My vinyasa is located on ACC campus near airport blvd. I signed up for the 6pm R&B class on Sunday! The class was very sexy and relaxing!! I loved the playlist and all the chill tunes. The instructor was also really nice and demonstrated every pose. The dim lighting was also great! The studio was very clean and spacious. I absolutely love this yoga studio. I had been looking for a studio offering gentle and restorative classes for quite some time, and I am so happy to have found them here. I drive about 30 mins. each way, but they are so worth it. The space is cozy, with two main studios, two nice restrooms stocked with hygiene supplies (I just think this is a nice touch), and a welcome area with cubbies for your shoes that smells like incense, and where you are always warmly welcomed. Sometimes instructors invite you to choose an intention card. The studios have adjustable lighting and overhead fans, and there are plenty of props available (you can bring your own mat or rent one). There is an interesting plumbing system in the building where pipes sometimes make burbling water noises. Rather than being a distraction, I find this actually oddly comforting -- sounds like gushes of rainwater or something. My favorite classes so far are Mindful Movement & Meditation, which involves 30 minutes of gentle stretch and 30 mins of meditation (this formula is my personal idea of heaven!), and there's also a Nervous System Reset taught by Sam Pullen, which must be experienced to be understood. It's an interesting somatic-style healing experience that will leave you wrung out but peaceful. Every instructor here has unique gifts and something to offer you, if you show up with an open heart and mind. The only tiny detractors for me: parking can be an issue (you battle for space with ACC in the attached garage--though students are not supposed to park there, they do, anyway), and it can be difficult to navigate the My Vinyasa Practice website to find the class schedule and sign up for classes -- I get the sense the studio heavily leans towards teacher training, and markets those classes primarily. read more

I discovered this place when someone on my neighborhood's Buy Nothing Group gave away 2 free class passes and I have never looked back. They also have a free community class outdoors at 6:30pm every Wednesday and a free indoor community class on Sundays at 10:30am. It is clean, always smells nice, I have enjoyed every teacher I have had and every single staff has been a pleasure to talk to. I can't recommend this place enough. Their paid classes are also only $10 or more (donation based-ish) so it's very affordable. I definitely continue going here for a long while. read more

YES! YES! YES! I have always dreamed of getting my 200 Hour YTT Certification and I am so happy I went with My Vinyasa Practice. They have an amazing online certification that worked so perfectly with my schedule. They really give you a variety of materials as well to make sure that you are all set on your journey as a Yoga teacher. Communication: The communication between my peer support to my mentors were phenomenal. Anytime I needed anything or had a question, they always responded quickly. MVP encourages a sense of community with a Facebook group, online study groups, and online office hours that connect students from all over the United States, Canada, Europe, and elsewhere. This is my the only place that can get me up for a morning workout. The studio smells great, the teachers are fantastic (I've taken classes with Tara and Traci), they follow COVID precautions very well, and it's always the perfect level of practice for me. I feel really welcomed and accepted there. Tara asks at the beginning of class if there's anything particular bothering us and will incorporate that into practice. She provides options for modifications in general but also specifically to injuries/limitations you mention (mine is a wrist injury). A big point as well is that pricing is reasonable and flexible. It's donation-based which is great during this pandemic time as some times I can afford more than others. Also, I really love the location because it's right next to Bennu so I can treat myself to coffee afterwards. read more

I went in for the second time on Sunday at noon 11/7/21 and both times I unfortunately experienced really rude front staff. It was not just one person that was rude. Had bad experiences with three different front desk people. The energy is off and negative. I say hi, hello and I get a dead stare, it's weird. Then I asked which room we are practicing in and another person, this time a man that just shrugs his shoulders and says "um I think it's in there" pointing to a room because he is too busy opening up the bag to his take out food. I say goodbye and again nothing. I will not be retuning to subject myself to the jerks that work there. The yoga teacher was sweet! read more

Everything about My vinyasa practice has blown my mind, from the 200 hour yoga teacher training program I'm currently taking to the yoga studio! The teachers are all extremely skilled and have been taught well by Michelle - our fearless leader =) Taking the 200 hour ytt program has been by far the most amazing experience of my life.. there are a ton of other yoga studios who offer, maybe similar, yoga training programs...but myvinyasapractice really has something special. Not only are we learning proper alignment, and how to compose beautiful sequences but to learn all the philosophy behind yoga is something else.. (it's probably my favorite part!)
