Perl got on the floor to greet my pet, allowed him to lick his face, and then gently proceeded with the exam.

TL/DR They are a vet…read morein name only. They treat you like a financial meal plan and you are only there to provide for the exorbitant costs to run this BUSINESS. Longer version as a 10 year CUSTOMER. Pros - -They provide veterinary care at a large facility that can do all X-rays, surgeries and grooming under one roof. - Good experience with surgical outcomes, specifically with Dr Rapp. - Front staff- Patrick was always helpful and kind. He was not the only one, but he definitely stood out. - I'll be fair and post this as a positive but they are 1 for 2 on medical emergencies. One time they helped the next day but there was another time they wouldn't let us bring our pet in and told us to go elsewhere. Cons -Financial meat grinder -Not flexible with appointments. Appointments are often a month out before you can be seen. Is your pet just supposed to suffer for weeks? -Everything is at minimum twice the cost as you can get anywhere else. One of the vets breeds miniature schnauzers for profit - where in the world is the integrity in that? -Different vet every time so they even if they did act like they care- they never actually get to know your pets. This also leads to wildly different speculations on treatment. - Just an overall miserable, lousy experience over a ten year period. Everyone seems miserable and unhappy. -I would dread going here every time, but thought there were not any vets out there any better than they are. I was wrong. I found a far superior veterinarian experience. I have to drive an hour away, but it is absolutely without a doubt worth it. I suggest you do the same.

I look forward to seeing her again.

I wish we had used this practice for all of her care. My husband and I feel so grateful for the doctors and the staff at Town & Country. They are a wonderful, attentive, respectful, and caring team! When the moment came when we saw our cat was beyond help and feeling discomfort, the practice responded with such care and compassion for our cat, and for my husband and myself. I believe your pet will receive top care here. Also, communication is clear, the practice makes time for urgent needs, and their prices seem quite fair.

At one point the vet, Dr Walker, recommended that I hire a driver for our dog to drive her to several other states for care. I asked if she was joking, she was not. I was pleasant and asked relevant questions. The interaction took me by surprise. But this interaction is very telling, because it indicated how little she was interested in helping my dog. She was dismissive of my concerns of serious chronic illness, too. I want an advocate not an adversary. I can chalk it up to every one has bad days, but I dont want to go back to confirm. I cant motivate her to help my dog. I can't even motivate her to be respectful or courteous. Therefore, I will seek care elsewhere.

Somehow my dog was given a Gabapentin prescription which is a medication for seizures, anxiety, and…read more(maybe) pain. Gabapentin is not a drug approved by the FDA for dogs. An extremely common side effect of Gabapentin in a dog is confusion and wobbly walking. I took my dog to the Norbeck Animal Clinic because of these side effects, and the vet I got on that particular day was bad. That vet decided that the problem was a cognitive disorder and thought the Gabapentin would cure it (which is not what Gabapentin does). She also prescribed clindamycin for meningitis. Clindamycin is not recommended for meningitis (at least in humans), and she had no reason to say that it was meningitis except for the wobbly walk. (I do know that medical doctors never prescribe medications until they test for the disease.) After three weeks my dog was in really bad shape, and I was informed that the dog should be put down. Fortunately I was able to make enough sense of what the vet was trying to do, and I stopped giving my dog Gabapentin, and he had a total recovery in less than two days. There are so many vets in the Norbeck Animal Clinic. I don't know how informed all of the vets are, but I now wouldn't trust any of them. I feel very lucky that my dog survived Norbeck Animal Clinic.

My dog has a health condition, Addison Disease. It has been a great concern to me, and has not always been dealt with at other animal hospitals in a thorough and knowledgeable manner. I brought my dog here, upon a referral and was thoroughly impressed and at ease. We were treated in a professional manner at all times. The staff even obtained the necessary records from our former vet. The cost here has been reasonable. I am sad to say, we have moved from the area and I'm in a search for the same trusted hands I have found here. As you know, the health of your pet is so important. My dog helped get my through breast cancer and now another major life event. Thank you to everyone at Brookeville Animal Hospital for all that you do. I just want you to know how grateful I am to everyone and how important you all are to the care of our pets.

She listened to all of our concerns. She was very knowledgeable about her answers. She put the medicine in his ears and arranged for a follow up appointment. We never had a follow up appointment any other time that he had an ear infection. That might be why he seemed to get so many infections. They probably never fully went away. When we went back he still had an ear infection. She explained everything to us and answered any questions. My dog actually needed surgery to remove a lump and brush his teeth. She explained everything to us. They even dealt with our constant calls when we were worried about him having surgery. She did a wonderful job! His teeth are nice and white. The mass was removed and identified. She answered all of our questions about biopsies and everything when we picked him up. I recommend her to anyone looking for a vet.
