that we used that situation to get a free vacation. To make my point lets just say that was true. The fact that there Was mold, and the fact that your clients had to move their family And be inconvenienced would that still not be valid reason for Some kind of recovery?? What nerve!! Anyway I reported the Issue to the BBB then their lawyers threatened me with a cease And desist. Can you believe that??? I eventually reported it to American Express who investigated and found validity crediting Our account back. Boy I love that American Express!! My opinion is that My Vacation Haven is a poorly managed company. Very insensitive to their clients and in my opinion lack integrity. There are many other rental agencies there and my opinion is Go elsewhere....... read more

Booked a Memorial Day weekend for this past weekend through My Vacation Haven. First time that I had used them. The level of customer service provided was top notch. Check-in was at 3pm; we arrived around 1pm, and called to see if we could check in early. They contacted the cleaners, learned our place was ready early and set up a temporary access code for our unit. Later in the day, we couldn't find our pool bracelets, called again, and they once again contact the cleaners who told them where they were; within 5 minutes we had a call back letting us know which drawer they were in. Also, the unit was exactly as advertised. I'll certainly rent from them again! read more

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not to mention that we stayed at 193 fairways and the bed was so hard and uncomfortably cheap that my wife and I had to sleep in the 2nd bedroom on twin mattresses. The other issue was that there was something wrong with the plumbing and there was waste from the toilets that would come up through the shower drain. I called immediately and it took them 6.5 hours to send someone out after the second call!! There was no apology given at all for what was happening. Just a complete waste of money and time off from work. Will NEVER use my vacation haven again. Stay away! read more

We booked the luau 6406 in Sandestin. It was a pretty nice condo. Just needs to be updated and the carpet replaced. The beach was just a short walk away. The pool was awesome especially with the waterfall. The views were nice. And if you stay here you definitely have to check out the view from the sunset deck! read more

I've booked condos in Westwinds at SanDestin from My Vacation Haven since at least 2009, maybe longer. I stay for a month every fall, and I am very satisfied with their service. The price I pay is a fraction of what SanDestin real estate charges. Dates have always been flexible, and suited to my needs, albeit at a slightly higher price. Dana is excellent to work with and I highly recommend her. My only complaint, and the reason I don't offer a five star review is that because of the high volume of short term rentals involved, their computerized guest management system lacks any flexibility, and sometimes seems impersonal. read more

Booked thru vacation haven for a quick trip to sandestin. We go every year, but this was our first time going thru vacation haven. called earlier in the week to see if we could get an earlier check in and they said just call the day of so they can coordinate with housekeeping. Well we did just that and was told they made a note in the computer and would call when ready. So I called two more times once we got there to see if they were close to ready. Check in is at 3. So we arrive at 1:45 after killing time and the cleaning crew is obviously long gone. It's 2:05, code doesn't work. They said they haven't heard from housekeeping and I had to literally twist her arm to ask her to call me again when it's ready. Meanwhile I have two whiny kids and melting food in my cooler. We take kids to pool and at 2:52 I get a call our room is ready. I asked if our code would work and she says no. Ok then....then she says "I can get you a new code if you want." Gees, I've waited an hour, what's 8 minutes!!? Totally unaccomodating. We come to sandestin every year and have never had this sort of treatment. No one wanted to help or go the extra mile. If they can't do a check in prior to 3, they need to tell you up front and be firm. Don't be wishy washy. And what really irked me was getting several emails from them the day before we left wanting me to text or email what time we would be checking out. WTF? Check out says 10am. Why would I help y'all out when you stuck to your 3pm check in. I'm worn out just thinking about it still. I'll stick to vrbo.com thanks!! read more

Sandestin is our family vacation location for more than ten years. We have stayed in the Hilton hotel, Grand Sandestin Hotel, and Luau. All are very nice. The resort and the beach are just gorgeous and there are lots of activities for kids. We went through Hilton to Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort to My Vacation Haven. In the past 5, 6 years, we have used My Vacation Haven, and never had any problem with their services or rooms. We once had a broken bathroom light, but they came out and fixed it quickly. The price we paid with My Vacation Haven is much cheaper (probably half to three quarters) than Hilton or Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort. The only thing is that there is no cleaning service during the stay. read more

Don't use these folks. Read the fine print. When renting with them, if you don't buy the travel insurance they will charge a $3000 refundable security deposit. If you disagree and cancel, they will change you $50 to cancel since you don't want to pay the security deposit. A bunch of crooks who fee you to death. We stayed at a condo in Crystal Cove managed by My Vacation Haven. The condo is more like an apartment complex with most of the units rented by young families long term. No parking. Only enough parking for one vehicle per unit. Most of the long term renters have several vehicles. Most of the time we had to find parking several blocks away. Brought this to the managers attention and was told there was nothing they could do about it. I found the staff at My Vacation Haven to be rude and condescending. They are in need of some people skills! I would not recommend renting through them. You get nothing extra. If you rent through Sand Destin you get access to all the amenities. Here you get a rubber band that allows you to ride the trolley. By the way if the rubber band is lost they charge you $10 per band. Only problem is the trolley stop is a mile away from the condo. The bedroom TV's are wore out with remotes not working. One remote is ducked tape together. Again nothing they can do about it, too bad so sad. read more
