I have been seeing Elayne for almost a year now for issues surrounding my hip and some other areas. I can put your mind at ease if you are wondering if she is really that good because she is Amazing. To give you some perspective, I am a middle aged male who works in IT and is very physically active. I coach wrestling in a nearby school as this was my sport throughout most of my early years through college. I am used to pain and enduring through stuff but as I get older things just don't bend and twist like they used to - Pretty sure this sounds like most of us - Aging! Well my hip has been a problem over the past few years and was at a point that I was debating just stop coaching but the kids didn't want to hear my sob story. I reached out to Elayne and she agreed to see me at the spa she worked at. My first impression when I saw Elayne was how is this tiny woman ever going to get through and make a difference. Like most therapist, she talked to me in great detail about the problem and issue I was having. After that first session, review is on Yelp under the Blue Spa in DC, let's just say Elayne made a huge difference. I setup another appointment a few weeks later, had to take some time to let what work she did, work into my system and as well have to work and coach. Our next appointment was at her home office, where I felt more at ease versus being at a spa. Elayne again remained focused and attentive to my body's response with the pressure she was using. Again, after this appointment more relief but not 100%, 100% better than when I before I saw her. It's just the injury and being in the middle of the season, we both agreed that once the season was over she could stay in front of the problem versus right now is just providing relief. I saw Elayne a few more times before the end of the season and each time the issue was getting better. The season ended and I have been able to see Elayne a few more times so she could stay in front of the problem. I just finished another appointment with her and let me say that here in a few weeks our season begins again and this coach is 100%. As I said in my previous review, Elayne hands are truly a gift that she is blessed with and is able to tune in your body so it is in harmony. Elayne is heading out to California after the summer to attend a course to better her skills and provide more services options to us - out of tune people. I don't just recommend Elayne, I would say that if you are able to get an appointment you are blessed. She is very professional, never rushed, not overpriced, and really has a gift with her hands. I know many of you are thinking, magical hands or she is attentive to how your body reacts - big deal. Elayne is as I already said very professional, attentive, focused but she does have a gift in that tiny body of hers that honestly her hands do make you feel better. Still wondering if Elayne is that good, I recommend that you call her and schedule an appointment and see for yourself. What you will find is that you now have a therapist who will actually listen to your issues and concerns and focus on those as well help with other things. Elayne is not good, she is simply Amazing.
