Both rentals also had pool access, the home a private, heated pool that we greatly enjoyed. In addition to the properties though, the staff was excellent! We had trouble finding the first location because our gps was down and customer service guided us over the phone to the property. We also had a complementary fresh sweet bread and bottled waters left for us during our second stay. I highly recommend a stay with Five Star Beach Properties - they make the booking process (over the phone or via their user friendly website) easy, the properties are one of a kind with state of the art amenities and great views, and the customer service is fantastic.

I'll begin with their customer service...the rudeness AFTER you've stayed with them and they've gotten your money is unacceptable to say the least. I left an item on their property a very expensive wig. My family checked into the same property that I'd stayed at the very same day that I checked out so I had them look for it...once it had been cleaned by housekeeping. It was not located by my family after telling them exactly where I left it...so I contacted Five Star Properties...after days of receiving the run around and of my reaching out numerous times I was told that it was not found. I mentioned to the VERY RUDE representative VANESSA that my first off my family had searched for the wig and didn't find it and that. She mentioned to me that she was the one that initially took down the report...I then mentioned to her that I'd spoke with another representative who informed me that she was fairly new and had never even notified the housekeepers of the wig being missing. Vanessa became very angry and disrespectful to me even hanging up on me. People on this level should NEVER be working for a place where yiu are spending $10k to stay 3 nights. I asked several times to speak with a manager and she refused saying she was who I had to speak with. Again maybe she was having back flashes thinking she was still at "The Waffle House"...no disrespect to The Waffle House"..but I was completely floored by the conversation. Not to mention again, she rudely hung up on me...simply because I insisted on speaking with a manager. There were also issues with the home that we stayed in that I wasn't even going to address with them since my family chose to go there when we left...like the elevator wasn't working (although they sent a repair guy on day 2) the pool jets weren't working...the microwave stopped working and my family had to fix that...and on our last day there the dishwasher stopped working...so we had to hand wash everything...mind you my family checked in there because the place they were staying in flooded and had bugs...smh and they had limited options. Five Star Properties PLEASE PLEASE do better. You cannot charge the kind of money that we spent and provide the service that you've provided. I spoke with Felicity (who I'm guessing did what she could with my request for the search of my wig) and also Taylor ( who told me that Vanessa was new and had not filed the initial report so he did). Taylor was also the one who reached out to inform me that the wig was not found. A wig sounds like a seamless item...and maybe it is but I paid over $1k for it thus the reason for my reaching...which wasn't an easy call for me to have made. AGAIN Five Star do better! FOLKS RUN DONT WALK FROM THIS COMPANY!!! THE HOMES LOOK BEAUTIFUL ON THE SITES BUT THEY'RE NOT WORK THE MONEY OR THE HEADACHES!!!

My only complaint with the pool area is the actual pool. I haven't seen the indoor pool, but it would be nice to have another pool that isn't swarmed with children and 3 feet deep. The staff are very helpful, and the repair man who helped fix our room door and shower fixed it quickly and was super helpful and efficient. The front desk attendants where very helpful when our room wasn't in the system. Margaritaville being a 2 minute walk from my room is awesome and the food and attractions are awesome. Overall not a bad place, just a few things I wish were different.

I want to be clear that this message is not about trying to get free money or make a scene. I do very well for myself financially. The problem is simply that this stay completely missed the mark compared to what was advertised and expected. From day one, the problems started immediately. When we arrived, the golf cart was only charged to around thirty percent. We attempted to go to dinner, and during that trip I ended up getting my shorts wet and stained from the condition of the cart. On top of that, the golf cart died on the way back to the house and barely made it home. The following day, we attempted to go to Publix through the gate access provided for guests. Unfortunately, the required access sticker had not been placed on the golf cart by the owner, so we could not get back through the gate. We were basically told to just keep the golf cart on the property and avoid leaving the premises, which defeats one of the main conveniences of staying there. We were also threatened with a one hundred dollar fine for a vehicle parked in front of our residence that did not even belong to us. Then, while riding through town, security stopped us because my infant grandson was sitting in the front seat of the golf cart and informed us that it could result in another one hundred dollar fine. On top of that, the refrigerator stayed around fifty-two degrees for nearly two days before anything was corrected. We lost a large amount of lunch meat and groceries we had purchased for a planned charter fishing trip and had to replace everything out of pocket. The golf cart issues continued throughout the stay and would not hold a charge properly. We had to contact maintenance multiple times because it kept dying. Then, to make matters worse, the Wi-Fi also stopped working entirely. We had four kids in the house with no internet access, which created another major inconvenience during the trip. During our stay, we also became friendly with several neighboring families because we were all traveling with children and socializing with other parents. After speaking with multiple guests, it became clear that we were not the only ones experiencing ongoing issues. The neighbors beside us mentioned that only one out of three televisions in their rental was functioning properly, and one of their golf carts reportedly had a bad bearing going out in it. There were many conversations between families throughout the stay regarding maintenance problems and ongoing frustrations with the properties. One thing that stood out to us was that the review section on My Vacation Haven's website does not appear to reflect the experiences many guests are actually having. However, when looking at outside platforms such as Google and Yelp, there are numerous negative reviews describing similar issues. At the end of the day, it just felt like one issue after another the entire stay. We come on vacation to relax and spend time with family, not spend our trip dealing with maintenance problems, fines, dead batteries, spoiled food, and internet outages. I simply wanted to provide honest feedback because this experience fell far below expectations and really missed the mark.

Especially if you're going to lie. And the bugs.....they were alive and tons, I mean TO S under the couch and beds! That place had not been cleaned if forever! Toenail trimmings on the rug so bad you wouldn't even want to walk on it. Dirty rugs! Felt like they had a gummy film on them. You have a 2.5 rating....did you go and lie about all the others bad reviews too? And I didn't even mention the grill outside....covered in nasty gunk that's been on there forever and not cleaned because it was there the first time which was over 4 years ago. We didn't use it then because it was disgusting and this time too! You need a new cleaning crew and you need to stop lying!
